I am editing my videos on a NAS system with proxie files and attached offline media files. But I cannot export these timelines in Media Encoder. I get a warning that there are missing media files (original UHD files), but I can export every single timeline directly from Premiere without any problems. So I guess this is some kind of bug?I am using an M4 Max Studio with the latest Premiere / Media Encoder version 25.2.3 / 25.2.
Hi everyone,I encounter an issue when rendering a video from Premiere Pro via Media Encoder. The error can be seen in the attached image. Sometimes, I only need to close the Encoder app and reopen it to continue rendering, but other times it requires me to restart my computer to proceed. This can be very inconvenient at times. And sometimes, after closing and reopening the Encoder app, it remembers the links that haven’t been rendered yet. However, other times, it deletes all the links that were either rendered or in the process of being rendered when the error occurred. Can anyone help me fix this error? Many thanks.
hiim trying to export a video for use in a unity3d ipad app, and im having trouble getting the colour to export correctly. My video ends in a particular blue colour and ive so far been unable to get an export out of media encoder that will give me the same blue as in the source. would somebody be able to suggest some settings i could tweak? thanksNick
I'm trying to make a time lapse video from still images from a dslr. When I stitch clip together, jpegs are 5 seconds long. please advise. Thanks F
Hi,I have a large clip (1-1/2 hours long) I have exported via ME as 4K and it corrupts the finished file after around the 2 minute mark. ME completes the export but with the corruption.I have tried a second time only to receive the same issue. What are the best practice work arounds for solving this issue? Is there a cache file that I should consider deleting?I'm currently rendering the entire clip and hope this helps remove any issues.
I keep trying to export a h.264 but AME keeps exporting an empty mp4 and an xmp file. Is there any way to merge the two or fix the issue?
Hi all!I've spent most of yesterday and last night creating proxy files from my camera footage and it has worked fine but there is one clip that is taking absurdly long. It's from the same camera, same settings, etc but while other clips of similar length have taken 30-45 minutes to convert this one is going strong at 9 hours and planning to need another 12! This seems absurd. Any thoughts on what might be going on?The footage is shot on a Canon R5, mostly at 50 fps (some 25fps), 3840x2160 interlaced. I'm converting from MXF OP-1a AVC to just the standard ProRes QuickTime Proxy-Half that Premiere defaults to. omg I just noticed that it has misinterpreted all of my footage as progressive?! So it thinks all my raw footage is progressive and is therefore matching the proxies to also be progressive. Is this a whole other nightmare or possibly related? Anyhow, I'm on a MacBook Pro 2019, running Sequoia 15.3.2, 32GB Ram, 8-Core intel i9, all the newest app updates installed. (I don
I have a few dozen watch folders, with custom presets for each one. They crop the video (under Preset Source) then apply an overlay.Works perfectly... until today.Every Custom Preset in my list, the Source Crop has been reset to 0, 0, 0, 0. Now the video under the overlay has an extra black bar, because the video is "too wide" under my overlay.Even though I backed up the Preset file, with my customs, I do not see where the CROP LEFT , RIGHT, TOP... etc appears in the file so I might try to fix with a find/replace rather than manually set each preset again.I anticipate having MANY MANY more folders and such Presets in the future, where such a "glitch" would ruin my workloads.Any ideas on how to prevent / lock these Presets from being glitched by updates? Or how to fix the current present file with a search / replace?Thank you!
This is a question from a user not myself. They can't seem to disable caption burning in Media Encoder 25.2. Wasn't sure how to assist them so I thought I'd ask here
Hello Adobe Community and Product Teams, I want to share an idea aimed at significantly improving our experience with resource-intensive Creative Cloud applications, such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, and potentially others. --- ### **The Current Problem: The Local Performance Bottleneck** We love the power of Adobe tools, but many of us face major challenges: * **Prohibitive rendering and encoding times:** Hours of waiting for complex projects, which hinders creativity and productivity.* **High hardware requirements:** The need to invest in expensive workstations to achieve acceptable performance.* **Slowdowns and lack of fluidity:** Choppy previews, less responsive interfaces on heavy projects, even on good machines.* **Lack of flexibility:** Difficulty working efficiently on less powerful machines or on the go. These factors limit our ability to fully exploit the potential of the software and meet our deadlines. --- ### **The
I have been trying to figure out how to convert voice recordings to Mp3 so that i could burn them on a cd, so i downloaded this thing. It was working at first... or so I thought. I just wanted to make some bad music to make my friends laugh, but for every couple of songs it converts correctly, It slows down a couple half seed, making it sound lower, and then it cuts off at the same it would if it was going the regular speed. I'm not doing anything different to them and I don't know why they are lowing down. I'm on a time crunch please help me.

I made a 1:30 second video in After Effects, it has some photos and text over the top, the only effects I used were gaussian blur and lumetri color. Very simple small keyframes here and there to have the photos zoom in and fade out. I am using the newest version of After Effects and I have tried on the brand new Media Encoder and have even reverted to Media Encoder 14.03 (per several suggestions online). When I send to Media Encoder and click play (render) it renders about halfway through the clip and then it stops and says "failed." When I export from render queue in After Effects it works just fine, the problem is I want to export an .mp4 file not .avi or quicktime, hence the reason for wanting to use Media Encoder. I am using Windows 10 Enterprise (this is a work computer), with 16gb ram, i7-6820HQ CPU 2.70GHz.
So i've been having a BUNCH of issues with media encoder for the past month. First it was getting stuck on the loading screen, but thankfully I was able to finally get it open after removing the plug-in it kept getting stuck on, but now the comp wont render at all. The project connects to AME and once i start the queue it just stays on "Connecting dynamic link to server" and loads endlessly. The project never actually begins to render. Not only that once I stop the queue I am unable to delete the project from the queue. The only way I can is if i quit AME and come back, only THEN will it let me delete projects in the queue. Anyone got any suggestions on what I should do? I already removed it and reinstalled it a bunch today but that didn't seem to work as well as other things I came across here!My after effects version is : AE 2021v 18.4 My media encoder version is : AME 2021 v 15.4
Hello,Using jpeg sequences quite a bit in my workflow, I would like to report 2 bugs knowing that I work from RAW video rushes from the Canon R5C on a 1st generation Mac Studio (2022, Apple M1 Max chip):In Premiere, I export my videos in Jpeg sequence format, which has always worked well, except recently, if I export via Media Encoder, the colorimetry changes abnormally (cyan dominant). I don't have this problem if I export directly in Premiere.then I import this Jpeg sequence into After Effect as "all files/Camera RAW" in order to be able to apply my colorimetric settings via Camera RAW then I export in H265 in Media Encoder. It has always worked well except that recently, I have an error message (screenshot attached). Note that it works well on my Macbook Pro (from 2019 I think). I have done all the Adobe and Mac OS updates. I have the same problem on versions 2025 or 2024 of Media encoder and After effect. Please help me, I am a videoart artist and it is blocking me f
Running Windows 11 on Victus laptop w/AMD Ryzen 5000 series 7 & Radeon gfx.Latest versions of Permier Pro Desktop and Media Encoder installed and updated. I have about 39-44 minutes of MP4 footage that was originally captured on a Sony 4k camcorder. However (and I caused this probelm) when I renamed the file and moved it via USB, Windows changed the file properties associated with the video. (I never have any problems when I import or ingest directly from the SD card.) All the video is still there - the file size is the same, etc, etc. But now Windows, Premier Pro and Media Encoder all think it's only 3 seconds long. The resulting mp4 only plays the LAST 3 sec of the original. There's probably a Sony or Windows hack out there somewhere to fix this, but I'd much rather fix my self-inflicted idiocy in Premier Pro or Media Encoder. The original stuff is gone now. The SD card has since been formatted. Can anyone offer a solution?
Hello, I am having an issue of rendering in after effects, even a 10 second video takes 1 to 3 hours of rendering in media encoder, please help me in resolving this issue, thanks
Hello, We have a huge problem: GPU Utilization is virtually nonexistent when exporting an After Effects project using AME. This has been a problem since v25.0 last year, and we never had an issue with v24.I have tested this across several computers in my workplace. It's so bad that a brand-new laptop with a RTX4080 12GB is being out-performed by a 2021 MacBook Pro 14". (It's a Windows-only issue it seems)I've attached screenshots of the GPU utilization from the same project, same computer, and same export settings. When exporting from AE directly, the GPU is almost fully utilized and in AME it's very low to none. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but trying to export the same project from After Effects directly eats all of the available RAM and it crashes, even on a 32GB machine with only 4GB allowed for other apps. It also affects projects without 3D objects. Here's the specs for one of the PCs I've tested (from the screenshots):Windows 11 ProRyzen 7 2700x32GB RAMNVID
Hello everyone, I've designed some LED video panels for a client in After Effects, but their supplier specifications ask for a .MOV video with DVX codec. I honestly haven't heard of DivX in 15-20 years and thought the format was dead... A quick search led me to the official www.divx.com website, that provides a free app to convert video files into DVX format. The installer for the app however is not signed and I don't feel comfortable bypassing Mac OS security (also on Trustpilot it's mentioned that the Windows installer too gets flagged as malware). All in all the website is pretty sketchy. I found another alternative in https://resolume.com which provide a free converter, and while they look like a serious and professional developer, the converter is bundled with their other applications that I'd rather not install on my work machine. Does anyone know of a free and safe way to encode or convert into DVX in 2025? Thank you so much!
In 25.1 I was able to click on the link after a render and Finder would route the the file. Now in 25.2 it's only directs to the folder and opens a completely new window each time you click on it. Now I have to sift through dozens of exports and multiple windows to find my project. How can I fix this? I'm reverting to previous version until this can be fixed. Mac M2 ProSonoma 14.6.1
I don't know if there is a way to do this already... but this is either a question or a suggestion depending on if it's possible When generating proxies in Media Encoder through Premiere Pro, the proxies adopt the audio channels and attributes of the source files. Premiere Pro requires that audio on proxies matches. Is there a way to do this in AME as a first step?Without going through Premiere Pro. As far as I have been able to find, there is no way to do any sort of pass-through audio on Apple ProRes Proxy files through AME... it would have to be set in the preset or per file, but then you'd have to have a preset for every different type of audio configuration and that isn't very realistic Since it can work when going through Premiere as an intermediary, why not have the option to do it without Premiere on the front end and then connect your proxies later? is this already possible? I can't find it.
Hi so I've been trying to export a very small animation I made with Adobe Animate recently and I've noticed that despite the file being very small Adobe Media Encoder won't encode it and it'll be stuck at 60% and when the pop up for Media Encoder shows up it immediately disappears and the app closes itself out and even when I tried opening it on its own it would automatically close out. I've got all the most recent versions since initially when this problem first happened I thought it was a bug with the old versions but even having all the most recent versions of everything downloaded it still leads to this same problem. I've been attempting to fix this for hours now with no avail, I cleaned some of my storage to see if that would do anything I tried clearing the cache on my internet history thinking that might lead to something and nope, I'm on a laptop.
I had some films transfered to digital files that are 4:3, I want to crop out the black bars on the side in ME, When I render it, the black bars still appear as if the video is 16:9 still. This is AFTER I go to source and select 4:3. What user error am I doing to make this not work?
