Acrobat Reader

I seem to be having an issue with one of the PC's in our environment. We have an application which uses the Internet Explorer Plug-in for Adobe Reader. Our PC is on Windows 10, Feature 2004. (64-bit if that matters). Our current version of Adobe Reader is 20.013.20074 which should have the fix for crashing when opening multiple PDF's with the plug-in, but this PC does NOT want to cooperate. We have tried using the cleanup tool from Adobe Labs, and then reinstalling once the computer reboots. We can open one PDF just fine - but anything after that and it shuts the application down. I did however notice that the plug-in version type listed in Internet Explorer is version 20.12.20041We have "Protected Mode at startup" disabled. When enabling, it seems it works just fine... no crashing and we can open as many PDF's within this app without a single crash. Issue is - we cannot print. The PDF Shell component in Acrobat Reader DC and Acrobat DC allows you to see the thumbnails of PDF documents in Windows explorer, on both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows. Hallo Zusammen,  leider bin ich bei der Suche im Forum nicht fündig geworden. Vielleicht könne Ihr mir ja helfen. Habe ein PDF Dokument mit diversen Formularfeldern und auch Schaltflächen. soweit so gut. Aber aus diesem Dokument muss ich immer wieder nur bestimmte seiten heraus speichern. kann ich das über eine Schaltfläche machen, dass die erste die seiten 1-5 und die zweite die Seiten 6-10 usw. auf einen Druck speichert? am allerschönsten wöre dann auch die Formularfelder nicht mehr verändert werden können=) Hoffentlich ist es verständlich und jemand kann mir helfenVielen Dank im Voraus 😃 

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and it will not connect to my printer, HP Envy 5530.  I can print from other apps, just not this one.  Any idea how to fix this?

Trying to opena pdf file. Using adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Error message comes up. "There was an error in opening this document. The file cannot be accessed by the system." I am able open the same document on other computers ( pdf is in Dropbox) using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. There is no problem using any other computer.

Hello. My name is Ahmed. I have PDF books one of them has a problem since a few days ago, I can not write notes, in addition when I put a color on words and click right-click on the word the file closes suddenly.I have another book which was work normally but now I can not write anything on the pages when I use sign tool. Before that I could do that.

I'm marking up the same files using Annotations in various Adobe products: (1) Adobe Reader 11.0.19, (2) Adobe Acrobat Pro X, and (3) Acrobat Pro DC. Clients are working in Adobe Pro on Macs, and although I have enlarged the font size in Preferences from 10 to 20 to 80 pt Lucida Grande, what they see is minuscule. They can change font size at their end, but this discrepancy in size occurs only on my files. Would the font choice be the problem? What do you recommend? Fingers crossed that you have a solution!

How do I find out when a PDF doc was originally created there is nothing under File/Properties

Help! I have a bar at the top of the screen that tells me my document was certified. I don't care. I want it to go away. How can I make that happen? It's driving me nuts. Picture attached. I use a Mac. Also, is there a way to make the toolbar on the right go away? You know, the one full of tools that I don't have access to.... also very annoying, although less so than the stupid notification at the top of the screen. Thanks!! 

After updating my MacBook Pro to BigSUR (maybe), I can only highlight one line at a time. I enable highlighting by clicking the marker in the toolbar, but after using it to highlight one line of text, it automatically disables, so I have to click it again for the next line... Very annoying and I've never had this problem before. Usually, I can just keep highlighting untill I press esc or click the highlighter again to disable it, but now it just disables every time. I really hope someone can help me fix this. Thanks in advance.

I have a question. Before, it used to appear a box of fast instruments when selecting a text. For example, if I selected a paragraph, there would appear a box of fast instruments from there I could light the text, underline it, etc. Now, if I select a text with left-click, nothing appears. How could I possible remediate this problem ?

Hello,hope you can help me with the following issue. We are signing our interal documents via certificates with the function "Tools / Certificates / Digitally sign" in Adobe Reader/Acrobat.Every user has its own certificate and every user has configured the Appearance like that: on the left side there is an imported graphic with the handwritten sign and on the right side the Name and Date will be shown.This works good on almost every document but sometimes we get a really strange behavior. That means that on some documents the Name and Date is not readable because it is compressed on the left side. The letters are on top of each other:I.m.o. it does not matter how the PDF files has been created. Some are created out of MS Word some are from SAP system. We have also tried different text directions. Does anyone know this behavior?If you need more information please let me know. thanks and best regards,Christian

I want to download an older version of acrobat reader. The version DC really sucks. Tried to online chat but it was either an ai or a very stupid one. I told him 10 times I dont want dc and he kept asking me the same og sending the same link - alas. I just want the old version. DC  - I cant figure is out. Bad layout, cant find stuff or set it to my likes. Woul appreciate help. I need to create a pdf which cannot be text-copied and the options is not there with the DC version.

Hello I hava a problem on my device to use the Perview Pane funcionlaity. I am using windows 10 1909 [Version 10.0.18363.1198]. I am using Adobe Acroba Reader DC version 2020.013.20074. I am not able to check PDF in outlook and on the file explorer only for the PDF files. For others format it is working. The "Enable DPF thumbnal previews in Windows Explorer" is checked. What should I do next to get this funcionallity back?

FILL AND SIGN BAR ON RIGHT NOT SHOWING WHEN I DOWNLOAD PDF DOCUMENT FROM MY EMAILI was always able to open my PDF documents from my email on chrome with the Fill and sign icon on the right. I did not have to save them on the computer first. Suddenly the documents do not show the fill and sign bar on the right. Not sure what happened. i did have to quit chrome and reopen chrome. Not sure if that caused this change. I would appreciate help so i can see the bar with fill ans sign on the right when i open a PDF document from my email. I am using the Macbook pro with Big Sur OS.

Whenever I try to open acrobat reader DC it always opens ans closes immediately which is very terrific and is a big headache. Please help me with it.

How can I highlight a locked pdf document?

Hi everyone, I am having issues with Adobe Reader as it does not recognize my font, which is Prime (light and regular) (https://www.fontfabric.com/fonts/prime/). I use the font on a Word document and then save as PDF, but Adobe Reader does not allow me to select/ copy the text. I tried the ctrl+D > fonts and nothing appears on my document (see image attached to this message).I also tried the Edit>Preferences>Page Display>Select "Use Local Fonts">Click OK>Close the PDF and Adobe Reader. And it did not work either.... Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance!   

I am seeing that other people are having this issue but dont ever see a solution. I cannot print mixed (letter/legal) pdf's. Apple and Brother and HP are all telling me after hours on the phone that it is an Adobe issue. I print large files and have Big Sur. Does anyone have a fix? I do only have the free Adobe. If purchasing a plan is what I need to do, I will, just dont know what plan. Which plan is compatible with my MacBook Pro and my dual drawer Brother printer? (Have an dual drawer HP as well but was told that Brothers work better with Macs. Not finding that the case so now have 2 nice printers)Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I make a PDF with dynamic fields and send it to a customer, can he lock the PDF with Reader after he has added the texts and logos in the dynamic fields? 

Hi I'd like to find where adobe saves my signature. I'd like to use it elsewhere but can't find it anywhere. Ive read there is a signature hereC:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\Security\  But nothing is in this location (I understand this may be a different kind of signature though.) ThanksGary

I have loaded a 400 page document that is 18 MB into the Reader Software. The pages display very slowly and then stop after about page 8.  The search command also does not work within the document. I have tried loading another, smaller document into the software and it works fine.  I tried the troubleshooting offered another user herein with a similar problem such as toggling the settings for large documents and quick searches and it had no effect. I would appreciate any help that could be provided. Sincerely,      Phil Dolliff
