So I'm halfway through completing my HP z600 workstation and I wanted to know your thoughts on the best cpu out of the following for video editing and a little after effectsDual Xeon X5675 (12 cores total) at 3.06ghzOrDual Xeon X5672 (8 cores total) at 3.2ghz)These are the two fastest CPUs my system and budget can take.

I am going crazy. I’m a professional filmmaker, producing content for YouTube and broadcast TV. I had continual problems with the most specced out MacBook Pro money can buy taking hours to render or export or simply crashing altogether. I have tried editing from external hard drives and also from projects just saved on the Desktop.It had AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB graphics card 16GB ram 1TB flash storage 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 processor. A month ago it died altogether- this is the third MacBook Pro in three years that just died completel. I have tried proxy editing but this doesn’t work when dealing with slow motion footage shot in 96fps - which a lot of my work is. I have some 4K drone footage but even projects without this footage gave me massive render delays or crashing.I decided to switch to HP, having been advised that Adobe just isn’t compatible with Macs. Installed premiere pro CC 2018, fresh windows 10 and all driver updates, everything worked flawless and one day playback went to a complete stutter.I edit with 2 monitors, the second one is fullscreen and i need full quality, 1/2 just won't work for me, it's pixelated.System :amd 1800x, rx480 8gb, 16gb and SSD's for scratch media files.....all that.THE STRANGE THING IS, IF I ENABLE HIGH QUALITY PLAYBACK I GET 30-40 DROPPED FRAMES, IF I SET FULL QUALITY I GET 300-400 DROPPED FRAMES.Footage has minor lumetri corrections added, opencl works and is enabled.In resolve and sony vegas drone files plays perfectly.What happened that i suddenly lost the performance ? windows updates ? graphic driver is the same  so ?

Okay, so it appears as if my upgrade to CC2018 is (as usual) turning into a debacle. Step One, upgraded from CC2017 to CC 2018 on my Windows 7 machine with a Nvidia Quadro K4200 video card. Discovered that the MTS video files that I recorded on my Sony video camera no longer had audio within Premiere. Discovered via the forums that Adobe CC2018 no longer supported Dolby decodes in Windows 7 (or something along those lines). I also had issues with auto-relinking files inside of Premiere that worked fine in CC2017."Relink others automatically" not working. Discovered that I would need to upgrade to Windows 10 to solve this issue. Upon successfully doing a clean install of Windows 10, including installing the newest Nvidia drivers for my Quadro K4200, and installing Adobe CC2018, I opened an existing project, and I got this error related to my "NVIDIA OpenGL Driver". I'm really struggling with this issue and have been for months, and no amount of upgrades to my system seem to attack the root issue, which is that I get very stuttery playback, even from SSD (both data and boot drives; data drive is on USB 3.1 bus) after a few seconds, every time I hit play in a timeline, if I am using 2K or 4K DPX files, and also 4K ProRes files. Indeed, the problem has periodically manifested on 2K ProRes, as well.The system is a tricked-out 12-core 2010 Mac Pro:2 x 3.33 Ghz64 GB 1333 MHz RAM500 GB SSD boot driveNVIDIA GTX 680 GPUThere has been no appreciable difference when using a different/older NVIDIA GPU (since sold off).I have tried every configuration of settings adjustment I could think of in terms of changing caches and buffer size, playback resolution, all of it. Hi, I've searched around the web for a while and can't seem to find anything specific and was wondering if anyone on here could help me.I'm looking for a laptop that is capable of running After Effects (no crazy stuff just simple special editing), as well as premiere and Photoshop, (although i assume if it can run After Effects it can run the other two.)The closest thing I could find online to something that might work was the Dell Inspiron 15-inch 7000, but i've read some reviews saying it's not good. I'd also like to be able to run certain games like Borderlands 2, (though again I assume if it can run AE, it can run most games.)I'm not really too concerned with battery life, as it will be plugged into a source most of the time. but I would like a 15 inch screen.I'm hoping to stay within the, less than 1000$ price range, but I mainly just want some help to find a laptop that can run AE. I am looking to purchase a computer for editing video in Premiere Pro and After Effects, and am looking for advice on whether more processor speed or extra processor cores would be more valuable. It's been a long time since I posted.I purchased a new Dell U2415 monitor to replace the primary Dell U2315H monitor. The U2415 is factory calibrated. I still have a U2315 as a secondary monitor. Running a NVIDIA 950 video card.When I had the matched pair of U2315H monitors I calibrated them with my DataColor Spyder5Pro (55P100).I have some questions. 1. Should I install the drivers for the U2415? Can I have different monitor drivers for different monitors? Any tricks I should know doing that? 2. Does the fact I calibrated my previous monitor have any calibration impact on the new monitor? Does the video card play a role in that? If so what should I do to maintain the factory calibration? $3300.00  ... That's what I'm budgeting. Warning:I know any post of Mac vs. PC can spark a lively debate and I sense much of this forum's base are PC users but hopefully I'll get some honest and sound advice/purchase options.Purpose: I'm a current Mac user not wanting really to go back to PC but I'm about to make a purchase so I wanna be open to the idea if it's gonna make life better for me while editing. As crazy/stupid as it sounds...my fear of returning to the PC world is mostly because of my memory of the years of having to deal with the need for Virus Protection on a PC. I have bad memories from having to renew/pay for that every year and it slowing things down and ultimately my last PC was infected and crashed. But my editing is what I do 6 days a week on this computer for work. I used to be a FCP user so Macs made sense but now I'm all in on Premiere Pro CC so maybe a PC would be best...or maybe I should just stay with Mac. Who knows?! Bottom line: I use Premiere, Audition

Hello, I'm new to editing 4k video footage. I use Premiere Pro CS6 and eventually will switch over to the CC version. Based on my setup do I just need to upgrade my graphics card to something like the GTX-1060 with 6Gig? Or a different card? Hi guys! I have Adobe Premiere. When i apply a video effect Lens Distorsion the render process during 5/6 Hours,and premiere not use 100% CPU and 600mb of RAM. If I render the clip with other effect it use 100% cpu and 1500mb of ram and it during 5/10 minutes. Setting render: 1080p;59.94fps;8000kbs bitrate. My pc specs: i5 7600,gtx 1050ti 4gb,8 gb ram ddr4. I have a smokin' desktop at home for Premiere Pro CC, and don't need something as powerful for mobile use, just something that won't give me headaches.I'm on a limited budget, so I'd appreciate your quick advice. Hello.I came across an interesting offer. I can get a desktop computer with 2 x 8 cores Xeon E5-2670 CPUS, NVIDIA Quadro K5000, 48 gigs of ram, 250 SSD, 750 Hard drive for 1300 euro. It's second-hand. I use mainly Element 3D, Trapcode's Plug-Ins (Particular,Shine ...) in After Effects. Also, I use Cinema 4D, Illustrator, Photoshop. I need a machine that can render very heavy projects inside of After Effects. I've never used Xeon and Quadro so I'm not sure. I've seen people complaining because of the Quadro k5000 that it's not what they have expected. The GPU is very important for me. When I currently render I've set AE to use the GPU (GTX 950M) and when I look at my task manager the GPU is being used at 100% while the CPU is at 10%-30%. I've seen people saying that the GPU is not important for the render but the CPU is what should be looked at. Because of my experience I don't think so.
