Best wishes to everyone! I tried a few filters* and selections but am unable to create a smooth-vector-type silhouette so I can remove the image background. From there I want to replace all color so it's a flat-color poster-like image. Rest assued this image is public domain. Thanks - Anita * tried posterize, gaussian, various PS tools.

Hi, I'm looking for a PS CC tut that'll let me scramble words (or letters) and then have them end up grouped in an arrow formation. Like these Finding Nemo clip transtions (1:30 onward) except the fish would be words/letters. Here is my project in print, now I'm trying for it in animation in PPT and social media. TIA.

Hi, I inherited an AI vector logo and can't select all the vector lines. See the light gold on riight which I can't select to change its color. One layer and no masks. Object > Lock is turned off. What am I missing? I'm on AI CC, can't upgrade due to my OS.

Hi, Is there any update to this old info? It seems Animate or Greensock but I'd love to be able to use PS: _______ For complex web animations, look at Animate CC (formerly Flash Pro), but be very careful about file size as these can be awfully heavy. Do not export to Flash (SWF) because Flash is a dead web technology. ______

Hi, I am wondering what challenges I will run into making an interactive PDF registration form for a Word Press membership site: • problems with mobile devices? • is size limited to 8.5 x 11 or can I make it smaller? Hi, I want to import from PhotoShop a JPG 1082x1082 CMYK -- 1.9 MG at 300dpi. I unchecked the PS preference "resize image during place". The file, once imported or placed, displays in AI at approx 400x400px instead of 1082x1082px. I want to keep all the detail I can, so I don't want to scale up, any ideas? When I save the approx 400x400px file in AI format (without my editing the file at all) the small 400x400px saves at 6.3 MG. Any ideas why, and if I am losing quality when importing into AI? This is jewelry and I want to keep as much detail (300dpi) as I can. -Anita PS export preferences : I can't find AI Import Preferences, this is the difference in the "same" file saved PS and AI. Even though I want the file to display at 1082x1082 in AI, it displays closer to 400x400px, depending if I import or place.

A sincere thank you to Abambo​ for supplying the answer hours ago for Kukurykus​ --- so he no longer needed to suffer through struggle/confusion waiting for me to respond: Even so, since then, Kukurykus posted several posts totaling a couple hundred words on my single typo, while every single post from him has multiple typos. To which I reply: I apologize to davescm​ for creating this issue in the first place and am thankful for his PS support -- he was the only one who could answer my question so his support today was huge. Dave, I am having trouble getting results, so this is really two questions: 1) Does Select & Mask work better -- or is it essentially the same -- in PS CC 2018? if so I can upgrade from my Mac PS CC 2017. 2) Is there a better tutorial then the one I'm using, How to Mask Hair Using Photoshop's New "Select and Mask" Feature - YouTube . I have 3 elements I want to select, and then knock out the background to dark brown/black. I was going to follow this tut How to Mask Hair Using Photoshop's New "Select and Mask" Feature - YouTube but I don't know how I can select/mask 3 objects before applying background change. BobLevine​ could you explain why Adobe killed DW for designers? I used to use DW but it became unusable with the text dialogue boxes ruined, than drank the koolaid and went into MU. After much research I am going into WP and using the Perth theme. A WP Meet Up group believes one should use a theme that is free because it then belongs to a true WP cult, and not a company out to make a quick buck. So Perth has a free version and then a pro paid version. I am really screwed with 2 websites to redo, and was in MU from the beginning. When it shouldn't have been launched because there was so much to do with it it wasn't ready. As I said before, I trusted Adobe to deliver and ignored what I now look back on and see as red flags. I followed Barb's advice and exported from Acrobat Pro DC, but went straight to EXPORT > RTF instead of through Word first. If I need to I'll go back and redo it through Word. It seems to work well enough for what I need, although it will be tedious to reformat 12 pages. I don't trust the third party plug-ins because the formatting required is beyond basic. What a mess. Thanks everyone.

Thanks Barb, I see the Word Doc would give it tons of extra formatting but then that is all stripped with converting to the Rich Format. Why is that preferable to just cut and paste inside Acrobat Pro? Quark files are quite old and not tagged. Alternately I can cut and paste from Acrobat Pro into Illustrator first, I think AI strips formatting too. Not sure about that, just seems to be my experience.
