Hey guys, I already found a few posts on multicore discussions but most of them remained unclear.I am going for a new system and are looking into AMD and Intel. i7 9700K or AMD 1950X or higher. That would be 8 vs 16 cores. What is the latest status in PP latest verion? What would be best to go for? Thanks,Alex

I need experienced assistance with selecting a well rounded computer and video camera for development using Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe apps.

Thank you for your time.  I have what seems like a tough decision to make. I have been using Adobe since CS2.  I’m an Instructional Design Specialist and use Ps, Ai, Id, Au, and Pr. I currently have a ZBook (K4K41UT#ABA upgraded RAM to 24GB) which IT says is end of life. I would love to have a smaller computer that is easy to transport. I am trying to upgrade my system to handle both Adobe Premiere and After Effects better, but I am on a budget. Presently it gets choppy when I scroll through HD and 4K footage. Hi everyone,I want to upgrade my system and think of a new CPU. I am willing to go up to a Intel Core i9 9900K 8x 3.60GHz. But there are also cheaper and also powerful i7s out there. So I wonder how Adobe Premiere would benefit from an i9 over an i7. Encoding has a significant impact on my daily workflow, so that's an important issue to me. 🙂Apart from core count and clock speed - does the i9 deliver any additional features Premiere benefits from?Thanks in advance for sharing your experience and thoughts! 🙂

I currently use a windows 10 OS, with an NVIDIA Quadro FX 880m graphics card. I am aware that my graphics card is not compatable with the current version of Premiere pro. Hello, I am experiencing freeze-ups and crashes in Premiere Pro. I have a good amount of RAM and a good processor so I'm not sure what the issue might be. Any help would be appreciated. Here are my computer specs: Dell Inspiron B 17, 777316GB DDR4 (16GBx1)512GB SSD - CL20nVidia Discrete Gfx N17S-G1, 2GB GDDR5Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620NVIDIA GeForce MX150Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U, FY18C2 I wish I had the computer savvy and time to research this on my own, and I really appreciate any help. The problems often start  when I'm making colour corrections or adjustments, but they can pop up any time once I have a good amount of clips and edits going. I also use a second external monitor...could this be the issue? Thanks in advance! -J

I'm debating making some system upgrades to improve my editing experience.  I work with 4k footage almost exclusively. (100mbps mp4) After a handful of cuts, some motion graphics, and maybe some optical flow on slightly slowed down footage (75-85% on 30fps footage), I start to get fairly poor timeline scrubbing and even playback issues.  As footage goes from clip to clip in an edit it will drop frames and I'll have to stop, wait a second, then restart playback to smooth it out. So I'm just trying to decide what will be my best bang for the buck to increase my performance to smooth out my workflow. Current system specs:-AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU (6-cores, 3.2 GHz, overclocked to 3.8GHz)-16GB DDR 4 G.Skill PC-2800 RAM-Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 4GB GPU-Western Digital Blue NVME m.2 SSD (Workflow/scratch disc for editing, all footage is on here and exported to here.)-Samsung 850EVO SSD (Windows and Adobe CC are installed on this drive, as is Adobe Cache.)Money is a little tight right now

I'm looking to use Premiere Pro CC with my desktop for editting mostly 1080 footage and some 4K. My desktop specs...i7-3930k (3.8GHz) 6 cores 12 threads, 32GB of ram DDR3 800MHz, EVGA GTX 580 Graphics card.I was thinking of upgrading the graphics card to a GTX1050 ti....is this worth it or should I save my money for a whole new system? 

Hey guys, I started freelancing, doing some video editing for people here and there and I enjoy it, but I'm a little worried some of my hardware components are slowing down my workflow. I currently use Premiere Pro almost every day about 30 or 40 hours a week, and only work with and export 1080p footage. The main effects I use are Lumin presets, various blur effects and chroma keying. The videos I work on for clients are no longer than 10 minutes, and they all include 2-3 video layers, two green screen chroma-keyed layers over a background video. They also include several dozennshort audio snippets and basic text overlays. MY QUESTION IS:  What else can I do to optimize my cirrent PC for a more smooth and efficient Premiere workflow, without needing to spend +$1,000 on a 9700k, a new MOBO, OS disk, amd etc? Do I really need a 9600K/9700K etc. based on the content I'm creating, or would an M2 drive, more ram and MAYBE upgrading my 7600K to a 7700K boos

Hello! I recently had somebody build a custom PC to use with Premiere. I'm mainly a Mac user so I totally relied on their advice. Here is the system they built for me: Intel Core i5 8400 CPU @ 2.8GHz 16GB RAM64 bit based processor They said that the comp was built using the reccomended spec as stated on Adobes website. When editing footage from a Canon 80D and Sony A7III playback sometimes stutters and other times it plays back with no sound even though it is there and not muted. I sometimes feel that my MacBook Air (1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 with 8GB RAM) performs better! Before I go back to the computer company can anybody give me some advice on what to say / ask for please? Thank you,

Hi, Before I get started I'll mention I am familar with computers, and have researched a lot of information on video editing over the last several months; however, I'm really having a hard time deciding whether I need to throw $1,700 into a FULL computer upgrade with the latest Intel/Nvidea tech available, or if my current 7600K build from a few generations back is suitable for the work I do in Premiere Pro. I recently picked up a nice side business freelancing editing videos using Premiere Pro. Hello, I am in the market for a new computer particularly for working in Adobe Animate (also Premiere and After Effects.) I believe Adobe Animate is not using dual cores when rendering. Or at least not under most conditions. Is this correct? I just want to try to make a smart purchase. Thank you!

I have extremely low CPU usage (20-25%) while rendering videos right in project. Already Tried different CPU accelerations. MacBook Pro 13 2018, macOS Mojave 10.14.5, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5,  16GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3,  Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536 MB.Premiere pro 13.1.3 (Build 42)
