Hi all, Does anyone know why there is suddenly an "Out of Memory" error msg when I've been attempting to export HEVC in Adobe Media Encoder 2022? It never happened in 2021 version! H.264 is totally fine as is all other codecs. Many thanks, Alice
Getting a low memory error in Media Encoder. And it won't finish my export of CH. Never got this before. But my CH scene is larger than normal. Any suggestions?
Is it possible to use ExtendScript to apply a LUT in AME?The idea would go something like this... SourcePath="/Path/To/SourceFile"; DestPath="/Path/To/DestFile"; Format="H.264"; Preset="/Path/To/Preset.epr"; ThisLut="/Path/To/Lut.cube"; FrontEnd=app.getFrontend(); Rslts=ThisFrontEnd.addFileToBatch(ThisSourcePath,ThisFormat,ThisPreset,ThisDestPath); Rslts.SomehowAddALut(ThisLut);
Hi, folks. Is there any way to get Media Encoder to singal when it finishes the render queue? Needless to say, I don't mean signal to the human user by playing a chime sound 🙂 I mean notify the system by firing some kind of 'onComplete' event or something when the render is done.I looked through the scripting guide and couldn't seem to find any mention of event listeners in the API. Are there any other ways? Can this be done on the OS level via CMD/Terminal? (e.g. watch the export folder for contents and see if all the expected video files are already there?)Since my intents and purposes don't require the precise time of completion, can I set an interval to periodically check if the rendering is still in progress via the following method:var previouslyElapsed = 0; var checkIfStillCooking = setInterval(isStillCooking, 1000); function isStillCooking() { if(app.getExporter().elapsedMilliseconds == previouslyElapsed) { clearInterval(checkIfStillCooking); //Queue has fini
What is the best way to transcode lossless Canon R5 8K raw material (.crm) with Media Encoder to work in Premiere Pro?
I have a problem with the encoder after upgrading to version 2019. The same problem occurs on two workstations. At random moments, the program stops working for no particular reason. This is a very big problem for me because I can not go back to the 2018 version at this stage of the post-production and I have to encode over 250 films. The only solution that work for me right now is direct export from Premier Pro. But how can you imagine the employment of someone who is sitting and every 30 minutes is encoding another movie is not the best solution. What I did:- reinstall all Adobe apps- clean cash- update graphic card drivers- on one of the stations, I even reinstalled the entire windows- I tried to encode without CUDA- I did update to 13.0.1- I did update to 13.0.2... nothing works. Since I've experienced the problem, Adobe has already sent two updates, but none of them solved my problem. There is only one machine in the entire office that has no problems with 2019 Encoder and it's a l
Hello, i have serious problem with watch folder, it seems that it does not see image sequences and so it wont convert them... Is it true?
I've been using AME casually for a few years. Been using it more now (ver. 15.4 build 42) and observe that if I change the duration of the settings to "Entire duration" and save it as a preset, AME will revert back to "Work Area" as the default whenever I switch presets or restart another AME session. Having to open up the settings panel to change the duration almost every time I use a preset kind of defeats the purpose of having them, agreed? Are others experiencing this same issue? Please inform if this is a bug or user error. Thx,- DK
Hey, I was wondeirng if there is a way to increase the upload speed. When uploading directly to vimeo it takes a long time, maybe 20min per GB. However when I use chrome to upload it separately it a GB takes about a minuet. I have a 900mb/s down speed and a 500mb/s up speed. Is there a limiter setting within Media Encoder? And can it be increased or removed?
Hi, I'm having a hiccup downloading a video from Media Encoder. The media exports into ME fine, but issue lies when I view it in QuickLook. Somewhere, the program takes my 4;30;00 short into a 00;01;36 download. I checked my settings and everything seems normal. This video is the only one having an issue.
HelloMedia encoder is freezes on splash screen, also tried installing previous versions with same results..Cant even "end task" in task manager, just stays " not responding" until i restart my laptop.how can this be resolved? ThanksShmulik
Sometimes it amuses me how we have managed as a human species to get to space... but software updates break it all. Media encoder is struggling with 40% of my renders, I have noticed that it struggles more when I assign it a new folder location, but if I render within the default folder is usually does the job. It might be completely unrelated.... but given that these mistakes can happen anytime, it would be amazing if AE could come with it's own way to render at least a simple mp4.
Hi everyone, I am currently having trouble when exporting GIFS in Media Encoder. The GIFS i have been exporting are loosing some quality from the original artwork (green dashes/dots appearing). After seeing this I wanted to up the quality as my GIFS are only coming out at around 2.5mb, I have used the Quality Bar (Basic Video Settings) before in Media Encoder to increase/decrease the quality of GIF but can't see any option to do so anymore? I am not sure if this is from a new update or settings I have set when starting my animation. I will attach photos to show what I mean. Any help to get the quality bar back would be great. If that is not the issue, then any help to remove the poor quality (green dots and dashes) and up the fize size of my GIFS would be great. Thanks
AME stops encoding randomly and with no errors! It's an awful problem and I've found references to this massive error 7(!!!) years ago in 2015! It would be really great if Adobe had a QA team. This is not a me problem, or an any user problem. This is an Adobe problem. There is no problem with my files. It's completely random. Something will just stop encoding, I'll restart, the to encode again and it's fine. There's no information I can find about specifically what happens when it hangs. Just the AME UI acting like it's working while I can see in the Task Manager that nothing is "going." PLEASE FIX
This isn't a question, but more of a comment of appreciation and discovery. I was working on a video for a client who after I delivered the video in 1080p asked for a 4K version. 4K was never stated as a requirement and a good part of the footage was shot at1080p for potential slowing down. It was edited on a1080p timeline. After trying to explain to my client why upscaling was a bad idea I decided to export a version in 4K (using the YouTube 2160p 4K Ultra HD preset in Media Encoder) out of curiosity. I was very pleasantly suprised at the result! It is noticeably sharper than the same version at 1080p (YouTube1080p Full HD preset). Also sharper than the version exported in ProRes in1080p. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and or sees any potential pitfalls with making these "4K" videos that were edited in 1080p?
Hi, I am wondering if there's a way to save a fixed in and out points in a custom Preset. My particular problem arises with Adobe Animate, which exports all movies containing frame effects with a "broken" first frame (odd colours). I'd like to encode the videos with a preset capable of automatically starting at frame 2.Media Encoder doesn't seem to be able to do that, but just in case, I'm asking... thanks!
Hi all, I am trying to make a video from .exr renders at 60fps. I have selected 60fps from the Basic Video Settings tab but it keeps coming out as I think the default 29.97fps. There are 240 frames in my render, so at 60fps it should come out to 4 seconds, but it comes out as 8 seconds. Is there another setting I'm missing?
This is getting pretty ridiculous. I'm putting together videos in Premier Pro.. often 30min to an hour or so long... everything filmed with my GoPro 10 and everything sounds great IN PREMIER. I encode the video in 4k 30 fps with adui set to AAC 48000 Hz Stereo 512 Bitrate, queue it up, and let it run. It's big and 4k so takes a while even on my 3090/5950x PC... Finished up, no errors.. fire up the video.. sounds great, looks great... and BOOM.. I'll find a random 10-15 seconds or so dead audio spot in the middle of the video.. So... I'll check the spot in Premier.. sounds perfect, and is the same type of sound and footage as everywhere else in the video. I'll re-encode the entire thing, many more hours... and BAM... another 10-15 dead spot in another spot in the video, the spot that had a dead sound spot before, sounds fine. Wtf? I'll encode again... entire video sounds fine, no dead audio spots. This happens in probably half of my videos and is quite frustrating and have no
Last night AME was working fine. I wake up this morning, try and render and now AME is not working right. Starts up fine, I try and add a composition, which is all going well and then as soon as it says "connected to [project]" in the Import window a crash report for After Effects appears. AME itself doesn't crash, but the import fails. I was watching the task manager as this happens, and for some reason when I import into AME, there are two versions of After Effects starting up in the background - could this be causing it??? I've tried importing multiple AE files, even the ones I rendered yesterday and it's still doing it despite it working fine yesterday. I'm using window 10, AE and AME 2020 (Version 14.9) I dont want to update any software as I'm mid-project and I've had bad experiences doing that, so can anyone suggest a solution? Can't understand why it would suddenly stop over night!
I have been using a proxy workflow for over a year now and distribute Premiere projects with proxies for several editors. Many of these projects are then graded after a final lock. During the edit process I need to make sure that the editors can seemlessly work with original and proxy footage. The process was working well until the 22 updates. I have searched preferences in AME 22.2 (Build 64) and I can't find a way to export proxies that match the original footage (uncolor managed). Specifically I am having problems with Sony ILME-FX6V .MXF clipsCaptureGammaEquation value = s-log3-cineCaptureColorPrimaries value = s-gamut3-cineCodingEquations value = rec709 Any advice is appreciated. Thank you KLLVideo
Bom dia!Hoje tentei renderizar um arquivo feito no After Effects 2022 no Media Encoder 2022, porém sempre apresenta a mesma falha: Não foi possível abrir o projeto. Tentei abrir outro arquivo e não deu certo. Desinstalei e reinstalei o Encoder 2022 e não deu certo. Por favor, preciso de ajuda! Obrigado pela atenção
I have tried to render a 10:16:18 After Effects (v22.2.0 (Build 120)) project with Media Encoder (v22.2 (Build 64) and without exception, it freezes at some point along the way. The interface continues to work, I can pause or stop the encoding but I cannot get the project to complete. I have searched the problem and it seems that this is an issue with different versions in the past I have tried many of the suggestions made in those posts (except downgrade to MEv12). I tried uninstalling Creative Cloud and chose "Repair" instead. After restart, the freezing continues. It was suggested that I change the renderer, but I am using the recommended Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Metal) Here is the AMEEncodingErrorLog.txt from the last failed attempt;- Source File: /Volumes/Working Drive/After Effects Projects/220218 Aquarium Calm/220218 Aquarium Calm_AME/tmpAEtoAMEProject-Aquarium Calm 10 Minutes_3.aep- Output File: /Volumes/Working Drive/After Effects Projects/22021

I have just used AME to convert Sony EXCam files to WAV 16 bit 48K and the conversions have come out distorted. The same EX files exported from Premiere are fine. Not a huge problem as I have worked around it to finish the project but is there any known issues with exporting WAV files?
