Acrobat Reader

Clicking on the adobe reader icon always makes me choose between every single pdf I have open rather than just opening the program to where I last was. Why can't it just be like firefox or other programs, who group by windows and not by tabs. If you have two windows open, each with five tabs, when you click on the firefox icon it brings up the two windows and you pick which one you want. If you have ten tabs on one firefox window when you click on the firefox icon it just opens that window straight away rather than frustratingly forcing you to choose which tab you want to open! Also I do not want to enable "do not group icons" in the taskbar windows settings because then all of the icons spread out and have text descriptions which is horrible. This is not a problem with windows but with adobe reader. If internet browswers can group by window and not by tab then adobe should be able to too.

I added several text boxes to a PDF using Fill & Sign. When I tried to select a text box to add more text, it deleted everything in the text box and there is no way to retrieve everything I just included in that box. This happens randomly with no option to undo.

Hi,Recently my Acrobat DC has updated to last version 2020.012.20041Some signed files I had , cant be opened with this version. After the update to the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC the program crashes after 15 seconds. This problem is occurring on multiple session host in our RDS farm.OS version:     Server 2012R2 latest patch levelProduct:          Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2019.008.20071 At first this problem only seemed to occur only with specific documents. After some testing on multiple machines the application crashes after about 15 second without opening any document. Hello, I just upgraded from adobe acrobat 2007 to 2020. When I try to convert to a pdf by printing, it doesn't prompt me to save as. Instead it acts like it's printing, but then nothing happens afterwards. I removed the printer and "re-installed' it with no luck.It's fine for Word and Excel because I can use the "Save as Adobe PDF", but with other programs it's an issue.

I just discovered Read Out Load feature from a friend but I cannot engage it work it keeps saying black page over and over. 

Something has happened to my meausuing tool and the arrows are enormous and I cannot see what I'm trying to measure.  Attached is a screenshot.   How can I change this back to the much smaller size?

So I am using Acrobat Pro 2018 and using the dark theme on both Acrobat and Windows, and noticed that the context menu and the top bar is still white. However, some people managed to turn everything dark as shown in the left side of the picture. Is it a version specific thing or what? I tried installing a trial version of the latest Acrobat and it seemed that the problem persists so I have no idea

I am using an HP and all of my PDF files have the same Adobe Icon, so I am unable to quickly glance and my desktop and distinguish between files by the image of what they are. On my Mac they will preview as the first page in the document. Am I able to have the same feature on HP? I have looked in Chrome, Adobe and Windows settings and can't seem to find it. 

I bought Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to use with windows 10 and Office 2019 pro.After I installed it, when I tried to use it I received a warning about an update in execution. After many time I received another warning informing "There is some installation problem. We will try again." and never ends.Any hint any help?

I have inserted a PDF file in MS Word file using the insert function  as an icom (the link was not used).  When I email this MS Word file to others,they cannot open the PDF document.

Our firm always with some docs handled by Nitro Pro. When people have ever added Chinese comments in the call out of Nitro Pro, it will display as garbled in Acrobat Reader. Hope this can be solved? Attached is a sample for troubleshooting. If you look at it carefully. What is shown on the page itself is not the same as that in the comment section. Obviously, the comment section is garbled. I would say Abode should do something. If it can display the text correctly in one place, it should be able to do it in another.

Hi. If I create a password protected pdf and then copy it to a samba server(linux). Can the feature of not copying the file still be used?  I need to do this so that i can share documents in a classroom for viewing but not copying.

Hasta hoy usaba Acrobat reader sin problema desde mi Mac. Hoy, al rellenar un formulario en pdf cuando lo descargaba para rellenar y posteriormente lo he rellenado, cuando escribía me salían puntos en lugar de letras, como cuando se rellena una contraseña. Cuando daba a guardar me aparecía el siguiente mensaje:"No se puede encontrar o crear la fuente 'SegoeUI'. Algunos caracteres podrían no mostrarse o imprimirse correctamente".Finalmente me lo tuvo que cumplimentar mi hermano, que tiene el mismo Mac que yo. El lo rellenó sin problemas y al adjuntármelo en whatsapp se veía bien pero al yo descargarlo me aparecían puntos en lugar de letras. ¿Alguien me podría ayudar? Hello Adobe team, I installed Acrobat Reader DC 2022.001.20117 version on my Windows 10.When I opened the attached pdf file(test.pdf) which generated by HP DSS application, The acrobat reader didn't open the file and show the message like Insufficient data for an image.JPG. But, other pdf reader programs such as Foxit and Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome open the file without any error. Even Acrobat Reader 2018.011.20035 also open the file without the error. So I guess the issue is caused by Acrobat Reader DC 2022.001.20117 version. Could you check this issue ?if this issue is the version, please let me know if you have a plan to fix it or not. All the best,Seungwan

I'm unable to download some files in Chrome from a link in my email from known sender. They will download in Edge which I don't use. The link was in a listserv and all members were able to download the files. I have Windows 10. This has never happened before. How do I fix this. The settings are correct. Sender is known to me.Thanks

Or Acrobat Reader n'apparaît ni dans la liste des applications, ni dans celles par défaut pour les PDF, ni sur le disque dur, ni sur le bureau... Pour info je suis sous Win10 64 bits. Auriez vous une piste ?

So I signed up for the Adobe free trial so that I could convert a document from pdf to word. However, each time I follow the directions and click 'Convert' on the pdf document, I keep getting sent to the page where it tells you to pay for the service. So I'm lost on what to do now. 

I was using adobe acrobat reader for years and recently i changed the laptop to windows 11. now when i move the curser on the pdf , the whole page blurrs. can't see  anything. Why is this?

I have uninstalled and re-installed multiple times.  Acrobat DC is my preferred PDF reader.  I have been using Microsoft Edge, but I have NOT made it my PDF reader.  After I install, it works, then I open and use Edge, and it doesn't work after that.  Any thoughts?

All of sudden yesterday when we changed the permissions for one of unsers on my MAC pro it would not open Adobe anymore. I tried everything and then I uninstalled adobe, Now I am trying to reinstall it and its not installing.  It starts to download Adobe but its stuck saying "Running Package Sripts."
