Another problem in this long list of Media Encoder Issues.I have been trying for hours to render a Premiere Pro project which has multiple After FX dynamic links (intro, lower thirds, outtro etc.). I'm on Windows 11, Dell XPS 8940, Intel i9-10900 3.70 GHz, latest version of all apps, NVidia GForce RTX 2060 graphics, fast SSD drives and 32 Gb of RAM.The sequence won't render from AME (or direct from PP for that matter) and stops on the first frame (as far as I can tell) after the openning After FX intro.I tried everything - Playback engine settings in all types, replacing video files, updating drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the software, clearinbg caches, swapping drives, removing effects, rendering to a different drives, disabling parallel encoding and I even sang a Christmas song to Adobe Premiere in 5 different languages. All to no avail UNTIL...I pre-rendered the After FX intro to a QuickTime file (it has to have an alpha channel at the end) and boom, it worked. So on the hand
All apps are all updated 2020 versions. All apps are installed in the same folder.Premiere Pro CC 2020 will not queue media to AME through File -> Export -> Media -> QueueAfter Effects CC 2020 will not connect with AME when rendering through AMEPP and AE also cannot communicate when I replace media with AE composition. Possible cause of problem:Deleted creative cloud apps folders from C drive then moved default installation to my other drive. All apps installed fine and are all working except for dynamic link. I have tried the following:Uninstalled all apps again - Did not workUninstalled AME then reinstalled - Did not work Temporary workaround:In AME I did:File -> Add Premiere Pro Sequence/AE Composition and AME successfully added them to the queue. Thoughts? Should I do a clean installation of the entire creative cloud app? How do I do that?
When I export through Media Encoder there is audio in the preview. Audio is checked on for the export as well. However, when I export the project it renders the .mp4 with no audio. This is happening on two different workstations on two different accounts. It seems this issue arose after the new update in Adobe's software.
My System:Windows 11i9 13900K (24 core)128 Gigs of RAM (4000+ hz)EVGA FTW 3090 (24 Gig VRAM)M.2 across the board (working/rendering on separate drives)My Issue:I'm rendering a high-settings video (60 VRB, 2 pass at 4K). Yes, this is a lot, but my machine should handle it. Yet, while rendering on software only, my machine is using only 15 to 20 percent CPU and no GPU. When I switch to GPU acceleration, I'm still using roughly 15 eprcent CPU, but only 10 to 15 percent GPU.What's wrong here, and how do I fix it?Thank you so much.
I run AME and Premier Pro on two computers; an iMac Pro and Mac Pro. Recently, I discovered that AME on the iMac Pro has a problem. I first noticed that it is misinterpreting a preset I have been using for years. The preset is for Standard Definition NTSC 720x486 with 8 pixels cropped from the left and right and 3 from the top and bottom. When I open it in AME on the iMac Pro it shows 8 pixels cropped from the left but 0 from the right and 3 from the top and 0 from the bottom. The same problem is present with the iMac Pro with AME 2018, 2019, and 2021. The problem is not present on the Mac Pro. I exported the preset from AME on the Mac Pro and imported into AME on the iMac Pro but the issue is still present. Furthermore, when I manually edit the AME settings on the iMac Pro and add the crops to the right and bottom and press OK, when I reopen the edit preset dialogue the right and bottom crops are gone. I tried to attach the p
I would like to Save/Export my Media Encoder custom workspace to an external file so that in the case of a catastrophic crash, I can restore/import the custom workspace and be back up and running faster. Is this possible?
I have the latest version of Adobe media encoder installed and have had the same problem for over a year now. I do a lot of computer screen recordings that do not have a video camera feed and or just presentation based. No matter what CBR settings I I try in Adobe media encoder, the final export always seems to be variable and significantly lower than the chosen data rate. If I use CBR for a video camera recording, the output is still variable according to media info but the data rate is a lot closer to what I choose in Adobe media encoder. I feel like I Adobe media encoder is still doing some variable bit rate analysis to screen based only recordings for some reason. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
From a couple of days suddenly Media Encoder fails all the type of conversion/exports. I already tried to switch between CUDA and Software only, it changed that in Software Only in begin to fail a little later...I didn't change anything in my hardware, it works perfectly for months. Here's one of the log of manyPlease help me!
When exporting from Premiere (23.4.0) to Encoder (23.5) the exported files don't use each sequence name but keep on using the same name of an old sequence (that was exported in the past). Any idea why this happens (it happens in -at least- a couple of projects), am I missing something?.
I am rendering a GIF out of After Effects, it hangs when it gets to the very end. Weirdly it still plays the file even if I stopped it in the encoder. But I feel like this would somehow corrupt the file. (I'm not super technical I'm more of an artworker, so may be wrong). FYI MP4 worked, it was the Animated GIF that caused an issue. Can anyone suggest a solution please?
Hi,Since updating to Media Encoder 23.5 I'm having trouble connecting to Dynamic Link server.I tried everything I could find in this community but nothing seems to solve the issue.Uninstalling and downgrading ME and AE, resetting and deleting cache and preference files, checking and unchecking different settings in AE... I'm running ME 23.6 right now on an Apple iMac running macOS Venturea 13.5.1I also have to manually drop my comps into ME for them to show up in the list.Using 'File > Export > Export To Media Encoder Queue' doesn't do anything. Same for the workaround by adding the composition to AE Render Queue and clicking 'Queue in AME'.I didn't have these issues before 23.5 but downgrading to 23.4 doesn't help either.Hope someone has a solution here...
I have 1000s of video files with stereo-audio.Now I need to merge each of these files with a new wav-file with 5.1 surround-audio track. These files have same name as the original file with an extension.Output should be the original video file with stereo-audio (audio channel 1-2) + 5.1 surround (audio channel 3-8).Is it possible to batch this workflow in Adobe Media Encoder? As an alternative, I will need to transcode the original files with stereo-audio to files with 8 channel audio where the original stereo-audio will be mapped to audio channel 1-2. The empty channels 3-8 will be filled out by the software which create the new 5.1 surround mix.
Hello, I'm attempting to use AME to re-encode some files. When I click on the 'Metadata' button to open up the menu, nothing happens. I've tried re-installing and shutting down my system but nothing.(I need to open Metadata in order to make sure it's not exported with file) I had a buddy test out the same files on his system and the 'Metadata' button worked fine. macOS, M1 MAX, Ventura 13.6 Any help would be appreciated!Brandon
Hello, Premiere ExtendScript API has an API to use AME to render a sequence from a project - app.encoder.encodeFile(filePath, outputPath, presetPath, workArea, removeUponCompletion). As its fourth parameter, it takes a "workArea" which can be ENCODE_IN_TO_OUT, meaning the AME should render the part that is between the in and out points set on the sequence in the Premiere project. This in and out point of the sequence is also automatically honoured when dropping the prproj file to a watch folder that AME is configured to watch. Now I am looking for a similar option in the AME ExtendScript API - app.getExporter().exportItem(source, destination, preset). But I could not find it. As a result, the sequence in my prproj file is being rendered in full instead of only the part between in and out points.I noticed a different method (exportSequence) which accepts leadingFramesToTrim/trailingFramesToTrim but it does not look like there is any easy way to get those frame numbers from
Hello!I am having an issue with one of my videos not rendering correctly. For instance in Preimer Pro it looks fine:Then when it starts to render and completes:I am not sure what is going on. The original recorded video is just fine from what I can tell. Same scene from the unedited video. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no clue how to fix this. Further more the clips I add for the opening and closing render just fine, so its narrowed down to just the edited video part...I hope I am making sense. Anyways thanks for the help in advance.
I cannot export my AE composition straight to AME; AME will open but my comp won't be there. I can, however, add my comp to the AE render queue and then send it to the AME render queue from there, and it shows up, but when I try to render it in AME or adjust render settings it pops up as a Dynamic Link Server Connection failure and then it tells me "Could not read from source. Please check the settings and try again." I have the 2020 AE and AME; and funnily enough what does work is rendering it in AE into a .mov, then uploading that .mov into the AME queue from AME, then it'll render and go into an .mp4. However, making it a .mov takes away some quality and so I'd like to avoid that if possible! Any help would be appreciated; I've already tried the instructions from most tutorial posts on here and they don't work! 😞
Adobe Media encoder plugin is missing in After Effects. How do you install the plugin?
Media encoder or other encoding options in premiere or after effects corrupts h264 when exporting to afp server so it doesnt fail but the thumbnail of the file is not visible and it doesnt open or play correctly. When played with quicktime player, the first few seconds is freeze frame. I found out that it is an old problem that exporting straight to afp server it could corrupt. I have tried to export straight to the computer and that works. Smb server connection does the same for now, I've tried that already. Everything has been updated. Its happening only with adobe softwares and I'm on macbook pro M2 ultra, hardware encoding. Afp server is from 10gbps ethernet running on thunderbolt dock. Server is qnap ts-873.
Most of our content is long form (documentaries, broadcast, films, etc), however when we do short form (commercials, promos, etc) that are approximately less than a minute... upon export the video as an h264 it is always cut short and typically "freezes" on a frame for the last few seconds of the video (audio is fine). Long form is fine. We have tried exporting as different formats such as ProRes 422 or 4444 and, then taking that video as an h264 and same thing happens. We have toyed with the Renderer from software only to Metal, and have had mixed results. It sometimes works, but more often still simply freezes the last few moments. Older Macs seem to be more "reliable" in getting the full video when running Software Only verses newer Macs which consistently cut it short. We've also tried directly out of Premiere with same results, across multiple machines of different generations. This has been an issue for our team for awhile, but as mentioned,
Hi!In third-party application's documentation i found next sentences :"Starting with AME 11.1.2.35, the Adobe Media Encoder can be installed as a Windows Service. This service should be running at all times on the central AME machine. See Adobe documentation on how to install Adobe Media Encoder as a Windows service."But i couldn't find any information about it.How i can do it ?
When encoding, my Media Encoder 2024.0.3 regularly gets stuck between 90-100% when rendering - just never continues or closes off the file. I have experienced the same problem with earlier versions of ME as well.If I press "Stop Queue", right-click the job and select "Reset Status", it usually renders the file completely. It just seems totally arbitrary and a bit annoying, specially when rendering an entire list of compositions and it get stuck on one of the first. Anyone with the same problems? System: Intel i9 13900, 64 GB memory, nVidia Quadro A2000, fully updated Windows 11, display drivers and Adobe-programs and 500 GB free SDD-space at primary drive and 800 on my project drive.
My question is, does Media Encoder not support expresion controls>point control for MOGRT (created with aftereffects)? Or is it a bug? MOGRT created in aftereffects 2024 and used in Premiere Pro 2024.It resets when rendering with Media Encoder. [Information to be reset]Position information linked to point control No problem when rendering in Premiere Pro.
Media encoder is stuck at 10 seconds left when exporting to H.264 on adaptive high bitrate I'm using I laptop with i911900h 3060 and 16gb of ram
I am have some serious issues with AME 2020. Right now, it wont even launch as the error message it gives is cannot create folder /users/.../documents/adobe/adobe media encoder/14.0/presets If I go to that folder and manually put in a folder called Presets - will launch - however, I cannot open the edit>preferences in AME nor can I import a file as the error code on that reads 'File import error the file could not be imported Could not read from source.' I can, however, take that exact file in PP and export it to Queue and it will open in AME - but, I get a warning in AME that 'offline media is detected and will be encoded with the offline media graphic' I have tried to uninstall AME and re-install,. un-install and reinstall both PP and AME still same issueto further trouble shoot, I have my 'old' C drive still in the puter after putting in a SSD months ago (all works fine up untill a couple days ago) but I can launch AME 2019 on what is now the D drive and the
