The box for changing pages in the main page of this forum was changed from its initial format showing only the first two pages to the presentwhich provides a convenient way to go directly to the last page in the absence of a Last button. However, the forum in Spanish still shows the first two pages only:This is not very convenient in a 159 pages list:And the situation is similar at least in the French forum."Fortunately", in the case of the Spanish forum, the last page begins been shown when, after 19 clicks and 19 times waiting for a page change, one gets to page 20 of the list. Which is better than having to go through 158 clicks ans 158 page changes, but also not very convenient.

hi all, please help, have done this before but some evades me now, need to do scroll bars on a table where the content is much longer than the page intended, please assist am using adobe dreamweaver CS4, would greatly appreciate, urgent

Hello,I have tested this page in a few ways on a couple of platforms. FF, Safari, and even IE on windows have no problem with it. Dreamweaver Browser Compatibilty and W3 validation for XHTML and CSS both have no problem with it. However Opera makes hozontal spacing gaps between the navigation buttons that are between the top and the white area. Why? I can post any of the code if people can't see it in view source. So if Adobe really does start to come around and consider the fact that this "Jiveware" is not working out to everyone's satisfaction, has anyone discussed or researched the alternatives yet?Obviously they have had their own internal research but it doesn't mean we can't help and make suggestions based on well functioning examples of high traffic forums that we may have seen on other sites.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Internet_forum_softwareWiki has a section here (if the link works) with "subarticles" that contains ASP, PHP, and "Other" forum software comparisons.It's not like Adobe is the only company that has a long list of high volume forums out there--what do others use?  I'm sure it's not Jiveware.

Hello,no month goes by without some critical adobe updates. That makes every administrator nervous, because there is no easy way to update about 500 computers within one week.So please implement in newer versions something like an ability to setup an internal update server or a remote update install (where an administrator can deploy updates (with version recognization) from remote for a complete subnet).If there is no solution for this in the next 6 month. I will (and maybe others) decide not to use adobe products anymore.RegardsStephan

This is a continuation of observations posted in the Login/timout thread.Using FF, I open a session for each forum to visit so that I can be in one forum while loading another, and I save my sessions upon quitting and open them again when restarting. Every time I has finsihed reading/posting in a thread, I return to the forum which means that when I open FF upon restart I am taken to the forums and start from there.It seems that when I login from one of the forums, I am not taken to the forum but to the last visited thread. Today, I made the login from the Illustrator forum and was taken to the last visited thread there, A golden floor, and not only that: I was taken to the Print Preview version of the thread which I had switched to after posting in order to archive it, before returning to the forum through Bookmarks.So it seems that somehow the browser history determines where I am taken.Which are your findings?

There has been some previous discussion regarding some Wiki-type formatting that happens when posts are submitted by email, which has particularly impacted people who are attempting to submit code snippets by email. I believe the safest way to post code snippets is through the web interface just to be on the safe side, but I've also procured a document that outlines the formatting that is applied to content submitted by email.This is related to a Jive Product Enhancement/Bug IDs: CS-13412.I believe their intention is to remove this Wiki functionality though this would be done as part of a major product upgrade (nothing of that nature planned for some time).Hope this documentation helps you guys make some sense of what happens when email content is processed. I've been told that everything in this documentation works except for the line break, though I have not tested these myself.

In Photoshop Windows there was a thread called "Can't install Adobe Photoshop elements 4 anymore. Why?" The OP make comments concerning using pirated software and some people, including myself, gave our opinions as to the rights and wrongs of using such.  After only eight replies, the thread was locked.  No profanity, no threats, no harsh words, no repeating messages  Seems rather quick on the trigger to me.  Just wondering why.

I am far from being an IT person and am very frustrated in loading this software.   I purchased the student version of Adobe photoshop  CS4 extended and Adobe Illustrator CS4.  My daughter had put a trial version on our computer for an art project. A month later I purchased both Adobe photoshop cs4 extended  and Illustrator 4.  I had trouble loading illustrator until I deleted the trial version.  After deleting cs4 extended, the illustrator worked. However something messed up my printer.  I did a system restore (opps) which messed up my Macafee virus.  I finally fixed Macafee with the help of the customer service.  However, the system restore took off the illustrator and put the cs4 extended version back on.  What a DAY.  I waited a week to try to reinstall illustrator and the CS4 extended.  Now my system will not let me uninstall the trial version nor put illustrator on correctly.  Help--you are my only hope.

A previous discussion dealt with the small space allocated to listing 520 forum topics in the advanced search.  The size of the box was increased and that helped.  But it seems like it would be much improved to compact the listings so just major headings are listed.As an example -  the first forum is Acrobat, which has 51 sub-headings.  This takes nearly 3 screens to advance beyond this.  Why not just list Acrobat and if a person was interested in that forum they could lick on heading and expand it to include the other 51 sub-headings?If the entire list was restructured to include just main topic, with option to expand to sub-groups, this it would compact it down to a more easily navigtable list.

Dear Adobe team,the web forum message composer lets you attach files, saying "All file types are allowed except: .doc, .bin, .dms, .lha, .lzh, .exe, .class, .so, .dll"But when trying to upload a .psd or .icc file, I got the error message The content type of this attachment is not allowed.  ....    I can counter this by renaming the files to .txt as a workaround, or zip them, but maybe you can fix the error.Thanks,Chris

Please excuse the newbie - we are using FMS 2.0.  I need to patch the buffer overlfow vulnerabilities..  The doc that Abobe supplies with the patch/upgrade releases is confusing. The doc for the 2.0.1  recommends uninstalling 2.0 prior to the 2.0.1 installation. Upgrades 2.0.2 and up do not state this.. However, installing 2.0.5 specifically mentions patching v 2.0 vulerabilities, but does not mention uninstalling first OR that prior patches need be applied...And, finally version 2.0.2 - 2.0.5 do not mention is the patches are cumulative - are they?Can anyone shed some light on this?   Any advice is greatly appreciated.Regards,John

A message to Adobe.Yes this includes all the people working on the forum, that would be JC to zeno, as well as all the Adobe suits. Personally I have never seen the comments forum so busy and the product forums so slow.Please Keep in mind that we the users want the best for these forums, we are the people that ultimately use them. For this reason and this reason only we are making lots of noise about the unuseability of these forums. What Adobe had was something that was fast  and convenient for the professional to pop in and help or find out information as well as a simple, clean looking layout. Now what we have now is slow and undesirable with a system full of googas that take up precious time and screen space in a professional environment.We want something that is good for Adobe and the users, and what we have now is not it. As much as you may try and convince yourselves it is. I realize this will fall on deaf ears just like all the other criticism, but I can only hope that one

Why don't all threads get locked as soon as they are created?  By doing that Jive would not have to FIX the known bug.

This happens at random, many times per day.  The red Adobe favicons fail to appear while waiting for data from adobe.com, and then these little green favicons end up showing up instead in the address bar, the tab name and even in the bookmark menus.I point this out because it seems tied to the long page loading times.

First of all, don't reply to this Steve!   Couldn't Steve, aka SDA, be prevailed on to use the web interface he doesn't like, just until the repeating message thing is sorted.Surely there must be enough data now to find the cause of the problem!
