Hi,We're using Acrobet Reader 2017 with W10 and SSO solution based on Smart Card.When the user affixes his company certificate during the signing process on the document, I want the user to re-authenticate with the smart card password. How can I set up this functionality ?

I am trying to disable Adobe Reader DC Internet Explorer plugin on about 100 computers. I need Adobe Reader to run inderpendantly. I can do this with other apps via Group Policy but not with Adobe Reader.If I disable the ActiveX pluging manally like so (as per Acrobat Help | Display PDF in browser | Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader DC😞...PDF documents still open from within the browser. I can see Reader is running within Internet Explorer:How can I disable the plugin?Version details:I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit but I am having the same problem on other Windows 7 SP1 32-bit PCs.Adobe Reader version 2015.007.20033Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.17842

It seems it is dependent on Visual C++ Redistributable 2015, which is not on my computer.  The latest one I have is 2012.      In my day, program installation packages were responsible for bringing along everything it needed to the party.  Guess that's not the case anymore, or at least for Adobe. I get an error that my PC is missing api-ms-win-crt-string-i1-1-0.dll, which I learned is in VC++ 2015.   Yes, I know its 2021 now but so what?    I really don't want to de-stabilize my old but trusty PC just for a PDF viewer.  You know the domino effect...a single VC++ dll installation can cause all kinds of unexpected surprises and side affects. My current Reader 9 (circa 2011) is not behaving quite right on some new PDF files so I thought it was time for an upgrade, but maybe not worth the trouble.  Boy, time flies!!!! Is it possible to get an older version of Reader DC that perhaps doesn't have this dependency?&nbsp

How do I make it go away forever? It's not helpful. It blocks text at the bottom of the page that I want to read, highlight, comment on, copy, etc.

My Acrobat writer crashes regularly. Especially when opening files that have been created by CAD programmes.  What can I do about this?

I am unable to change my name, which is shown when for example i leave a comment. It is in a grey field, which i can't change. I made an account, i was in the settings (identity), but i am not able to change this name. I uninstalled it, i rebooted, but nothing helped to solve the problem. Es ist nicht möglich den Anmeldenamen zu ändern, den Namen den man sieht, wenn ich zum Beispiel ein Kommentar einfüge.. Dieser bleibt in einem grauen Feld, dass ich nicht verändern kann. Ich habe einen Account gemacht. Ja ich war in den Einstellungen bei Identität, aber das Feld mit "Anmeldename" bleibt grau unterlegt und nicht veränderbar. Ich habe es schon deinstalliert, neugestartet, aber nichts hilft.

Does anyone know how to change the parameters on Adobe to have the slide bar on the left side of the screen alongside the options bar (comment, sign, etc....). Indeed, I am left-handed and like to use Adobe PDF reader in the tablet mode of my computer and take not with a pencil, unfortunately, I cannot move the bar to the left side and, it would facilitate the usability of the application if such change were possible. If it's not possible to do so, how could we recommend for future versions? Thank you for your help!

Hi.  I recently purchased an M1 MacBook Pro. Earlier the 'Comment' tab (in tools section) used to show all features like Text Underline, Strikethrough, Annotation, shape insertion etc. Recently when I opened the app all these things are not coming. I thought that this is an issue of the Apple Silicon SoC, (M1 Chipset), but my friend having the same MacBook (with M1 chip) is getting all the options. I am stuck. How to install the correct version with all features. I am attaching two screenshots, one of my Mac and one of my friend's Mac. I don't know if anyone else has this issue, I use a Windows 10 laptop and I have been trying to attach video files in my PDFs. When I browse through my files and attach the video, in the corner it would say 'click to activate' and when I do, it automatically force closes Acrobat DC every single time. For some reason I can't add video files? I have the latest version - version 21.0The video files I'm trying to add are .mp4

I've tried everything to get them back to being PDFs but no posted solutions work.  People can read them.  When I select "Output to PDF" in Word Perfect it works as always has, but what is saved is the Firefox HTML files.  This would not matter IF I had not needed to export back to WP because something got lost and all I had was the PDF.  1500 words or so too long to want to retype. I should be able to open the PDF in WP no problem and it will convert it back.  It can't because it doesn't recognize it!  And to forestall the inevitable question, I do not WANT to switch to MS Word.  Subject closed.  Moving on.  One suggestion was to go into Adobe Acrobat reader and make it the default PDF handler.  Worked for that person, not for me.  There are several options to output PDFs back to their original but only seem to be Microsoft options.  Any help would be appreciated!  Waiting on answer from Firefox community but have no hop

Yesterday, while using my pc, most of the programs (word, outlook, PP etc.,) as well as Adobe Reader simply disappeared.  I spoke with someone in support at Office 365 this morning and he was able to help me find Outlook and get it operational, but nothing else.  However he said the programs are still on my computer but "hidden".  I cant find any of them and all of my existing pdf's will not open.  I've looked all over the internet but did not find any solutions that work.Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Hello. We have some problem with Adobe Reader DC. When we try to open Electrical Passport in pdf format, we got an error :"The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program." Another types of pdf documents is working correctly. This problem is started after last update. Past version of Adobe Reader is working good. Please, help to fix this problem.

I installed the update for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and now I am having a bunch of issues. The pdf pages that I have opened are not really responsive. The banner at the top with the minimize and close program commands also unresponsive to clicking the commands and is really big and blocks the tabs at the top of the screen.  

Hello so i created and adobe index  hello.pbx with adobe acrobat dc 17. it works fine on the same machine that has the pro version installed. when i try to open it with adobe reader on the same machine or different machines i get an error.   i tried rebuilding it many time with same error. am i missing something? 

I received an email with an attached PDF on my iPhone. The PDF has a button on the page that plays a WAV file.When I open the email I can view the PDF on my iPhone. Acrobat Reader is installed on my iPhone. However, I'm not able to open the PDF in Acrobat. How can I open the PDF on my iPhone and be able to click the button to play the WAV file?

Somehow , I can not set Acrobat Reader DC as a default for my PDf files  in Windows 10.Even if I right click on a PDF file and select properties, it will not show Acrobat Reader DC as an option.   I do have the program installed and I tried to open it, but it will not open.  Please help

I received an email today and it is legitimate, I'm getting a new phone and was expecting a new email from them.it says it was sent to "Sadia Andrew" but when I tap on TO: it shows my email address. I tested to send an email from that email to myself and it shows my name in from and to correctly. Sadia is one of my friends but I'm really confused.  I read that sometimes 3rd party apps bypass your mail settings but I'm receiving....

I am unable to save directly to ShareFile. I can open files from ShareFile, save to desktop, and move the file to my ShareFile drive, but can't save to it in Acrobat Reader. I have tried re-installing Reader and reconnecting to Citrix File Sync.
