Hey everyone, I edit on a weekly basis, large media files, up to 1-3tb sometimes.I am looking to reconfigure my current hard drive storage.Right now its :1. 512 gb 850 pro (OS/Programs)2. 8tb WD Gold Internal 7200rpm HDD ( Media,Project,Cache,Exports)I have been reading on using SSD in 3-4 drive setups. But i am looking to do it like this. If it doesn't make sense let me know. Not sure if I'm expecting too much but I'm having perpetual issues with playback in Premiere Pro, whenever I have any kind of transition or effects on 4K footage... arithmetic, directional blur, zoom transitions etc the playback is unusable.  It freezes for 1-2 seconds at a time making the editing process pretty impossible.My system is a 8700K under a X62 AIO at 4.9GHz, 32GB 3000MHz Trident-Z RAM, GeForce 1080Ti, Samsung NVMe M.2 SSD, I have GPU CUDA accelerated Mercury playback enabled in the project settings, but even playing back at 1/2 resolution is way too choppy to be any use.I actually don't think with a system like that I should be suffering choppy playback at 1/2 resolution with only a couple of effects on 4K footage, so I'm inclined to believe I need to optimise some settings perhaps? Does anyone have any pointers?Cheers! Neil.

Hi guys, I have a PC without GPU and render time was very slow.So, I got with a friend one Geforce GTX 1060 6Gb and install it today.The render time reduce a lot, from 15min to 6min for ex.But the use of GPU is not in 100%, the configuration at General/Preferences is Hardware Aceleration with CUDA.The memory in GPU was very low to, but my output file was only 650MB.Now I need to buy a GPU to me, and return this to my friend.With I´m not using 100%? It´s because my CPU or RAM?If I buy an GTX 1050ti the perfomance will be the same in my case?I´m glad with 6min of render, and don´t want to change the PC.In my home I have anothe PC, with a core i5 8400, maybe with this CPU should be faster?The files are in my server, and I acess them directly to work by the network.But I noted that Premier do a buffer in my PC, and only export the final file by the LAN at the end, so, my 100Mb LAN should not be a problem.My PC:Intel Core i5 4460Asus H81M-A/BR8Gb DDR3 1666MhzSSD Kingston 120Gb SV300S37A120G

Hi, excuse me in advance for approximative english from Quebec,     a lot of our customer surf on the teleworking wave and ironicly more than often those are designer with lot of graphic workload. We are quick to take the road of VDI, RemoteFX, Horizon, Quadro.. without succes. In the other hand, I can't see nowhere that it isn't supported, nor supported. So across the entire earth and adobe forum, all I can get with search engine are some logic like "i can remotefx quake 3, therefore it would be possible to opengl remotefxing illustrator" and from there it all fall appart with more "logic" and no one really know this stuff, no official How-To from adobe, nor official information to state it will not work. But the fact is adobe is big, VDI sell, Quadro exist, telework isnt a new thing anymore. What am I doing wrong ?specifically I want to remotely work in illustrator from home with a 150/150Mbps link both side, a brand new laptop on which illustrator is running fine

What kind of performance boost can I reasonably expect from a GTX 560?Using Premiere Pro CC 2017, I am editing 4K video from my Sony a 6300, using 1080p (have not tried 720P yet, but am considering it) proxies and playing my clips back at 1/4 or 1/8 resolution. I'm also creating simple, static titles. Performance is pretty awful. Editing and playback are possible until I start adding effects such as Lumetri Color and cropping. At that point, the machine can handle 1/8 resolution at best. However, the straw that broke the camel's back was when I began creating the simple titles. Lag was so bad that I couldn't finish them. At this pace, it will take me forever to complete my small project, which will consist of about 7 clips, three to five minutes each.I have a workstation with an i7-3770 processor. I will be increasing the RAM from 4GB to 16GB next week. My OS and software are stored on a 7200 RPM internal platter drive. My project drive is a second, separate 7200 RPM internal platter.

Hello,Haven't edited a video in over a week.  Started on up today everything is lagging badly.  So I pulled up my task manager and watched my performance while I was trying to edit and saw my GPU usage skyrocketing.  even when trying to do something simple like resize one of my windows. (I have three monitors so I had to resize a window to make the task manager visible while working).  Tried a reboot, uninstall/reinstall, unistall/install 2017.  It's only happening with premiere. Hello, I  planning to upgrade from CS6 suite to CC subscription, I am still on Windows 7 and I will switch to Windows 10. I have to upgrade my 128 Gig SSD drive that is almost full. My question is about the Mother board and CPU. I definitively need a new video card. Here is the CPU bench mark. Overall this PC is performing as expected (55th percentile). I've began having issues (slow playback, freezes, lags) especially with footage from external hard drives.. Began with this one:So I checked and updated all the drivers (I thought it would be caused by an outdated graphics driver specifically). Didn't really help. I updated PP to the last version.. which helped temporarily. Then I started getting this one:So I did all kind of memory tests, everything returned a positive result (no issues found). Then I got yet another one.. Overall, Premiere has been freezing often, loading (opening up a new project) extremely slow and giving me these blue screens when scrubbing through or rendering footage from external HDDs. Any tips on where the problem lies ? I need to get it back running smoothly and in full speed ASAP! Thanks!

I did a search to see if others were having this problem and found, to my relief, that they were.  It's a relief because I thought it was my Surface Book, which seems to have issues running Pr, so I'm relieved to know that others are having this problem as well and that the suggested solutions have not worked.One member suggested that this was a system problem, but I find that hard to accept since so may Pr users have experienced the problem. I wonder if there has been any attempt to get Adobe to address this issue?

I realise there are a few other posts like this, so glad I am not the only one. I just spent around £2000 on a new rig, to replace my 4-year old mac book pro (and move to PC). This is mostly for editing and compositing, using Adobe CC products.I am really shocked to find that in After Effects, the time it takes to load a single frame (when I make a small change or apply a new effect) or perform a RAM preview, is at times even longer than it was on my Macbook, which had a much lower spec, and less memory! I have updated drivers, BIOS, overclocked the i7 to 5 Ghz, etc. I'm really out of ideas.My only thought is, that I need more memory. This would mean swapping out the mobo so I could move up to 64GB. My other concern is that the CPU is just not performing as it should be - but then when I researched this, heavily, many people suggested this CPU specifically for Adobe products.I tested the CPU with Cinebench and the score was a bit lower than those of others with similar, or lesser spec

We are planning to buy an Apple 27" iMac Pro with Retina 5K Display (Late 2017), but are unsure whether to buy it with an AMD Radeon Pro Vega 56 or an AMD Radeon Pro Vega 64 graphic card. What is the best computer on the market right now to use Adobe products on?  Especially Photoshop?

So ive notice when you go export from the new updated Adobe PPCC2018 there is an option for Hardware and Software Acceleration. I know Adobe has always used CUDA and OpenCL to help with colors but this seems to have really improved exporting. I am exporting to H264 vbr1pass since none of the others let me select hardware Couple QUestions:Why does it say my hardware is supported in VBR 1 pass, but not CBR or VBR 2 pass? Quadro M3000M When you do the queued export and AME opens up, it looks like you have the old options for Hardware OpenCL and CUDA is this the same as the non queued export?Watching Task Manager it seems like the GPU get used a good bit more when doing the non queue and directly exporting from Adobe Premiere vs Queuing it up in AME? Am i just making this up? Ive never seen the gpu hit over 50% in AME and it hits 80-90% easily when doing Premiere Pro direct export.I am going to do some timed testing, but i cant find the export log for non queued exports, just the queued on

Get last premiere and my multi cam (with proxies 720p mp4 ingest settings) is very very slow. I checked debug monitor, and all decoding done by CPU. My cuda 1070 is not works at all! Premiere really drags with even just Lumetri Color applied to GH4 H264 footage. Because I will not be with this system much longer I don't want to put much more cash into it, but I am considering buying a GTX 1050 Ti for $140 and trying it in my tower now that Nvidia has Mac drivers out for their 10 series cards. I would keep my Radeon 5770 for whenever I need a boot screen.Is this a terrible idea or the best idea in the entire universe? Any power requirements I'm not considering? Better bang for the buck? I have a question about what tech specs most benefit Premiere and Media Encoder.  Most of my exports are simple exports without a lot of elements, but I am converting from one format to another.  If I build out a new computer for the job, assuming that I have great disk speeds, what are the specs on the computer that will have the most impact on my render?  Is CPU speed more important, or are the number of cores more important?  How many cores is too many?  When does more RAM not add any benefit?  How important to a render is GPU, and can I use a high end gaming GPU, or do I need a workstation GPU for this sort of thing?A lot of what I'm trying to find is what makes a dream machine, and what is just wasted money on specs that don't matter?Thank you SO much for your help!  This will go a long way into how we build all of our edit stations going forward.[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from CS6 & earli

Hello,I'm looking for laptop recommendations that will run the Adobe Creative Cloud applications well. I am in discussions with the IT team at my company who are looking into getting me a new laptop due to the fact the one I am currently using just isn't powerful enough to run the applications well. I mainly use InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, my company used to outsource all of their graphic design before I joined so they are struggling to know which machine will be best for me to use (my previous company built me a powerful desktop - but I need a laptop now).I am aware what the minimum requirements are for running the applications but I'm really looking for something more powerful that won't keep freezing and crashing and not just the bare minimum.Any recommendations would be massively appreciated so I can show my IT team and help guide them into what's best for me to have to be able to do my job properly.Thanks!

Oh Premiere... or is it my new PC?I just purchased this beast (see specs below) hoping that it would crush through playback/editing multiple streams of 4k and 6k video footage. Unfortunately it can't manage the native footage even at 1/8 resolution. We have been using the new iMacPro which can manage this task (albeit not full res) just fine.
