Steps to reproduce: 1. Add video transitions to a few edit points 2. Select the edit points (Ctrl/Cmd-drag to select them) 3. Hit Delete, or right-click an edit point and and choose Clear Result: Clear will only delete one transition, not all the selected ones. It should not be possible to accidentally link _proxy files as originals. I've seen quite a lot of users accidentally do this when relinking. They think Premiere Pro is asking for the original, when it's actually asking for the prtoxy file. This creates a lot of unexpected behavior, relinking issues etc. _proxy files should never accidentally be attached as originals. If people do this, it should be a very deliberate choice. And it should definitely not be possible to attach the same file as both original and proxy at the same time. It seems that Premiere Pro will allow this - but only until we close the project and re-open it. Then it will ask us to relink. Give us a warning and some guidance so we can avoid trouble!

In Premiere Pro beta 24.4.0, build 32, the white corners that indicate Media Start (first frame of video) are there, but the white corners that indicate Media End (last frame of video) are missing. This seems to only happen when media and sequence frame rates are different. In practice, this means all the material with variable frame rate (which I seem to get a lot of these days) and all media shot at 29.97 in a 25 fps sequence are missing the end whiote corner. In a way it makes sense, since the media actually may have a few milliseconds more media, but it also makes it impossible to see at a glance what clips have been edited at the tail) and not. It's not clear to me what method the OP is using to export the images. If you use the Export tab and choose TIF or PNG, you can choose the bit depth.

In version 22.2.1 and 24.3 beta (build 44), proxies made for Interpreted footage add a freeze frame after the original duration. Both Windows and macOS. Example: 1. Import clips with frame rate 29.97 2. Interpret frame rate to 25 3. Create proxies Result: Proxies work fine up to the original clip length (they get longer after interpretation), but after that, they show just a freeze frame. Expected result is moving images, not freeze frame. This workflow has been working perfectly fine since version 22.6, but with the new proxy presets, it's broken. Please fix.

It's true that you can't move individual points if they are outside the panel, but you can move the whole mask. And if you maximize the panel, you should have lots of space on the sides if working on an ultrawide monitor. See image. I do agree that it could be simpler, like in After Effects. I'm just offering a pretty good workaround for those who may not know about it.

See image. The Keyboard Shortcuts Editor does not show the keyboard shortcuts we can set for Text-based Editing in the Text panel. They are not searchable either, so we simply can not set them. Since none of them are set on a Norwegian keyboard by default, we're not able to edit from or in the Text panel using keyboard shortcuts. Bad bug. It shows in 24.1, but not in 24.3.0 beta build 21. See images. This bug has been coming and going for a while now. It's about time we squash it.

Even though it's not possibloe to create a mask point outside the frame, you can create it inside the frame and then drag it out of the frame. I use this method all the time.

The file id entry in the XML shows the file name, while the clipitem id shows the name of the Source Clip name inside of Premiere Pro. Not sure how Resolve can be told to use the file id.

It's been a while since we got the Settings panel, but is there really STILL no way to change the Tone Mapping Method on multiple clips? Any plans to fix this? It seems that the team thinks they have this done, because the Apply to All Instances button is there. But my clips are not instances of the same file, they are separate files. So I have to click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click a lot to change the Tone Mapping Method. This feels like going back to the late 90's, when it comes to user friendliness and efficiency. Please fix this very soon! Pretty please!

This is a huge improvement! I especially like that it imports only the top folder of "camera formats" like ACVHD, XDCAM, etc. Nice. Thank you! The new Import mode still fails to import Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files, though, even when importing a whole folder with its content. It's about time Adobe supports its own format in this mode, so we don't have to drag from Finder/Explorer or use the Media Browser for .ai files. It's 2024—you can make it happen! 😊

The UI in this forum is not exactly perfect for images, and when they don't have proper names, it's a bit hard to navigate them. But I think it's better if you can share a small project with a short sample file. If that's not possible, at least a project file with no media, but both the sequence you're exporting from, and the one you're adding the re-imported clip to, would be nice. I don't yet fully understand how you're using that exported file in your new sequence - and what sequence settings that sequence has. If the channels are routed differently (say, panned to the middle instead of to the left and right,) you're mixing the tracks, and that will result in different levels.

Sorry, the notification ended up in the spam folder. But we need more info. When you say "Generally, upon re-importing them into Premiere, it shows around -26 LUFS" How are you measuring that? What are your sequence settings? What are the Export settings? Screenshots tell us much more than a lot of words.

Have you used Interpret Footage on the clips? Is Audio set to 48 kHz in Audio Hardware Preferences, and are all clips 48 kHz? Would it be possible for you to share the project file? And maybe even one clip and its proxy file?

Hi Theresa, I've tried to do some Photoshopping to illustrate my point. Most MOGRTs I make are NOT full screen, and they're NOT all 16/9. I think the previews should be square, not 16x9 - that's SO 2022. 🙂 In a square preview box, the 16x9 MOGRTs and the 9x16 MOGRTs would fill the same area. Why should 9x16 MOGRTs be smaller in the preview? Makes no sense to me. Also, see how easy it is to see the boundaries when I changed the background from black to dark gray? Everyone can see what aspect ratio they are at a glance. Please don't give us a black background outside of the boundaries! Anything else but black will do.

Fantastic! Does it also get rid of the super-strange aspect ratio of the AE MOGRT thumbnails in Premiere Pro? All of them should be square by default IMO, as the real aspect ratio of a MOGRT could be anything between 16x9 and 9x16 (plus some more). But it would be nice if the background would show the boundaries of the MOGRT. Black (transparent) areas are now rendered as black, as they probably should, but since the background of a thumbnail is also black, the boundaries do not show.

Are the audio clips linked to video clips? For some obscure reason that only Adobe developers can understand, Multicam Flatten will only flatten Multicam Audio that's linked to Multicam Video. If they're not linked, link them temporarily, and oyu should be able to flatten.

Specs from broadcasters are often outdated, and too specific. Premiere Pro will make OP1a exports that adhere to the standard, so you should not be able to create a non-standard file. It seems you've doen everyhting right, so I'm guessing that the rejection is caused by the audiuo or video levels. I think you'll just have to ask them why the file is rejected - or you'll just be guessing. When you know why it's rejected, at least you have a chance to fix it. If it's the video levels, and no setting in the Video Limiter effect works, there are some brute force methods I can explain. But first you'll have to find out what it is about the file that upsets their system.

@R Neil Haugen Correct. But since the Project Manager transcoded the Re. 2021 PQ files to Rec.709, the proxies that it copied over look wastly different from the new ProRes 422 HQ files. So the Project Manager has not been updated to allow for the different color spaces that the rest of the software now supports. @Shebbe I do have a Resolve License, but I'm on Windows.

I would probably be very confused if the software started adding edits I did not ask for. I do see the logic here, but I think I would often forget to clean up the edits after the trim, and that would quickly get very messy. It would be great to see an example from a real project where this behavior would be beneficial. It's a good thing it can be turned off 🙂
