Using the Community

Hello everyone, I've been trying to get back in the graphic design industry for a while now and I was going to do 2 things, get my certification in Adobe Illustrator (ACE) and get my resume professionally written. (By Monster.com)But lately I've been thinking; should I even bother doing both? I can afford to do both but at the same time I'm not made of money. Basically I'm asking if the ACE is even worth it; some people say yes and some people say no, it seems to be the same thing when it comes to resume writing services too.So what are your thoughts; which choice would be better if I could only choose one? I've looked into this question beforehand and am still not sure.

Hi,I'm hoping to attract some assistance from an Adobe representative?We're a web design agency who have a number of software subscriptions and ongoing problems with Adobe billing / customer support. I've spent hours of wasted business hours on the phone and so am trying the forums instead. The last person I spoke to last week, Prabhanjan, abandoned my call after 1hr and 20mins, as he didn't know how to fix the billing issue we have and said he couldn't give me any ref / case number to call back with. Extremely frustrating and very poor customer service. The series of billing issues we've had over the past 4 months have all been due to errors on Adobe's part and have been a nightmare to resolve. There are no email addresses to contact, so I'm hoping someone might pick this thread up?The problem that we're currently having is related to vat.Thanks in advance.

I am looking that Russian support is very pure. Site adobe.ru has links to fake documents, for example: given links to manuals for CS6, but ahen I clik on it I'v got 1page PDF with CS6 English manual and CS5.5 manual. No clear links for feedback (I am even not shure that somebody will read this, but it's problem more for all adobe products, has long been considered a good practice have link for feedback or bugreport from program directly) No Russian forum, problems in Russian vertion of inDesign. For sure other Russian products have them too. No month licenses, saw it only for English version.I understand that no so lot of moneys from Russia. Everybidy use pirate's vertions and so on... But fact is that yours product used, needed, have specialists and I am sure can be selled somehow anyway. It's interrelation. And only Adobe have ability cahnge it. Stupid wait from pepople that they will start buy your product and bring moneys at ones without normal service and flaxible cost politic.

I have been using PS and LR for a few years and now I have CC so I have access to all the apps. I have a huge online backup system going and now am running into issues trying to find photos/vids. I am hoping someone can help me with this question. I currently use CrashPlan+ to back up all my pic/vid files. I have no complaints except when I want to use restore I can only see file type/name but not a preview. So its hit and miss when trying to restore a generic file name photo/vid. My question is, is there an Adobe CC product that I can use to generate separate thumbnails that I can generate and save to a file that has all the files in a given folder. That way I can just restore the thumbnail file for that folder and see what files are in it with preview pics and find which files on the CrashPlan+ restore console to download. That way I can restore a much smaller file with views of all pics vs having to restore a whole folder of 25+mb files just to find the one I want.  Thanx in ad

My CS6 Production suite for Windows 8 does not update from the help menu? The appilcation Manager says: "The update server is not respondiing, the server might be offline temporarily..." I have registered correctly. I have turned off my AVG virus protection and tried to update my software, still the Application Manager gives the same response. When I login, I can see that my serial numbers are there, so it must have registered correctly.Help!

Just wondering, what is the oldest Adobe master collection that works Mac os 10.8? Does anyone still use older software below cs4?

I'm not a fan of your new forum login/logout policy. While the login form has a "remember me" option, it does not appear to do anything. I still must login one or more times per day to participate in discussions.

Hi. I imported media and made a multi-camera sequence, set the in/out points, exported each camera with identical in/out points. However, the exported durations differ by a few frames even though I'm conforming to ProRes with same in/out points. Anyone know why they are not accurate to the frame? This worked out fine in FCP7.

But i'll just say it easier:I host my own minecraft server (bukkit) and i want so people can donate, Thats solved because i made a donating button with paypal so thats done (or if i need to do another way) and im going to put it on my website (like i said if i need another way) and, a screw it!If someone could code a plugin that makes so if someone donate through my website they get reward on my server! The forum selection by product drop down is buggy. As soon as you mouse out of the field to the drop down list, the drop down list dissappears making it impossible to select via the mouse. Just thought you might want to know.

Hi I've been wondering which plan we could get with my association.We are an Inclusion site, in other words a really small association to help unemployed person find a formation/job.We produce with Adobe and other softwares, just to point it out since it might change which plans we have access to.I see you have multiple offers like plans for Individuals which seem like the best offer for our association, and others for Teams & Business & Education.Education would be actually the best offer, but can we benefit this offer ?Are we limited to an offer ? Hi all,working in Muse I created a news updater of sorts using one of the pre set widgets.What I would like to do is have the latest News item pop up first when people arrive at news page but can only find control to auto shuffle or flow in original order.I didn't want to break all widget content down and have to reput all news items in another order just to do as is pointless, so wondered if there was a way to do this anyone else had used?May just be a fairly unorthodox way of using, first Muse site created so very much still learning.Probably makes no sense from what I am saying. I am trying to fill out my profile so that co-workers can see my questions. I tried putting my companies web page so that remote co-workers would know it was me.   Because my screen name does not resemble my real name they would not be able to recognize me.   Is this possible to do in my profile or is it needed?

Sometime in the last 2 weeks the Top Participants List has undergone major changes in both the Bridge and Photoshop Forums.  People that were not even on the list 2 weeks ago are now Top Contributors even though they have not visited the site in years.Has Jive changed the rules on who is listed?  If so what are the new rules?  I know when the Forums consoladated everyone went back to zero rank and had to work there way up from there.

I the past couple days, I have to log in every time I visit the Forums, even though I have the "Remember me" box checked. I don't even have to enter my information to log in, I just have to click the "Sign in" button. I tried coming through Adobe's home page, where I was logged in, but when I got to the Forums, I wasn't.I don't see this problem with IE or Chrome. Any idea how to get Firefox working right again? I don't have this trouble with any other board I visit, but (fortunately) none of them use Jive.

I am concerned about being forced to the cloud eventually. Subscription costs are expensive and at some time I may be forced to leave for costs savings. My files are copyrighted and should remain mine and have access always. Adobe said they are working on options. There should be no options to this right,but a total access. I am also concerned about security with my work on the cloud.i am happy I will still have access to CS6 for an upgrade but would like a much longer time frame.I feel in time we will all feel the pinch of the subscription and suggest that within a given time frame using the CC , we would have more than paid for the products and leaving should be able to retain the last product upgrades used exclusively, as our own and take them with us.

Hello.  I don't know if I'm in the right place to ask this.  I searched the forums for awhile and finally decided to try here.I am wanting to create/design an app for my company.  I created something similar through Flash with AS2 where you clicked on a button and it played a video.  It seems pretty simple.  I want to make it an app now.  However, to make it an app in Flash, I need to design it with AS3.  I don't know how to do that.So, does anyone know what the best software is to use for making an app that will play on iOS and Android, Blackberry, and Windows devices?  I thought about Digital Publishing Suite, but there doesn't seem to be a place where I can test that out.Help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!EDIT:  Also, this app would need to be placed somewhere where a person could re-download it whenever there was an update.  I thought about just creating an interactive magazine with videos in it and putting it on newsta

We're seeing a messge in the browser of "Waiting for wwwimages.adobe.com..." occassionally when we're launching an internal enterprise Flex application.Checking several of the links on that site, including http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/ubi/template/identity/lib/swfobject.add on.js and http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/lib/com.adobe/urlParser.js, most do not contain Adobe copyright statements or anything truly indicating this is a valid site. One file, http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/ubi/template/identity/adobe.js, does have a copyrigfht notice from 2001, but it's half way down the file, not at the top.The site is registered to Akamai Technologies, which is a cloud provider. I just got off the phone with Adobe; they confirmed it's not a site they own. If you goodle "wwwimages.adobe.com" threat, you'll see that files from this server are associated with a number of trojans.I'm concerned that we have malware installed that's not being detected by our enterprise

I hope someone can help with this. I am closing down the email address I used when I signed up with adobe, years ago. I am a creative cloud member, I use Muse and business catalyst to publish several websites.  So a couple weeks ago, I was able to finally get adobe to let me use my new email address; I think they ADDED my new address to my exsisting account.  I tried to CHANGE my email address that is associated with my adobe id but that couldn't be done for some reason.  So now I have 2 loggin's that I can use to loggin to my adobe accound, HOWEVER, when I loggin to my second account, none of the creative cloud memberships show up or any of the products that I've purchased over the last 15 years, there is no history.  So now when I open Muse which I've used for the past year and a half and have published several websites through, it says my trial has 25 more days left in it.  So my question is, how can I use my new email address and still get my purchase histo
