Hello, I'm using After Effects 2023 and Media Encoder 2023 to use a custom plugin. I also installed the 2026 version. However, during installation, I accidentally clicked the "delete old version" button. I restored After Effects and Media Encoder on my Mac using TimeMachine, and they are working, but when I try to send a composition from After Effects to Media Encoder, I get a warning that the program is not installed. When I try to add an After Effects composition from Media Encoder, I get the same error. When I click "synchronize settings" in Media Encoder, the online login screen appears, but the button to send the confirmation code doesn't work, and it doesn't send a confirmation email. Is there a solution to recover these versions of After Effects and Media Encoder?
I queue up a project with image 1 in the encoder render, then I go back to the project and change it to image 2 while the first video is still rendering. The encoder changes image 1 to image 2 halfway through the first video. The problem is that for the last two years I have been working the same way and nothing changed in the real-time render if I changed something in the project, but now it changes. This has never happened before.
Hi everyone, We're excited to announce a new Adobe Community experience is coming this January. A little bit about the update: The new experience will be simpler to navigate, make it easier to connect with other creatives and Adobe experts, and is designed so you have a say in the evolution of the Adobe apps you use each day. In the meantime: Adobe Community will remain active. Keep using it as usual—there will be no interruption in access. In fact, you’ll notice even more Adobe Experts on deck to provide faster responses before, during, and after the update. No existing content will be lost in the update. Every single post, reply, solution, feature request, and bug report you’ve made will be transferred to the new experience. You won't need to recreate anything. Existing content will reappear in two phases. At launch, posts created on or before November 16th will be available immediately. A few weeks later you’ll see posts created between November 17
If you work with a lot of footage, you know the drill: you import everything into Premiere… and then you wait. And if you use the Search panel, you know how powerful it is for finding exactly what you need. But Premiere has to analyze your media before you can search for anything, including dialogue, sounds, objects, and scenes. On large projects or shared storage, that wait adds up fast. What’s new Media Encoder 26.0 can now perform AI‑powered analysis on your video and audio files before they ever reach Premiere. This includes: Visual content detection (objects, scenes, visual elements) Audio characteristics (sound events, music, ambient sounds, dog barks) Speech‑to‑text transcription for searchable dialogue This allows editors to focus immediately on creative decisions instead of waiting for analysis to complete. How it works When Media Encoder analyzes your media, it creates a small .prmi sidecar file next to your original footage.
The exported video is shifted to the right side of the frame. This causes the right side of the video to be cropped/cut off, while a appears on the left side. I marked red box
Hi all, I’m encountering an issue when exporting a video via Media Encoder, where certain sections of the exported video appear as a black, pixelated outline of the image. Please see the attached screenshots (Export Issue 01 and Export Issue 02) for reference. The issue is also visible during the render process in Media Encoder itself (screenshot attached). I’ve completed three exports so far. Each export reproduced the issue, although the affected sections were not exactly the same each time. I've only seen this problem occur during export in Media Encoder. The clips play correctly in the Premiere timeline and also appear fine when viewed in DaVinci Resolve and REDCINE-X. Hi,In Media Encoder I have adjusted all settings incl "use maximum render quality". But when I select preset for next video, the "max render quality is disabled. How come? I am exporting an number of video's in 1080x1920.H.264 MP4 format with AE and Media Encoder.
HEVC h.265 is missing in Adobe Media Encoder 25.6 on macOS - It is available in Premiere, Though. This is happening on multiple machines of different types across my team. And we are at a loss as to why this is happening and what to do about it. Any concrete information about H.265 support in adobe products on macOS would be appreviated. We do still see H.265 in Premiere. But sending an export to Media Encoder causes the selected codec to switch to AAC audio. Media Encoder: Version 25.6 (Build 98)macOS: Sequoia 15.0 through 15.7.3This appears to have started happening in one of the recent Media Encoder 25.x versions.H.265 presets are still present, but when we select them we get an error about the codec being missing.
hi all, I have a question when using software only encoding in h264, VBR 1 pass mode:the sample screenshot showing 3 files encoded from the same sequence, using 3 different VBR settings, Target20 Max20, Target10 Max10, Target7 Max7from the bitrate viewer graph, basically only the beginning part of the video (with some dynamic fast moving video content) reflects the difference in bitrate encoded, the rest of the video (more like training/ static slide/screen demo style video) looks almost identical in bitrate encoded.is this encoding behavior in Software only CPU VBR mode intentional by design?
Hi, the Media Color Settings AME: do they affect the output file or are they just for "previewing"? I am working with all latest updates on Windows 11. I work for TV broadcast mostly and my final files are ProRes422 QT Movie on Windows. Mostly HD. What are the best settings to use? ThanksJan
Hello everyone, I hope you can help me.I DO NOT want to burn subtitles into the video, but rather create the video in such a way that I can open or close the subtitles. I've tried so many things—do you have any tips?
I'm running low on my C: diskspace. That's not Adobes fault, but I ask myself, why is AME bigger than Ae?... is there a whole Ae and Pr inside? AME should just convert, right? look:
Hello, I recently updated the new version v25 of media encoder and videos that usually export in a few minutes are now taking hours. I am exporting from After effects and have used the same process / settings as previous versions, so dont undertand what is going wrong. Any help would be much appreciated to resolve this. I have attached a screenshot of a current export. Thank you.
Hi all,I'm trying to export a short video on media encoder, under the word status it says warning. The warning says ꜜ. What does this mean? What do I have to do?
I'm dumping a bunch of existing video files into Media Encoder to make them smaller. I'm exporting them to a new, emty folder. I understand that the program wants to avoid overriting existing files, but when there are no files with the same names in the desitnation folder, I don't need the automatic "_1" at the end. Is there a setting in Media Encoder to omit the _1 from the file name?Is there a way to append something else, my own custom text, at the end of a file name? Thanks for any help.
I am creating ProRes 422 Proxy proxies for 4K Sony footage with 8 channel audio. I'll attach these proxies to the master clips in premiere so I can use the toggle proxy function, and so matching the amount of audio channels is important for this.I made a preset with 8 channel audio as discrete tracks (screenshot below), transcoded one clip, and it worked great; got all the audio tracks I needed. So I made a giant queue using that preset for the rest of the raw footage, and after transcoding 8 clips according to the preset perfectly, Media Encoder started transcoding my clips as mono. Mono proxies are useless to me because they won't attach to their 8 channel master clips. Can someone shed some light on how the transcode settings changed in the middle of a queue, despite all of my clips having the same raw footage specs and the same preset assigned? It lost me a lot of time and I would like to avoid this happening again.
adobe always excited to get us to update their apps. yet. their own reps still using CC 2014 . WHY ? WHAT GIVES ???? cause CC2014 as it was the Best ?this is why i hate adobe so much. their own people even hate their updates! caught ya red handed!
Hi, I often record every detail of a project I work on in my "work journal." I want to know if Adobe Media Encoder provides a built-in feature to track render duration and automatically shut down the PC. As far as I know, the render duration is indeed shown while the process is running, but it disappears once the rendering is finished. This way, I can truly leave my PC while rendering without having to start or stop a timer using another application. Thank you.
I’m stumped. When I test my movie in Animate, it ends on completion. But the Media Encoder always stops short a few seconds before the end. (about 4100 frames). Any suggestions?Thx
In Windows 10 22H2 I can't uninstall Media Encoder 2025. I uninstalled all my Adobe products except Reader. The Media Encoder is still in my start menu and active. But is not listed in Windows 10 as installed. It's irritating because occasionally I tap it and boom three windows open I need to kill. And it logs me in to the Cloud and trys to get me to purchase it. None of the Windows methods for uninstall work. When I used the old Control Panel it said an error occured and would I like it removed from the Start Menu. The 'Yes' did nothing. I no longer subscribe to any products so have no access to support.Anyone have any ideas?
when i drag and drop footage into AME then select my ingest preset it wont let me choose location of footage where to i export how to do it ( i do this becaue i do not want to waste time to import footage into premier pro and send to AME for proxy instead of i do direct drag nad drop into AME and make proxy my main stuck is when i click make proxy from premier pro it takes a lot of time to send AME so i decided to direct drag and drop into AME and make proxy and attach it later DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY SOLUTION TO THIS OR ANY OTHER WAY?????
When I render an H.264 video, the task stops randomly. The software interface looks completely normal, but the rendering process freezes — even the “elapsed time” counter stops. No matter how long I wait, it never resumes, and the system shows no error messages. Please help — it’s completely unusable. My computer is high-end: Intel Ultra 7 265 processor, 32 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD, using integrated graphics only (no dedicated GPU). What on earth is causing this problem?I’ve tested multiple times, and the stopping point is different each time, so I’m sure it’s not an issue with the source materials.
I am using After Effects for Logo Animation work from Template. But when listing and exporting using Media Encoder Queue the it's freeze after 2/3/5/6/7 random times and once it's freeze, my whole pc getting freezes and then I don't have another way without Restart! I'm using 2025 version of AE and ME. Also, this problem just happening when I am selecting "MERCURY PLAYBACK ENGINE GPU ACCELERATION (OPEN CL)" but when I am selecting "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" then everything going perfect and rendering not freezing anymore but rendering time is slower because I know it's using CPU only now. But how can I fix it to use gpu encode? Do I need to through my Intel Arc to Dustbin and purchase a Nvidia card? Please give me a solution guys because I am suffering a lot for this! My pc config:i9 14900KF (Undervolted offset -50)Gunnir Intel Arc A770 Photon (Resizable Bar On from Bios)Two Stick of 6000Mhz Ram (total 64GB) Installed on 2nd and 4th number slot with intel xmp onAsrock
How can I render out an mp4 / H.264 with an alpha channel? I want to make an animated overlay for my twitch broadcasts and hopefully for other people but I can't even get it to be transparent.
