On the system requirements page on the latest Premiere Pro CC, there is a minimum requirement to have 6th gen processor.However, I think dual xeon 2697 v3 is powerful enough to run modern editing program.Is it recommended to get the latest Premiere Pro on this processor? Would it run smoothly?

I just decided to build a new PC for photo + video editing, as well as music production, and would like your advice on parts.I'm currently leaning towards an Intel i7 9700k over Amd's Ryzen 2700, mainly because I like Intel more (even though it is more expensive).For the display, I'm waiting on a BenQ SW240 24" 1920x1200 photography monitor I just ordered on Amazon. I decided on it over a 27" Dell. I've heard the quality control of more affordable monitors like this is not the greatest, so I hope for the best as $500 is my budget.What are your thoughts? Hello, i need a simple advice to buy a processor for best performance to work in adobe premiere pro and ae enviroment. I have dilema cos i have option to buy i7 4770 and xeon 1246 v3. I heard best is i7 for adobe premire pro, but its almost double expensive. I want buy more expensive core than 4770 or 1246, but i dont know if xeon will be better option than i7? Also does it much more difference beetwen i7 and i5 for video creating up to 2k resolution?

My computer monitor is project and clip space.  My Mac is an iMac Pro 2017 2.3 Ghz Intel Xeon W Graphics Radeon pro Vegas 64 External monitor is a 58”Samsung 4KI’m using a USB-C dongle to HDMI out of the iMac to get into the Samsung.If I keep the work space on the iMac all is good but my preference is to use the Samsung for my work space.Any solutions?

I've searched high and low on forums and I'm pulling my hair out as I cannot find a solution.A bit of back story, I have recently upgraded my PC but kept the original hard drive, i.e. haven't wiped it. I'm about to buy a new 15" imac laptop and want to know where to put my money for most bang for buck.I do a lot of animation and video editing with Premiere and Photoshop open at once.I wonder if an expert can offer some guidance.my choices:1. the processor is 8-core 9th generation Intel Core i9, but I can chose either 2.3 GHz with boost to 4.8 or 2.4 GHz with boost to 5.0.  is that worth the $180 upgrade?2. Well, I thought I built a PC that would shred anything. But not my 4K h.264 footage from my Sony a7 cameras. I know this is a long GOP XAVC codec that isn't the best for editing (and proxies are the obvious solution), but surely my custom built PC beast can do better? Proxies are the devil and I want to shred without them. What's so bad about that? Am I missing something here?I "borrowed" the knowledge of my build from pugetsystems.com. I have an overclocked i9-7920x system and it's super snappy and sexy, but when I playback this footage, it still has the occasional stutter, or delayed program monitor when I shift the playhead. Once I add some effects, or rate stretch it, then it will lag even more substantially.I have three 970 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD drives that I'm working from, OS+Programs, Media, and Cache. I recently worked with an Adobe tech on a Premiere/Adobe Media Encoder issue.  I have 24GB of RAM on my system, and the tech reduced the amount allocated to Adobe applications to 8GB.   Later, I asked a second Adobe tech about this and he said I should have no more that 1/3 of my available RAM allocated to Adobe applications for optimal performance.  This runs counter to a number of other posts I've seen online that recommend allocating 75% of available RAM to Adobe applications.  Can anybody shed some light on this?

So when i work on premiere pro the preview won't be smooth like water, it would be stuttery but if i scrub through it real slow then it give me smooth live preview and i am talking about previewing in 1/2 resolution and these are 1080p 60fps videos.If I add any transitions even simple one's as a cross dissolve it will skip frames at that particular point on the first go but will show it if I scrub over it again. So I ran across this video as I was looking to upgrade my PC: 8K Video Editing BEAST! - 16 Core ThreadRipper for Premiere Pro and Resolve - YouTube The impression I received from the video was you would be able to playback and scrub 4k, h.264 media, without needing to transcode or proxy anymore.  So I built a very similar machine, but was very sad to find that though playback was solid, scrubbing still chugs badly.  I know that h.264 is very poor for editing in general, but I was hoping to make proxies or transcoding a thing of the past.Diving into deeper research, I saw that Threadripper isn't actually the best choice for premiere, I would been wiser to get an Intel 9900k, based on Pudget's tests. My question is, are any of you able to edit 4k h.264 (like from a GH4, Sony A7SII etc) with smooth playback and scrubbing without proxies or transcoding?  If so, what kind of hardware are you running for it?  Furthermore, which hardware components have the greatest effect

I'm new to the forum and somewhat new to Premiere. I have a mid-level desktop system (well, at least I don't think it's terrible), and I'm looking to upgrade a component or two. I've read the hardware recommendation FAQ and I get the gist, but I'm hoping you kind folks could tell me what my setup could benefit from specifically. I have a system with a 1TB NVME M.2 Samsung Evo 960 and a 500GB SSD Samsung Evo 850. My understanding is that the best configuration would be:1TB NVME M.2: OS, Apps, Disk Cache500GB SSD: Project Files / Source Files-footage-images-etc.I typically archive my projects to a local NAS + Cloud storage, so 500GB works fine as a project file folder. I don't mind swapping them though and having my disk cache on the SSD if the performance difference isn't that great. Hi guys, so I got some option on which I would use either Adobe Premiere or Final Cut:Laptop with i7-8550u and MX150Laptop with i7-8750h and GTX1050MacBook Air with i5-8210Y (possibly I would use Final Cut on this one)I don't have the opportunity to make some comparison neither I found anything on youtube about their performance on the PLAYBACK, which is the thing that worry me the most, not the Rendering.So which one of those should perform the best PLAYBACK with footage of 4k 60fps?

This version cost approx.1,550 $ in Germany so my intention was in 2 yrs or so I could upgrade RAM and memory when I need to. but is the processor and graphics card good enough? I'm looking for a compatibility list, recommendations, or advice on professional 360 cameras, in the market of 3,000 - $6,000.  I've found the stitching process to be the biggest pain point. GoPro's Fusion Studio is not reliable with the fusion 360 footage: it crashes regularly, doesn't import large videos that the device is capable of shooting and can be viewed unstiched, and the UI doesn't behave on my machine.  And its still honestly the best stitching software I've used.  I haven't spent much time with 360 footage in the last year or so before this fusion footage fell into my lap, so maybe the process is easier then I'm making it out to be now.  I'm looking at purchasing a camera at the $3,000-$5,000 for studio usage, and at that price point I want to ensure good results and hopefully less pain for myself.  The Insta360 Pro II Spherical VR 360 8K Camera claims that it can stitch internally for Premiere, though I believe it only does MP4 format.  I woul
