Not playing work progress using space bar in after effect its jjust stuck and automatically closing

This is a question which has been asked before, but as far as I can see, hasn't been answered satisfactorily.So i have a rectangle that I have drawn in a shape layer, and I want to stroke this using the stroke effect, as I need to scale the shape and I've found that the standard stroke within a shape layer scales when you transform the layerBut, with it being a shape path, and a parametric shape path at that, I can't copy/paste that shape as a mask.At this point, @Todd_Kopriva   usually pops up to copy/paste the following:"command for converting a parametric shape layer path to a Bezier path:You can convert a parametric path to a Bezier path after the parametric path has already been created by context-clicking (right-clicking or Control-clicking on Mac OS) the property group for the parametric path (e.g., Rectangle Path 1) and choosing the Convert To Bezier Path command from the context menu. I'm trying to create a mogrt (1st time). It's just simple text with a few formatting controls and "in" and "out" animations. I know I've seen the info I'm looking for somewhere but I can't find it. I'm trying to educate myself on it but I don't know the right terms to search for. I'm happy with everything in my mogrt, EXCEPT: when I bring it into Premiere, I can't change the time duration of it to make it longer. Shorter, yes of course, by simply trimming the mogrt clip in the timeline back. HOWEVER, this just gets rid of the "out" animation I have at the end of the mogrt. How can I create a text mogrt with "in" and "out" animations that can be extended or shortened to whatever time duration I like in the Pr timeline, AND automatically moves the "out" animation to the end of the graphic, no matter how long or short it is? Currently the comp in Ae that I'm creating the mogrt in is 6 seconds long. I'm sure there are multiple tutorials out there for this already. I've seen

Is it possible to rotoscope some text that has 3D tracker effect applied to it?If not what is the best way to mask this text to give it the illusion that it is going through the door. 

I have a precomp of Fractal Noises that move from left to right across the screen using the Offset Turbulence setting while also evolving. I found the Evolution Cycle setting and figured that out, but with the Offset Turbulence active, it, of course, jumps back to its original position near the left side of the comp when the playback repeats. Is there a way to loop this seamlessly in the effect's settings, or will I have to manage that with duplicating/trimming the layers in the work area?

Hello guys, I've been looking for answers all over the internet but I think maybe my idea is not possible in AE. So basically, the animation I want to do is the text will start with a wider width like the screenshot below And then animate to this shorter width version I did the source text animation but it wasn't smooth enough.  Hope you can help me with this. Thank you!

I have some text using the 3D tracker effect and an emboss effect. The text layer underneath is acting as a drop shadow. The dropshadow is showing through though, I've checked the layer above and there is no opacity turned down so am unsure what is causing this.

After a long search I have not found the way to reach this. I can't believe adobe doesn't have a scripting way to do this. Have anyone found a way? It would really help to speed up the output process.I'd like to have one button for still image and another one for sequences.Cheers!

I have a Windows 10 system with 128gb of RAM and dual nvidia Titan RTX video cards connected via NVLink. Each card has 24gb of VRAM. First, when starting the most current release of After Effects, I received this notification.  Similar notifications have happened before, so I updated my display drivers to the latest nvidia Studio Driver and restarted. I did not receive the notification, but when attempting to create a composition from a video clip, I received this notification as After Effects crashed.I checked the Discussion forums and did not identify a solution for this, so I posted there. I then uninstalled After Effects and reinstalled. No change. Attempted to create a composition from a video clip, instant crash. I uninstalled After Effects, reinstalled the nvidia Studio Driver, reinstalled After Effects and removed all plugins (of which none were loaded). Same result, different number.I uninstalled After Effects. I removed all After Effects folders

Hello,As you can see in the picture bellow there are little squares on the side of the bounding box and not on the top and the bottom. I want to adjust the height of all these keyframes together and i cant. Does someone know why?

Every time I close a second project panel, it resizes the size panels rather than the main locked project panel where I'm viewing the main comp. This causes me to have to drag and resize the size panels. Does anyone know how to force the side panels to stay the same size and the main comp project panel to expand and fit the space? Thanks much! 

For some reason, every time I select a shape object, the entire composition is selected, instead just the shape. It also doesn't "auto select" each layer like it normally would. I have another composition open and it selects the shape objects just fine. I'm not sure if I accidentally changed something or not. Even when I select "Composition - Retain Layer Sizes", it doesn't work. The first image is the issue. The second image is what I want.

I had an animation that ran smoothly but I must have made an unintended change because when I went back to play it, a portion of it no longer was visible. I clicked into the composition causing issues and noticed that only one layer [atom core-02] was visible when I clicked play despite having no issues before. Does anyone know what I mgiht have done or how to try and fix this? 

I am getting this error message while rendering the video in a particular point only, everything goes smooth and suddenly the error appears and says restart AE or your Pc and this is not helping me.I am already late to submit my work to my client please help. asap

I have a threadipper machine with 128Gb of fast memory and over 1Tb M.2 fast disc cache.Graphics drivers are up-to-date and so is AE.It's driving me mad that whenever AE starts to cache to memory (green line) my mouse and system pause on and off, stopping me working. It's new and very annoying. Adobe Help!

In After Effects, when trying to select the output module or save location of a composition in the renderlist, the program freezes. When instead starting the render in Media Encoder, I get an error report and ME crashes. I have tried almost everything you can think of to troubleshoot this: -Hardware acceleration off-Cache emptied-Safe mode-Preferences and Plugins reset-Opened AE as admin-Software-rendering activated-AE/ME reinstalled & different version-Used GPU changed from dedicated to internal-Automatic destinations deleted Interestingly, this problem does not occur when using the beta version of After Effects. AE version: 25.1 (also tested 24.1)OS: Windows 11 ProRAM: 16GBGPU: NVIDIA T500CPU: 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7

Hello! I'm trying to achieve this 3D border/edge effect with a kind of 'light sweep' without using plugins or extensions. However, most resources I find online suggest using Layer Style > Stroke, which seems quite limited for this effect. Any ideas on how to achieve this look? thanks!

I have prepared a graphic with layers in adobe illustrator and want to load it into after effect. Unfortunately when I import the graphic by selecting "new composition from footage" the graphic loses a lot of quality. I import the layers but they lose terribly - it looks like a very, very pixelised graphic. I reainstall all app, cleaned memory and still doesnt work. Do you have an idea? 

Whenever i apply the lumetri color effects this happens...I've never had this problem before and I've been using AE for more than 2 years now, any solutions ?

I was editing, but when I went to go save the project somehow s_shake went missing but its in the files of After Effects but not showing up in After Effects itself, I tried unintall it and then reinstall, I still have the same issue.

Hey all, first off, is anyone else experiencing this issue, and, second, can anyone reproduce it if they haven't tried exporting PNGs yet? Ever since updating to Ae 22.1.1, I can't export single PNGs or PNG sequences anymore. If I revert back to 22.0.1, everything works fine again. Update to 22.1.1 and it breaks. Revert to 22.0.1 and it works. I can do this multiple times on four different machines and it breaks/works every. single. time.Since I can reproduce this issue, repeatedly on multiple machines, I can only assume that 22.1.1 has a PNG bug that needs to be addressed. If anyone else can confirm (or tell me the fix besides reverting back and waiting for the next version) I would appreciate it. I've attached the three errors that pop up, in order, and all of them pop up on all four machines, on any Ae project file, that we try to export PNGs from.Thanks!
