i have adobe reader v.2024.004.20220-64bit and use Chrome as browser . I recently downloaded a pdf file from a research website but when i opened it i found certain images/grpahs were missing. However if i view the same pdf file via chrome , these images ARE visible. These images are also displayed if i use a different pdf reader like PDF24. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe reader but i still see the same problem. The app itself also generated an error message i.e. but i think this is more an error with the app rather than the author. Can anyone shed any light on this very situation?
Witam.
Sorry to be saying this, but I turned 70 this year and am unhappy with where applications like Adobe seem to be going. I needed a new version for my Windows 10 system as Microsoft's Edge program fails to open some of my Adobe files. Downloaded the 'Adobe dc reader' and it does its job. But I was puzzled by the two applications that were bundled with it, apparently a scanner and a partially crippled McAfee virus scanner. I did not ask for these or see anything about them in the download offer on the Adobe site. To add insult to injury at boot the next morning the McAfee program installed a second on-line virus scanner on its own. I have since uninstalled both, but would rather not have to go through this when I am attempting just to download the Adobe Reader. I fear this behavior of infecting my computer with unsolicited software which McAfee then wants me to pay for and the resent Facebook abuse of user privacy fall into the general area of sof
What code can I use so I can have a dynamic stamp with my name /id, date but not the time?
Hi I have the issue that I can't open more than one PDF file anymore.I haven't changed anything in the settings neither did I install a newer adobe version on my computer. I tried to uninstall adobe reader dc and to reinstall it. Nothing changed. It's funny because last week everything worked as usually. Also I do not receive an error message. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
Self explainatory, previous versions of acrobat had a setting to open pdf's in a new window. This option has been moved as far as I can tell. Where is it, and how do I stop pdf's opening in the same window.
Z@xxx.tmp files are created in temp folder when print PDF using adobe reader. After these tmp files are created, it makes texts in a html corrupted when view in browser e.g. Chrome, Edge If manual delete Z@xxx.tmp files and re-open browser to view the html file, the display of text resumes normal. Any way to avoid the creation of Z@xxx.tmp files when print PDF? Or any known/planned adobe reader patch can auto delete the tmp files created after printing is done?
I have been using Acrobat Reader, every time I open a PDF a Adobe pop message appears asking me to upgrade or try Acrobat DC. When I close this pop up box Acrobat Reader closes and I am unable to read or save the PDF. I went to re-install the latest version but it appears I already have the latest version. Any suggestions as I am unable to read PDFs at all!!!
I'm using Adobe Reader on Windows 11 Not sure when the problem started - but probably was after upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 Anyway, I get the 'invalid plugin' each time I try and open a PDF. I've gone through the discussions, and there is a lot of talk about removing the 'Plug_ins' folder or removing apps like bable translation. However, the only folder I have in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader' is 'acrocef_1', and I don't use any of the apps suggested as being in conflict with adobe reader I have tried uninstalling adobe reader and re-installing, but this made no differenceAny other suggestions on how to remove the error message? Thanks
Has anyone else had a similar issue and found a solution?
Hello, I have the problem that when I sign a file using Wacom and export it as a PDF, the text in the document is not visible. Only the signature is displayed.According to my research, the issue lies with Adobe, as it seems unable to load the font. This error does not occur in Foxit, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc. Also have a post here, with some info https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/adobe-reader-pdf-stays-blank-after-singing-with-wacom/m-p/15187594#M498631
Hello everybody, since this morning, the AI assistant has not been displayed in my Reader. The summary feature is also missing. I have a paid version of the reader and everything has worked perfectly until today. What can I do? Am I doing something wrong?Thx and regards, Maren
Hello, when i try to edit a pdf and want to write numbers i get these kind of symbols instead: ٧٩٠٧٥٤٣ does anybody know how to fix it its only in acrobat
I use a PC with Windows 7, and I'm using Adobe Reader version 15. Yesterday I was prompted to install an Adobe Reader update, which I did. Today, when I tried to open and print a PDF file, I got a message that said: "AcroRd32.exe -- Application Error. The instruction at 0x518f525c referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program." I then tried to open other PDF files that I'd successfully opened as recently as last week, and I'm getting the same message for all of them, except that the instruction number (e.g., 0x518f525c) is different each time. After reading earlier posts on this forum, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Reader, but the same problem is still occurring. The version of Adobe Reader that is installed is 15.023.20053. I also tried disabling Protected Mode in Adobe Reader, but after I do that and try to reopen Adobe Reader, I get a message saying that the program has stopped running. Please help!

I am trying to use Adobe Reader to prepare my review of a scientific manuscript (PDF). I have made extensive comments using the commenting functions in Reader. But I have to upload these comments as text to the online journal site. After hours of looking through manuals and online I can find no way to export the comments other than as an *.fdf file which appears to be of no use. I can't upload the original PDF manuscript that contains the comments because the journal site's software doesn't seem to be able to handle them. If I try to export the file as a Microsoft Word file, it doesn't include the comments. Once again Adobe's excessively coercive approach to trying to force us all to only use Adobe products makes it completely useless. Unless there is a solution I'm missing, I will now have to duplicate hours of work to rebuild my review in some other product that allows me to get comments out in simple text form. Anyone know of a work around that won't requires additional hours of my
I used to be able to click on hyperlinks in Adobe Reader Acrobat DC and be taken to their location on the internet. I tried the Help and updated Adobe. That did not help. I also uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still no help. The only thing that changed was I uploaded InDesign. Since then, links in Adobe Acrobat Reader don't work. I have Windows 10.I can open the links fine when I view PDFs in an email. Once I open in Adobe, they no longer work. Really frustrating. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?
Hallo!

When trying to open Adobe Acrobat Reader, without admin credentials, the application has an error:"Attempt to call a method that has not been implemented" Then the application cannot open. Adobe Reader opens if run as admin.I've uninstalled the program completely using the Adobe removal tool and reinstalled several times. After the installs, the app updated, but would not open.
I did a trial of Adobe that allowed me to edit/convert PDFs, but cancelled before the trial period was up. Now when I try to open one of my PDFs, Adobe wants me to sign in and then asks me Start your 7 day free trial of Acrobat DC.Start your free trial or using your Adobe ID. I then have the option to Quit Adobe DC or Buy at Adobe.com or Start a Free Trial. When I click on "Quit," it closes my PDF. How do I stop this from happening so I can just view my PDFs?Thank you.
