I created a contract for a client. The client wants to fill out their internal office info and lock it, then send the pdf to their customer to fill out fields without the ability to editing the internal office fields. I cannot find out how to do this.
Hi, Please could someone help with this. I have to open multiple pdfs at once (often 4) and my Acrobat keeps crashing. I am running Windows 11 Pro. The program suddenly freezes, and often just before this black squares appear on the screen.I have tried various fixes - checked for updates - none avail. - ran 'repair installation' - (this seems to bomb out after a few seconds) - turned Protected View/ mode off Nothing helps. I am going crazy having to constantly restart and need to get my work done. Please help!Jenny
I'm using the latest version of Acrobat Reader (23.003.20244) and a document in one tab prints in reverse while another in a different tab prints as expected with no change to printer settings. It may be coincidence, but the documents that case trouble are PDF's from HelloFax, now part of Dropbox, so I'm suspecting there is some attribute of the document that causes the problem.
[Question moved to the Acrobat Reader section by Moderator] Ich versuche, den Acrobat Reader zu installieren, aber es heißt jedes Mal, dass die Installation fehlgeschlagen ist, weil bereits eine neuere Version installiert ist. Dem ist aber nicht so. Ich hab keine Idee, woran das liegen könnte. Das ist ein neuer, leistungsfähiger, fast unbenutzter Laptop.
I am able to select layers as usual in Adobe Reader, but when I print those pages all the layers pring, not just the ones I selected. Is there a way to go back to the previous version in a Windows 11 machine?
I have tried numeous searches to find this, and have been unable to locate an answer. If I want to create a form that has (for example) mail labels...how can I do that?NameAddressCity, State zipName AddressCity, State zip...At the end of the page, I want user to be able to add another page to add even more names and addresses.I know I can name themName1Address1City1, State1 zip1Name2Address2City2, State2 zip2...Even doing that...how do I allow user to add a duplicate of that page to start a new list? This is a blamk form that I would provide for public use (not internal) that is dowloaded from a web site or sent via email.
Not sure if this is a wide spread problem, but as part of our business, we print PDF files with layers. Sometimes all layers are printed, and sometimes only certain layers are printed. We always select "Save ink/toner" when printing to try to minimize the amount of toner used per print job which has always worked well. However, in release 2023.003.20269 (64-bit) of Acrobat Reader (Canada), when ever we select the "Save ink/toner" check box, it print all layers regardless of how many layers are visible. We have tested this on muliple printers (plotters, laser, and inkjet printers) and multiple operating systems (Windows 10 and 11) and the behaviour is the same in all cases. Hopefully this can be addressed in a future release but wanted to bring it to someones attention! Thanks! FYI...we used the following link to download the app:Adobe Acrobat Reader (Canada)
Hello,Up until we upgraded to the latest Adobe Reader DC, I was able to sign documents with a certificate. Since the update, no matter what I have tried the "Sign" button remains greyed out and can no longer be used.I have tried uninstalling, deleting all Adobe program and AppData folders, re-installing, deleting certificates and signatures, and recreating a new certificate. It sill will not allow me to sign - I have verified I am using the correct password for the certificate that was created. I have tried it with and without the "Lock document after signing" options. I have tried the Review option, but it says there are no issues.
Hi there, I just have a few questions when it comes to the pre-flight tool of Adobe Acrobat. If anyone can answer them It would be appreciated. 1.Is pre-flight installed or in cloud?2.Is pre-flight able to work on files installed on our server / SharePoint, rather than on our desktop?3.If multiple members of the team have a subscription, are we able to share a library of checks?4. Can it e integrated within an application to check documents when they are generated, or is it for manually running checks?
I created an ebook with both internal and external links. The internal links continue to work fine but the external links are my problem. They work fine on my work computer and my phone but don't work on my personal computer or my mom's computer. All computers are windows. When I have it open on my work computer it's through Adobe Acrobat DC and that seems to work. I'm not sure what it opened with on my phone, just whatever pre-installed software it came with, but the links worked. But on my personal computer I used Adobe Reader and the links don't work. I cannot figure out why they don't work on my personal computer. This will be an item I distribute and need to make sure the links work on all platforms. I've tried all the things I could find from a google search and nothing has worked. Any ideas on how to fix it? I'm tearing my hair out.
It's been a while working with Adobe. I had a stroke.I don't know if I need Reader or Acrobat.Sometimes I have to download a PDF file/document and check boxes and fill in spaces with information, and sign.Is there a free version that will let me do those tasks? I don't do this daily , but its time consuming to download, print, write on the form and scan and email. It's there's any advice or suggestions to help me without spending a whole lot of money, I would greatly appreciate the help.Thank you in advance
I'm investigating making more accessible PDFs. However, I don't seem to have a Tags option or panel in my Adobe Acrobat DC. As described on the Adobe website, it's meant to be enabled at View > Show/Hide > Navigation Panes > Tags:https://www.adobe.com/accessibility/products/acrobat/pdf-repair-add-tags.htmlI have Bookmarks, Attachments, etc, but don't have Tags (see screenshot below). Have tried repairing the install. I can't find any similar issue online so not sure what I can do? Any ideas?
Using Acrobat Reader, I filled in my answers to several questions. Once done, I tabbed to the net dialog box, filled in my answer to the next question. The box was white with black letters. But when I tabbed to the next question, the previous box turned blue again. On and on it went, so that every box was text in a blue-hued box. I printed out the document and everything text box printed perfectly. But then I e-mailed the completed form to myself, and the document when opened was completely blank. I have tried to re-enter text in some of the boxes, but eventually they all turn blue again. How can I remove the blue background from the text boxes?

When attempting to Update Adobe Reader DC, Error 1648, if I follow the recommended resolutions they do not solve, the MSI installer/uninstaller is working just fine, no issues, can add/remove any other programs at this time with NO error messages i.e. No Valid Sequence Could Be Found For the Set of Patches message that appears when attempting to Uninstall Adobe Reader DC, same as Repair outcome. If I manually download the installer, it halts with a newer version exists, thus stopping the install/overwrite process. Lastly, all solutions listed for Error 1648 from Microsoft as noted above, to the BROKEN URL that does NOT resolve to acquire an Adobe Cleaner, hell I would think that would be the solution, and lastly impossible to install a newer version all negated given the existing version is install and still working just fine, just cannot update it.I welcome any suggestions, ideally I do not want to manually scrub Adobe objects in File Explorer and Registry and make this into a project
We're running Adobe Reader 19.012.20040 in a Citrix environment and experiencing issues with the servers running out of physical memory, bringing the server to a crawl. These servers have 96GB of RAM each and normal usage is around 20GB. Hoping that someone has experienced this something similar. When people start reporting getting out of memory errors and slowness, we open Task Manager and review the process with highest handle count. Everytime this occurs, it's a single AcroRd32.exe process with over 45,0000 handles open. Task manager also shows over 90GB of RAM in use, but none of the processess show high memory usage, only the high handle count of AcroRd32.exe. As soon as that Adobe Reader process is killed, memory usage drops from >90GB to <20GB within several seconds. We checked the PDF the user was working on and made sure protected mode is disabled in preferences. It's happening with different users, PDF files, and different Citrix servers. Anyone have rec
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on my mac is completely frozen. It won't let me use any of the toolbar options.IT WONT EVEN LET ME SHUT DOWN OR RESTART MY COMPUTER!!!
When attempting to use acrobat reader in a client software, whenever I attempt to open a PDF on the client software the error message: 'Create OCX (AcroPDF.PDF) failed at point 9: 80004005 (Unspecified error)', occurs and then the client software crashes, not sure if anyone has seen something like this before but any input or fixes would be much appreciated.
I am using the free Adobe 2023.003-20244 on Windows 10. It presents the the following: (1) The docment at the centre(2) There is a left pane for "All tools", "Edit", "Convert", and "Sign"(3) There is a right pane for Bookmarks. I mostly don't use the panes, so I use the GUI to close them.I routinely open multiple files in succession, however, so I end up mousing around to close both panes for each and every document. It turns a simple task of inspecting many documents into an error-prone tedium. Is there a hot key that I can use to close the two panes? Additionally, is it possible to open PDF documents with the panes closed by default?
Hello Adobe, I bought your PDF export programme over a year ago, it's never been accessible to me (I need it to be simple ie. I buy = it's usable without going through lots of processes). It is coming up for renewal 12th Sept, I also can't find how to cancel the subscripion. Please can you look into this for me and sort out one way or the other. Thank you.
Have tried multiple times to install Acrobat DC. it seems to complete, but will not open. Some of the time the Chrome extension works. Have tried the cleaner, but not to sure what cleaner to uses. Have Win7 on a PC and Acrobat just stopped working awhile ago, and have tried to download DC with no success.Should I delete all the references to Adobe and Arcobat in the registers? Am at my wits end. HELP!!!!!
Hi, We have been receiving this error and from researching, there seems to be quite a few posts about it but not much of a fix although this is an issue with Adobe so I'm hoping someone can help. We recieve this error when trying to open some PDF's for example, when opening a PDF from a USB or one downloaded from OneDrive (A full copy downloaded, not a sync'd version) If we try to open these same files with a different PDF reader, it works without issue. In the case of the USB, if we move the files to the PC/Laptop then it works so I'm assuming this is some sort of security option within Adobe to not open files from unknown sources maybe? Either way, the files are not corrupt and are definitely PDF's as they work in other readers. Is there any advice or fix for this?
I am trying to make a custom stamp but when I select the .jpg or .tif file the viewer shows nothing. I can't select OK because it is grayed out. Please Help.
Hello!I have a simple document text.docx created in the Word 2019, with two fonts - Cambria and Cambria Bold. I've saved it into PDF (File->Save As .pdf): text.pdf.When I open it in the Adobe Reader (currently, I'm using the latest version 2023.003.20244), and then click View->Tools->Comments->Open I get the error:Sometimes (3 attempts from 10) this error isn't shown.Note: to see the error again, you need to close the PDF and exit from the Adobe Reader. Why does this error occur? Adobe Acrobat Preflight checking doesn't find any issues with fonts:
I recently updated to Windows 11 and can no longer "combine files" in file explorer as I could in Windows 11. While checking for updates to see if that resolved the problem, I received Error 111100 - "An error occurred. Please check for updates again later." There is no recent information on what this error is or how to resolve it. Please help.
