   I am trying to use text recognition on oversized documents to recognize text so that I can hi-lite it. The documents are about 7.5 inches by 19 inches. I am using Acrobat 10 to do so and it appears not capable of recognizing text above 8.5 by 11 page sizes. Is there any program or any way of having text recognized above 8.5 by 11 page sizes?   I have opened the large acrobat document in Photoshop cs5 and changed the size of the page to 8.5 by 11 and then saved it as a photoshop pdf keeping the original resolution at 300. I need 300 because otherwise I can’t read the page onscreen when I enlarge it. I also have changed the settings to no layers and jpeg minimum. The original document file size is 358kb and the Photoshoped converted ends up at 2.21 mbytes. That is the best I could do because if I ran it at maximum jpg it would come out to 6mbytes. Is there any through Photoshop to keep file size at the original 358kb. The extra file size wouldn’t normally bother me

Hi Does anyone know how to highlight the fields for filling (i.e.: make them grey) so the person filling out the form know exactly where to fill in the tekst. I would like the highlighting to disappear after filling the columns. (So the grey field dosent show when I print the form). Jofre77(using DC 2015)

A user at my place of work is having problems with Acrobat 8 pro so I upgraded her to Acrobat 11 pro. She says that under "compare documents" it doesnt have the same "functionality" or as many "user options". Has some "functionality" been removed from the later versions of Acrobat or have they just been moved to another sub-menu somewhere?

Hi,I am trying to use the new Find and Replace option in Acrobat XI to replace commas found in my document. When I try to Find and Replace it says it cannot find any whole word related to my search.When I try the advanced search it does find my commas but there is no option to replace in the advanced search dialogue.Is it possible?I am trying to replace a comma separating two email addresses (myemail@server.com,myotheremail@example.com) with either a space or a semi-colon.  I want to do this on every page of a 300 page document.Thanks,Doug

Not sure what setting I've changed but when I create a PDF file from another program (eg. web browser, Word) the file is properly created and saved to the location I set but the PDF doesn't open.  I need it to open upon saving.  It always worked this way in previous versions, although I don't remember any settings for it.  I've been using Acrobat DC Pro on a Windows 10 machine for about a week and it's suddenly stopped. Would appreciate any suggestions.  Thanks.

Hi, I'm new to editing PDF's but we have a brochure that was created in "Aller" format and I'm changing it to "Helvetica Neue". It is a full-justified alignment and when I I change the font all the spaces on some of the rows are removed. Other roes look fine. Is there a way around this? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Running XP3 and reader XI. When legit (undamaged) pdf files are received as e-mail attachments, they do not show as pdf, and an error message says "cannot find a file association for this file." Have uninstalled and re-installed XI. Any thoughts?

I opened a pdf file and shortly received a notice box about doing a security update and I declined to finish what I was doing.  Apparently a big mistake.  Shortly the program crashed and I cannot reopen and keep it open for more than 30 or seconds.  In the brief time it was open I clicked updates and it reported I was current.  Until this event, the program worked fine for how I use.  I also found my Adobe elements program crashes immediately upon opening.  And I attempted to update Flash and the update fails, it gets to 90% and stops.  All worked fine until I downloaded and opened this PDF file.   The pdf file might be a clue too.  I had updated an agreement with COMCAST and the agreement is in DocuSign and opens in Safari and in Safari I saved it by selecting "Export as PDF" which it did.  Upon opening in acrobat Pro, I shortly got the security update notice.  So appreciate help in resolving what looks like a complete sudden

Is it possible to automatically set status of check-mark stamp to accepted always? I review a lot of engineering drawings and I use a check mark many many times on any given drawing. I would like to be able to filter the comments list to exclude the check mark stamp. I can't just filter out stamps completely because I use other stamps that I need to be able to see in the comments list. The other possible way to filter the comments list is by status. I thought maybe if the check mark stamp could always, automatically be set to accepted I could filter them out that way.Any ideas/suggestions?Thank you!

Hi All - when using and opening up fiels in adobe - the quality of the text and the tool bars is really poor. The text isn't crisp at all and is specific to when using Adobe.  It looks like a bad scan.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to change it as it will ruin our eyesight!  Thanks

My old laptop failed suddenly, leaving me no chance to deregister the Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard.  I am trying to use my owned Adobe product, for which I still have the original disc and serial number, on my new laptop, though cannot register it because it had been registered once already (on the old laptop). Can this issue be overcome?

I downloaded Adobe Acrobat, because the standard pdf viewer with Mac gave me this error message:"For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later."Once I downloaded this, I tried to open the pdf, but the same error message shows. I double-checked the program, and I already have to most updated version. I don't want to pay to convert the file, since I only need the pdf. I also would need to pay if I wanted another version of this pdf (it's a transcript). Does this sound like an abobe problem, or a problem with the original file? I contacted the people who I downloaded the transcript from, and I'm waiting to hear back. I was hoping to troubleshoot this on my own, but I seem to be backed into a corner where I'm not actually sure what step to take next. If anybody has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

I have been using acrobat dc for about a year. in last few days it has become very unstable. any pd either stored locally on dropbox closes after 15 seconds. Any help appreciated.

New Macbook Pro, after installing Sierra, Acrobat 9 Pro, version 9.3.0 (Adobe suite CS5) stopped working. First error message "...part of a suite ... open a different program". That didn't work. Uninstalled and installed from disc. Current error message, "licensing for this product has stopped working". How can I fix my Acrobat, please??

Built original video in Photoshop and rendered. Tried embedding in an InDesign file and tried exporting base art as an interactive PDF. But, same problem showed. PLEASE HELP! Client waiting!!!!
