for some reason renders video without some corrections. I have a lumetri color adjustment layer that has a LUT for hlg conversion and some minor color adjustments for the movie. when outputting simply through premiere pro, everything goes fine, all color corrections are preserved, but when outputting a video through ME, these corrections are not. Has anyone encountered a similar one? is it really possible to somehow cure it?
I have an issue I had before in other Media Encoder versions some times.Since I updated to ME v.15.1 rendering takes AWEFULLY LONG (hours for just 8min Videos or 1 hour for a 5sec GIF).As you see, it is not just ONE video specifically which makes problems but totally different things. The GIF for example is just 5 sec long, has a very small animation, nothing exquisite or with many layers etc.I have put the rendering options to 10 fps and the quality to 50%. So this should not need as long as it does - as I have rendered such GIFs before in ME and it did not take so long anyway. My solution now was: Going back to the previous ME version. But I wanted to bring this up as I have experienced this some times before when I updated ME. It seems this error is occuring from time to time with an update and I wanted to let the Adobe Team know that!Thumbs up or comment if you have the same problems. Thanks.
I am on the latest version of creative cloud and media encoder and it is continously trying to sign me out asking "Encoding is in progress. Do you really want to quit?". I do not initiate signing out and even after signing in again it quickly provides the same message. It is causing serious issues with trying to complete a project and not finding any responses to any prior posts about this. @m_mulligan please help!
I need to make H264 HD & SD stereo versions from my program master that has 12 Channel split track audio created in AVID. I want to just use the first to channels of the master which is the stereo mix. I know that choosing the Quicktime format allows you to choose the source channels 1-2, but the H264 format doesn't give that audio option. I've tested the export to H264 and it sounds like it's exporting just the stereo mix rather than a mixdown of all the tracks. Is there any way to confirm this? Or is there a way to edit the source tracks from the master file in AME? I know I could export a Stereo version of the master from avid, but I'm trying to avoid the extra step. I'm currently working with AME 2019. Any knowlege or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I am quite new to AME and I have a number of mute graphics file which are 24fps. I want to convert them to 25fps without putting in pulldown. Essentially just change the fps of the file so it's frame for frame - duration doesn't matter. What would be the best setting/solution? Thank you
Is there a way to prevent AME from deleting temp files? It was possible with the older versions and was very usefull, in cases when export failed we could just continue from where it failed instead of exporting everything from the start.
Hello,I rendered, it took me almost 24 hours (because I couldn't render with hardware acceleration otherwise I got an error). When I watch the video in premiere pro, everything is fine, the sound is correct. In the rendering there is a shift from start to finish. Can someone help me please? I believe my processor is not keeping up.
I have been exporting DNxHR videos from Divinci Resolve for the last 5 or 6 months and using media Encoder to create H264s/mp4s for vimeo and the like. I find I get nasty results exporting H264 straight from Resolve, and regardless, this work flow has been working brilliantly for me. Then today, out of nowhere, my DNxHR videos wont be accepted by ME. It says No Video and just shows a black square (if there is an audio track). If there is no audio, it simply says the codec is not accepted. Well it was yesterday!I've tried rolling back to a previous version of encoder, but I get exactly the same results. I also cannot open the video in AE or Premiere, yet the video plays fine in quicktime player or vlc, etc. What could be causing Adobe products to suddenly refuse a certain video codec overnight?
Encoder 15.1(Build42). When encoding is running, other applications out of the Adobe creative license, that are not running at that time, cannot be launched. Always with the message :Your subscription status cannot be confirmed. All applications already running will continue to run without any problems. But e.g. starting Photoshop from within Premiere (or starting it directly) to correct graphics is not possible. After quitting the media encoder the problem is no longer existent. That means you can't continue to work. This means that the media encode does not make any sense. There are no connection problems with the Internet - as indicated by the offered solution. To be on the safe side, I went through the guide.
I actually do not know where this error stems from, but here we go. I was attempting to encode an After Effects composition containing 5 video files with opacity changes only, but 2 of the video files always got encoded looking like this. I was trying to encode it into an MP4 file. Whenever I check the After Effects file, all of the videos are intact, but it still doesn't work for Media Encoder. I attempted encoding 4 times, and restarted both After Effects and Media Encoder to check if that helped.I did try searching the forums, but because I'm not sure what keywords to search, I couldn't find a post that also had this error.
Hello all,When setting up Color Management in PPro and AE, I understand how those work... they access the icc profile in the OS (and or the one you created with a puck) and allow you to see the timelines thru the eyes of that icc profile... But in Media Encoder, when I check the Color Management box in Preferences, what does it really do? It doesn't change the export, from what I can tell. It's supposed to use the icc profile in the OS, but use it for what? Thanks!Letty

hello, cant export from after of version 16.1.2 to media encoderhow can i get the old version of media encoder for that?
I'm trying to get AME to overwrite files. Every time I export (via Adobe Animate) a file, AME will add a new sequntially numbered one, which I then have to rename every time so my editing app will "see it" and substitute the linked file in the project.I tried to uncheck the "Increment outupt file name if file with same name exists" in AME Preferences, but when I go export from Animate I get a failed export message. All I want AME to do is to overwrite the files, but apparently... no go.
Upgraded CC apps today, no I can't open Media Encoder anymore. It crashes shortly after showing the splash screen.I tried a number of things I found in older posts, like deleting older versions from Library/Caches, but nothing works. This is a mojor issue as I need to render mp4s for a client. Any ideas?
Hi All, a question about audio channels...So if I have a Quicktime video with audio on channels 3&4 (but not 1&2) Encoder ignores the audio completely. I have ProRes recordings on an Atomos device that can record up to 8 audio chanels and can assign embedded audio to any of those channels. If I choose to input analogue sound it is prioritised on channels 1&2 so embedded sound is pushed to 3&4. Are there settings in Encoder where I can tell it to encode channels 3&4 to the output? There is probably a sensible explanation, I just can't think of itThank you in advance
Hello All! I am encountering an issue when when exporting H.264 in both AME and PPro. On Mac or PC, the export will get to 100% and then just hang there for hours (how long depends on the project length). The preview window and progress bar get all the way to the end and show (100%) 00:00:00:00 remaining, but everything just appears to stop hang. Patience is a virtue and eventually the export finishes, again sometimes after hours of sitting and appearing frozen. I've been dealing with this since I stopped using Matrox Hardware to encode in 2016 but I know that I cannot be the only still experiening this. There are posts all over the net but no one seems to have come up with a defintitive solution or at least some clarity as to what is going on. Maybe it's not a malfunction at all. Is this normal behavior? This only occurs exporting H.264. Other formats like ProRes and Cineform and others, immediately end the export process when the prev

Hello, I've spent the last week or so developing out several different .MOGRT templates that will significantly speed up our workflow now that media replacement has been implimented. Today I went to render a set of videos with these templates for the first time, and all of the replaced media renders as offline. The image appears and renders fine when exporting from Premiere, but we put out upwards of 50 videos a month and rendering each individually completely nullifies the reason for using the MOGRTs. In Premiere it all functions perfectly and appears online, the problems only come when exported through Media Encoder. It looks like this: I tried disabling "Import Sequences Natively", and while that removed the Media Offline error, it also removed the replaced media entirely: Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Duncan
Hi There, I've been having this issue since updating to version 15 of the media encoder, I have today updated to 15.1 to see if the error is fixed. but it is still happening. I am working on a NAS server. iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)3.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i532 GB 2400 MHz DDR4Radeon Pro 580 8 GB
Hi, Got some strange issues over 4 workstations when using h264 HW encoding in either Media Encoder or Premiere Pro, glitches go from no video on a few seconds, sound/image desync to compression glitches. SW encoding works fine every time. All the 4 workstations are running latest CC and Windows updates, B450i- Aorus pro Wifi motherboards, Ryzen 3700x, 32gb of ram in dual channel, 1to of 970 evo Plus ssd, 2 of them running Quadro P400, 2 other ones running GTX 1650, they all have random glitches using HW encoding. There are 2 others computers with different builds (2700x & GTX 1070, 3500x & 3080 ) that don't have this HW encoding issue at all.Any ideas how to fix that ? Thanks.
Hi there, Before you read this, please be aware I am very much a novice so i apologise if the explanation is poor! For quite some time I have been trying to figure out how to convert a file (more specificially, a timer) and encoding it using the HVEC (H.265) setting. I currently edit videos on Lumafusion on my iPad and due to restrictions in place by Apple alpha channels were not supported... until now! Regardless, I have tried converting the original file to HVEC using media encoder (I have access to a full version), however, whenever I import it to the ipad, there's no transparency maintained. As the timer counts down, a line around the edge of the circle disappears in line with the coundown. At 10 second intervals, a white circle appears around the edge momentarily to emphasise the time. Consequently, the alpha channel is very important! I wanted to reach out to see if I am going massively wrong somewhere. The attached image details the propeties of the ORIGINAL file
Hi,I´am trying to export VR video, using encoder´s VR preset.Source footage - MOV, DNxHR HQ, 19GB 4098x2048, 30fps, 885 Mb/sThe ME shows estimated file size 4,2GB (I increased target bitrate to max 240 and VBR 2 pass)And the result is significantly smaller - 536 MB and horrible quality. (I am using NVIDIA Quadro P2000 and I set the hardware encoding, but software encoding does the same)Any ideas?
Hi everyone,I have been rendering AE animations through Adobe Media Encoder for awhile now, but I'll admit I don't know the technical aspects of the application very well (i.e. effects, presets, bitrate, etc). I never really needed to know since the process was always easy and straightforward, and I never had any issues. I'd add my composition to AME, choose the destination and rename the file, and hit render. I never messed with the format or video settings, and it was alway set to H.264. However, out of nowhere, whenever I render something (I never touched the settings), the .mp4 file looks horrendous. It's glitchy, the aliasing is the worst I've seen in any .mp4 file, and the animation is skippy and irregular, not smooth.I've attached a screenshot of my render settings. If anyone could tell me how to solve this issue I would really appreciate it. I need to get back to my normal workflow ASAP!Thanks,Tom[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved f
Media encoder 15.1 (mid-April 2021 release) is not functioning correctly on MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon. A sequence that previously took around 18-20 minutes to encode to h.264 is now taking ~3.5 hours. This makes it unusable, which is very disappointing given the performance of Photoshop on the M1 chip. It would be very helpful to fix this before I have to port my projects to Motion.
