Hi Adobe Community, I’m currently managing a website where some users have reported issues opening or downloading PDF files directly from the site. The files are hosted properly, but on certain browsers or devices, clicking the PDF link either does nothing or shows an error. I’ve tested different embed methods, iframe options, and direct download links, but still facing inconsistency. Could this be an issue with how the PDF is rendered or permissions on the server? Here’s an example page for reference: https://www.surahayaseen.com Any guidance on best practices for displaying or embedding PDFs that are fully compatible across browsers (especially mobile) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
as per the title i encounter this problem only on the desktop. if i copy the file into a folder the classic adobe icon returns. how is it explained and above all how is it solved? thanks

I've downloaded a PDF of an old magazine from the Internet Archive. Some of the pages are double page scans not scans of individual pages. I can't find a way to edit the pdf to split these double pages into individual pages using free tools on and offline. First world problem I know but I find it annoying. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

we are using adobe reader version 2025.001.20432 for our servers with RD Session role installed on server 2025.in this version, when I try to select any area in the pdf with the mouse, the page automatically turns to the right or left. do you have a solution for this problem?
Hi Everyone,We have an application that produces PDF reports of data, which are essentially just basic excel spreadsheets with a header section, then a table with column headers & ~10 columns. Our finance team receives these reports, and then copies each column to another external location as part of their workflow. The problem is, some of the individual cells in the table are blank/no value, and when they copy (using a mouse to manually select the data in whole columns at a time), then paste, these cells are ignored. So in a very basic example, a 2x3 Grid, with X's denoting populated cells:X, XX,X, X Copying the data from column 2 top down and pasting into excel should put an X in row 1, and 3, leaving row 2 blank. The issue is that the blank cell is being skipped and the data from row 3 windws up in row 2, which obviously throws off the destination sheet. Hence my question, is there a way to get Adobe to select the "empty" cells so the pasting function is a true representati
I am using MacBook Pro (updated) and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and standard inkjet printer at home.I've noticed that my printer keeps printing the first page double-sided with a blank page because it prints the first page firstly. Normally, page 1 and page 2 will be printed double-sided together, but my page 2 goes with page 3, and page 4 with page 5, and so on, leaving page 1 alone. I have left the "reverse pages" unselected. It happens only when I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC built-in print feature. How can I solve it?
Why are my paid tools like not getting installed even though I am trying to install it since last 4 days on my Mac?
When adding shapes by default the fill color was blank/none/transparent, but after I selected any color I can't unselect it to change the fill back to 'none'.What is the primary way of changing the fill color to 'none'?
For over a week now I've been having an issue open files from Recent. They show up, I select one, and the side tool bar doesn't have an "open" option as it used to. I open two or more, the "open" option appears, but doesn't work. I have to go to my computer's Finder, search for the files there, and open them again. I like the convenience of having recently opened files ready to go. But the search doesn't always work either, I'll type in something I KNOW I just opened, and it won't show up.I am not a paid member and have no intention of becoming one, I don't need all the functions. I just want a good PDF reader. But Adobe has been going downhill in that department for a long time.I am on a MacBook Air M1, 2020 with macOS Sequoia 15.3.2. It worked up until a week or so ago, now it doesn't. And don't tell me to try it on multiple devices, I don't have the time for that. This is the device I use so I expect it to work. Not too much to expect, IMO.

You product sucks and your support is worse. Pretending he can't hear me on the phone all of a sudden after a clown show of trying their POS AI and also their automated phone support. Bu-bye a$$hats.
Hi All,Have searched the forums regarding this one but there doesn't seem to be any answer to the questions (or at least an answer that works)In Adobe Arcrobat Reader DC, in 'Advanced Print Setup' there's an option under Colour Management 'Let Printer Determine Colours'Initially the box is unchecked but when you check the box there then doesn't seem to be any way what-so-ever to set it back to unchecked and store the setting. Yes, you can uncheck the box but when you come out of print and go back in again, it's checked once again. Have tried unchecking, then printing something, coming out of print and then going back in to print again and the option is checked again. It doesn't happen with any of the other options in Colour Management, just the 'Let Printer Determine Colours' option. Now, this would normally not be a problem; however, a work colleague has checked the box (trying to obtain better colour reproduction on one of our printers) and for some unknown reason his .pdf printouts a
Hi thereDoes anyone know how can the right side tool bar be hidden by default on Acrobat DC?Likewise, how can the page thumbnails show up everytime a PDF is opened? Many thanksGil
I've scoured countelss threads in this forum and cannot find a solution (even though plenty of thread have notated a "solution", none of which are... that ive found at least) I am the author of the document. I did not set a permissions password when I dispatched the document for esign. Why is there a permissions password if I did not set it? Is this a default setting within the new Adobe Esign? Where can I find the permissions password? I want to clarify again due to the lack of accurate answers in previous threads. I am the author of this document and I did not set a permissions password. Thank you, Larry
I’m troubleshooting an issue where Adobe Acrobat Reader freezes immediately upon opening locally stored PDF drawing files for one user. Interestingly, when I log in with my domain account on the same machine, the files open without any issues.Troubleshooting Steps Taken:Initial Steps:Rebooted the machine.Cleared Windows temporary files and Adobe Acrobat cache.Verified that Windows and Adobe Acrobat are up to date.Switched from the new view to Classic view in Adobe Acrobat.User-Specific Problem:I used my own domain account on the user’s machine to open the same files, and they opened without freezing. This suggests the issue is specific to the user's account or profile.Reinstallation:Following Adobe support's advice, I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader using the Adobe Cleaner tool.Rebooted the machine, reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader, and updated it to version 2024.003.20180.Despite all these steps, the issue persists for the affected user.Impacted Services:Adobe Acrobat Reader (freezin
last week, I started getting printing errors when attempting to print PDF's. I beleive it has something to do with my Distiller program, but not sure. This is the error message I am getting. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.
Hi,I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with Acrobat reader (32 bit) version 24.005.20320 for being very slow? It is a weird issue where if reader is closed and I open a pdf from my file explorer it opens fast, but if reader is opened already and I try to open another PDF from my file explorer it takes about 40 seconds sometimes minutes to open. Im not sure if this is a issue with the newest update or an issue in my settings? Please let me know if there is a fix for this
Greetings! It seems Adobe EUTL is at least about 2 months out of date if not more. Is there any information when it will be updated? As Adobe uses their own servers to cache it, this is causing issues to a lot of people now for us. RegardsMagnus
I have the full version of Acrobat Pro installed on my computer but I'd like to also have a copy of Acrobat Reader. I'm wanting to suggest some changes in a proofing process with a client and they would need to use Reader. I need to see how it functions before I suggest it. I've downloaded the installer (AcroRdrSCADC2400520400_MUI.dmg) but I get the attached error messages during the install process that appears to tell me that it won't install because I already have a better pdf reader. (pics attached) Thanks for any input.
I am trying to follow the steps that my colleague does when printing reports from Adobe Reader. When he zooms in on the print preview the top part of the statement does not move however when I try the same thing the top of the statement moves off the pages. His version of adobe reader is version 2024.005.20399, and my version is 2024.005.20414. That is the difference I can find since we both seem to have the same settings though out the rest of the print preview. Is there any setting I should look into to get the same effect, or will I need to get his version of adobe reader?
