Adobe Media Encoder

Hello All!  I am encountering an issue when when exporting H.264 in both AME and PPro.  On Mac or PC,  the export will get to 100% and then just hang there for hours (how long depends on the project length). The preview window and progress bar get all the way to the end and show (100%) 00:00:00:00 remaining, but everything just appears to stop hang. Patience is a virtue and eventually the export finishes, again sometimes after hours of sitting and appearing frozen.  I've been dealing with this since I stopped using Matrox Hardware to encode in 2016 but I know that I cannot be the only still experiening this. There are posts all over the net but no one seems to have come up with a defintitive solution or at least some clarity as to what is going on. Maybe it's not a malfunction at all. Hello, I've spent the last week or so developing out several different .MOGRT templates that will significantly speed up our workflow now that media replacement has been implimented. Today I went to render a set of videos with these templates for the first time, and all of the replaced media renders as offline. The image appears and renders fine when exporting from Premiere, but we put out upwards of 50 videos a month and rendering each individually completely nullifies the reason for using the MOGRTs.  In Premiere it all functions perfectly and appears online, the problems only come when exported through Media Encoder. It looks like this: I tried disabling "Import Sequences Natively", and while that removed the Media Offline error, it also removed the replaced media entirely: Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Duncan

Hi, Got some strange issues over 4 workstations when using h264 HW encoding in either Media Encoder or Premiere Pro, glitches go from no video on a few seconds, sound/image desync to compression glitches. SW encoding works fine every time.All the 4 workstations are running latest CC and Windows updates, B450i- Aorus pro Wifi motherboards, Ryzen 3700x, 32gb of ram in dual channel, 1to of 970 evo Plus ssd, 2 of them running Quadro P400, 2 other ones running GTX 1650, they all have random glitches using HW encoding. There are 2 others computers with different builds (2700x & GTX 1070, 3500x & 3080 ) that don't have this HW encoding issue at all.Any ideas how to fix that ? Thanks.

Hi there, Before you read this, please be aware I am very much a novice so i apologise if the explanation is poor! For quite some time I have been trying to figure out how to convert a file (more specificially, a timer) and encoding it using the HVEC (H.265) setting. I currently edit videos on Lumafusion on my iPad and due to restrictions in place by Apple alpha channels were not supported... until now! Regardless, I have tried converting the original file to HVEC using media encoder (I have access to a full version), however, whenever I import it to the ipad, there's no transparency maintained. As the timer counts down, a line around the edge of the circle disappears in line with the coundown. At 10 second intervals, a white circle appears around the edge momentarily to emphasise the time. Consequently, the alpha channel is very important!  I wanted to reach out to see if I am going massively wrong somewhere. The attached image details the propeties of the ORIGINAL file

Hi,I´am trying to export VR video, using encoder´s VR preset.Source footage - MOV, DNxHR HQ, 19GB 4098x2048, 30fps, 885 Mb/sThe ME shows estimated file size 4,2GB (I increased target bitrate to max 240 and VBR 2 pass)And the result is significantly smaller - 536 MB and horrible quality. (I am using NVIDIA Quadro P2000 and I set the hardware encoding, but software encoding does the same)Any ideas? 

Hi everyone,I have been rendering AE animations through Adobe Media Encoder for awhile now, but I'll admit I don't know the technical aspects of the application very well (i.e. effects, presets, bitrate, etc). I never really needed to know since the process was always easy and straightforward, and I never had any issues. I'd add my composition to AME, choose the destination and rename the file, and hit render. I never messed with the format or video settings, and it was alway set to H.264. However, out of nowhere, whenever I render something (I never touched the settings), the .mp4 file looks horrendous. It's glitchy, the aliasing is the worst I've seen in any .mp4 file, and the animation is skippy and irregular, not smooth.I've attached a screenshot of my render settings. If anyone could tell me how to solve this issue I would really appreciate it. Media encoder 15.1 (mid-April 2021 release) is not functioning correctly on MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon. A sequence that previously took around 18-20 minutes to encode to h.264 is now taking ~3.5 hours. This makes it unusable, which is very disappointing given the performance of Photoshop on the M1 chip. It would be very helpful to fix this before I have to port my projects to Motion. 

I've literally tried 20 different settings suggested for a clear output and nothing works...Left is what it looks like after Media Encoder, right is what it looks like before:I know it's not a perfect video to start, but it's what the client provided. I need the final output to be at least as clear as the original. Why am I getting quality loss? I'm using the latest CC programs on a MacOS Catalina. The Frame rate is 24It's a small sized video so using the Youtube 1080 and 720 settings do not work since they scale the video up in size.

Having a major issue exporting a project out. Exported this several times without any issues with colors and lumetri grades showing up. Yesterday exported a new version and randomly a cluster of 7 clips export with the frames being "grey" washed.Attached are the exported frames with color grade, and then also the export frame, you will know which is which. Done the usuals, delete Previews, Delete Caches, Upgraded to latest versions, delete Lumetri's and re do them.... a bit out of ideas.... Any suggestions or anyone else having this issue?  

Hello guys.I'm using a sony a7 with a rode mic for my bike adventures.When im recording a video and look at the preview on the camera the audio is synced.But when im exporting the files from my card some clips are having audio issues, some have not.The audio is more than 7 seconds earlier than the footage at the end of a clip in some cases.All clips have the same export setttings.Im not running other programs while exporting.Export settings: Video 1920x1080 , 25fps, VBR, 1 controle, 10mbps, max 12mps, Audio AAC, 320 kbps, 48 khz, Stereo Il attached a file to show the problem.Can someone help me out 🙂 

Holy ---   Why is AME so flippin slow to load?    I just restarted my Win10 machine.   AME literally takes more than 5 minutes to load - if it loads at all.    None of the other CC apps behave like this.Are there other software alternatives?Thx in advance.Title was edited by: Mod

Hi, i'm french and my english is not so good, sorry for the mistakes that i can do.Since the update, i can't encode, it always end up in a failure.I have tried both ProRes and h264 format, but nothing seems to work.It shows that error code :-1609629695and I have search some solutions on others posts, but nothing seems to workWithin the error log,  we can see a time code that is always different :and inside my after effect project, at this time code, there is no big deal, just a solid layer with a wiggle expression on it. Can someone help me please ?

Hi!I've been asked to set up our farm so our video guys can render/export from Premiere through Deadline.My understanding is that to able to render Premiere sequences on a farm through Deadline you have to go through Media Encoder.So I've installed AME on a test machine, with its license, tested, launching ME locally and worked as expected.Then we did a test submitting through Deadline and we get a AMEServer Offline error. On the Deadline side everything seems correct, I've double checked with their support, in fact if I run manually the same command that Deadline calls on the test machine I get the same error: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder 2021>ame_webservice_console.exeLaunching web services.  Use --help for options.Starting HTTP service on ip 127.0.0.1, port 8080History will be retained for the most recent 100 jobs.Creating AMEServerAMEServer OFFLINE! I've installed both win and web services as described here ( https://sta

The title says it all. I'm having this weird issue where I have a 78mb mp4 file and I want to lower it to 2mb by lowering the bitrate but the final output only show changes in the video quality but the size is the same? What is happening? Thanks in advance.

One day I'm creating proxies for my videos to able to smoothly edit in Premiere and the next I've lost the version of AME to do so. SO, I unfortunately had to start using Premiere 2021, and NOW the version of AME that works with that will NOT complete the process to create proxies for all of my clips. WHY?! How can I get the version of AME back that worked with Premiere 2019? And what can I do to help my issues with 2021 version of both programs? I just updated them now, so let's see if AME 15.1 completes the proxy creation process...

I admit my system specs are low for motion graphics (i7, 2.60 GHz, 6 cores; GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, and 16 Gb of ram on a Windows 10 Home build 18363) but even so, rendering a video (from After Effects) that has no 3D, no cameras, no lighting effects, no 3rd party plugins takes forever. A full HD project that lasts little under 17 minutes took nearly 13 hours (!) to render. And all I'm doing is keying out a green screen and animating mainly text layers. Rather shocking I'd say.

With 15.0,  I could convert my sample test file of 1080p at 50mbit in 3:10. The GPU would run about 80% and CPU at 5%.  The file is about 7.6GB and 20 minutes long. With 15.1,  it slows it down to just about half 6:03. The GPU would run between 25-70 and CPU at 20-60%. Big step backwards on the speeds. Guessing the Intel sync optimizations messed with the Nvidia ones.  

Media Encoder refuses to render this premier pro project. I've started working a lot with videos recorded during zoom meetings and also recorded using screen-capture software.Premiere and Encoder seem to have a difficult time exporting these files. It will begin the encoding process, then at some point it will just either freeze-up or just fail. Encoder does seem a bit buggy since last couple of  updates as I've had some other issues. But with these zoom/Screen capture videos, the issue is almost 100%. I recently encoded about 24 hours of AVI videos to mp4 with no issues, and some of those files were 12 hours long. I'm trying not to just use Software Only encoding to see if that helps.

Hi forum,I'm using AME CS6 and would like to convert a MOV file to MP4. My format options are F4V, FLV, H.264, H.264 (legacy), and MP3. I tried to export using H.264 and ended up with a 3GP file. Is it possible to export a MP4 file using one of my 5 format options? Or are there additional steps that I'll need to take? If so, what are they?Thanks for your help!
