Adobe Acrobat Reader has become exhausting and frustrating to use.What was once a simple PDF reader now feels like a bloated platform full of forced features, popups, banners, side panels, auto-opening windows, and promotional messages. Even when I only want to open and read a PDF, I am constantly interrupted.This is not productivity. This is distraction.There are far too many unnecessary settings and integrations that normal users never asked for. The interface is cluttered, confusing, and overloaded. Basic tasks require dismissing multiple UI elements before you can even focus on the document.The software feels intrusive. It pushes upgrades, cloud services, accounts, AI features, and other extras that have nothing to do with reading a PDF.For users who simply need a fast, quiet PDF reader, this experience is unacceptable.Right now Acrobat Reader feels closer to adware than professional software.Many people do NOT want an ecosystem. I e signed a very important document. I saved the document then went to upload it and it gave me an error.

The adobe upgrade will not install. The message "Upgrade status - installing. Thanks for your patience."Any suggestsions on how to fix?

I want to prevent Adobe from automatically opening PDF files I download from Microsoft Edge.  The suggested solution is to use CTRL+K to open Preferences and then uncheck the box titled  “Always open PDFs downloaded from the web”.  However, the screenshot below shows that this option does not exist for me at all.  Please help. 

In our enterprise, few users (60+) are facing an issue while launching  the shortcut Adobe acrobat reader DC, "Invalid Plugin detected. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC will quit".   As mentioned in the Adobe technical forum, downloaded the latest patches from vendor site and installed the same. issue was still persist.   later we had used the Adobe utility removal to cleanup the corrupted installation files. Rebooted. Installed the latest version. issue was still persist.   Finally just renamed the plugin folder from this location, C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins and launched the shortcut. it is working as expected.   After successfull launch, changed the folder from plug_ins_rename to plug_ins. launched agian, no issue persist.   Could you please help me to understand why the exisitng plugin files (before deletion) were not working. how do we fix this for large number of users. is there any automated fix for wider dep

I saw this topic, I want to know if this is resolvedl have a drawing pdf that has thicker lines than the original in the CAD softwareI want to make print the pdf after I press cntrl+5How do I print drawing with thin lines? 

The “Make current properties default” option is missing from the comment properties pop-up, so I cannot change the colors of my comments, or my commenting name, and have the changes stick. See! No “Make current properties default” at the bottom! This happens regardless of whether I’m using new-look Reader or reverting to the old version. I’m in Windows 11 and using a 32-bit version because apparently that’s all that works with an ARM processor. I remember this happening once before (on my previous laptop), and I don’t remember what fixed it. (Perhaps related: I am not signed in, or at least it does not appear that I’m signed in, because when I do try to sign in, the browser sign-in works fine, but then the app freezes up and a I just get a repeated error ping if I click on anything, and I have to force-quit out. Is the option of saving different defaults somehow linked to account sign-in?Also: I don’t have Creative Cloud installed. I would prefer not to have to install it! But is that

I saved MS Word docs a Adobe PDF for many years without having any paid Adobe subscription.  15 months ago I took out an Acrobat Pro subscription, but recently (because of under-use) I switched over to Audition.  Now I can no longer use the Save as PDF function in Word (Desktop version 10).  It seems that removing my Pro privileges also removed a feature that had been available to me for previous years.  How can I get this functionality reinstated?

Hi everybody, I was surprised seeing that Adobe Reader DC is showing the "title" of a PDF in the top bar (above the menu). But actually, nobody is using this functionality when creating PDFs out of Word for instance. (Used Version: 2019.10.20069)How can I change it back in Adobe Reader DC to just see the "filename" of the currently opened document? Thanks, guys, for your thoughts and helpCheers, Chris

I recently had an update to Acrobat Reader through the automated update program.  Without my knowledge, permission, or warning, the update installed the Microsoft Bing Rewards extension into my Chrome browser.Why was this part of an automated update?If I wanted to use Bing search on my computer, I would use Edge instead of Chrome.  Personally, I have a real problem with this because this software is supposedly trustworthy and it pulled a stunt like this.  Remember folks, this is MY computer and I will have the final say of what runs and does not run on it.

As Acrobat continues to deteriorate in terms of ease of use and instead overwhelm us with AI suggestions that use resources and are not even helpful, I notice another of my often used features has gone.I use to use the stamp tool to stamp invoices as received, agreed and paid.  They would use the different colours that stamps can have, and put the relevant word inside, and the date. (dynamic)However now these stamps have disappeared, and I can see no way to get them back.Asking the auto-support just tells me I need to create images, which removes the whole idea of a dynamic tool… Anyone know where they’ve gone?Thanks

Good eveningI am using the trial version on a Mac and have done all the procedures through the token to put a digital signature. My problem is that most of the time it does not recognize my ID and shows me the following message:Adobe Acrobat could not find any new digital IDs. If your digital ID is on a hardware token, please make sure it is plugged in and the token interface is properly configured. Hi Everyone, I am currently Downloading PDF Files from my Gmail account to my Desktop.Up until today, I was able to Download these files no problem. Today however, everytime that a PDF Files completes downloading from Gmail to my Desktop, Adobe Acrobat Automatically Opens the file on my Computer. This is Driving me MAD! Is there any way to stop this from happening? I've attached a file that I got from a Reddit post - where other people were having this issue.It seems that in the past, that there was a check-box option in Acrobat Reader under Edit -> Preferences -> General  to turn off this annoying features. But this option is missing on my Acrobat Reader.

I use a new DELL laptop with WIN11, and after some dayes, adobe acrobat is opening only as admin and only if enhanced security/protected mode is offFirst, everything worked, but then, I do not know why, it does not react expept as a admin.With processMonitor, I could find no trace of the reader if I try to start it as a standard use,I tried all possible folder  and registry permission issues with ChatGPT, but nothing helped.Alos reinstalling even with the cleaner tool didn't change anything!

I want to leave “Enable Protected Mode at startup” checked.  But “Add Folder Path” will not cure the “Access Denied” message when trying to open up the PDF from that network location, ie. “\\server\xyz” Is the folder path privileged locations working for anybody?

I have activated Preview panel in Windows explorer but i cannot see PDF previews.I am using Adobe Acrobat DC.I have tried all the options i have foundin internet but it doesn´t work, files are not downloaded from internet and don´t have in properties any option to unblock previews.I have activated the option in preferences in Adobe to see the preview.The only option i have not tried is to stop using Adobe Acrobat to work.Does anybody know how to solve this problem so that previews are back to windows explorer?Thanks a lot.

Bom dia. Alguns pdf que eu abro com o Adobe fica com esses caracteres, tornando-o ilegível.Alguém sabe alguma solução? Obs.: não são todos os pdf que isso acontece, são apenas alguns. Obrigado.

Hi There Multiple of our employees are struggling with Adobe Acrobat Reader when printing. When they select the Print option, it takes up to 20, sometimes 30 seconds just for the Print Windows to appear. Then once I Print, it takes another 10 to 20 seconds to to send the job to the printer. All my other Apps can print just fine and in 1 to 2 seconds.  I have updated, uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Acrobat Reader and the Printer Drivers to latest versions, to no prevail,

When viewing a document (native page size of 17.00 x 11.00 in) at 100% zoom, the right edge of the page is hidden behind the tool bar and cannot be moved into view. This does not seem to occur at other zoom level. As the entire page should have the ability to be viewed at any zoom level, I assume this is a bug. I use Adobe Printer as my default PDF printer, but as soon as I print a document the Adobe Printer’s default paper size settings revert back to “letter” in stead of staying on A4 after it was saved.
