After Effects

During the preview video Current Time Indicator (CTI) is not moving, but the thing that move is that Redline, does anyone know how to fix it? it is so annoying to see that Redline.

Bug: On Windows, After Effects fallback fonts are broken for 5 major international character languages: Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hebrew, and Korean.   When After Effects encounters these fonts, it uses "Myriad Pro" as a fallback font which does not contain characters for these languages. After Effects displays blank, missing text and it appears broken and empty. The text does not appear unless user manually changes to a font with supporting unicode characters. This bug is also in MOGRTs exported from AE / imported in PPro.   This bug is not present on Mac devices, and the languages correctly use the following fallback fonts on Mac: Arabic: Damascus Persian: Damascus Urdu: Damascus Hebrew: Arial Korean: Apple Gothic   The languages below display correctly on Windows with their appropriate fallback fonts: Chinese: Meiryo Japanese: Meiryo Hindi: Adobe Devanagari Bengali: Nirmala UI Telugu: Nirmala UI Russian: Myriad Pro -------------------------------------

I have a new desktop PC (Intel Core Ultra i7, 64GB RAM, 2TB M.2. drive and 16GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX5070Ti), and the latest version of After Effects. I am using content aware fill to remove people from some drone footage. The clip is about 22 seconds long. I created a mask consisting of 7 nodes. It tracks the nodes perfectly quickly, at 1-2 frames per second. However, when I click Generate Fill Layer, while the first few dozen or even hundred frames seem to be quick, it slows down to an absolute crawly, taking over a minute per frame. It's a 4K 60FPS clip, and AE is having to render 1308 frames, but it's already taken about 3 hours to do 900. I did a sample on a 1-second clip and it was done in under a minute!? I have 48% of my RAM free, and CPU is currently running at 10-15% load. Disc activity is also low. I have two GPUs - the integrated and NVIDIA. The integrated is down at only a few percent, and the NVIDIA fluctuates between 1% and 10%, with only 6.7GB of RAM used. I

My PC has a crash on work and after that After Effects don't open more my project, this never been happened with me.I try some solutions like scannow on CMD, drag my project into a new project, reinstalling the program. But nothing works.I have a modest PC: I3 10100RX580SSD Sandisk Nvme 500gb

I’ve noticed that some people say AE tends to run smoother and crash less often on macOS, while others argue that Windows machines give you more flexibility with hardware and performance.For those of you who’ve worked on both platforms, what’s been your experience? Hello, I currently use CC and AE in my work PC computer and have projects there that I have been working on. After months of not being able to use CC apps like AI, PS, and AE, I was now able to download those apps specifically AE on my Macbook Pro M4 that is my personal computer. The adobe account is my own, but when I went and opened AE, my projects that was in my AE in my work computer is not on this app... how can I transfer or sync?

Overlod not transfering objects I think since I updated Ae2025. I am working on MacStudio M1 Max. Any ideas? 

So today for some unknow reason I am getting "Adobe After Effects error code 19972" and nothing will export. I used After Effects yesterday no issue. Now every project is giving me this error. I uninstalled After Effects and reinstalled it. Does anyone know what to do to fix this error. Beyond Frustrated right now and need to get this project exported with the finishing touches.

  I'm working on a composition in After Effects and a png layer of a bird with effects gets cut off at full resolution in (see image it's to the left and shows up just as black triangle), but is fully visible and working effects in half resolution (see image ) . Could someone please me resolve this issue?  

Hey there, I feel like I've been living under a rock but finally got to look into why it is possible that some people can create animation presets that look like 'plugins' but work natively. So I discovered the beautiful but seemingly incredibly clunky world of pseudo effects and I want to create my own.   I've been looking for tutorials but while I can get them to work by altering the PresetEffects.xml in the install or by using a trial version of PseudoEffectMaker, I don't understand how to pack them into an ffx so they can be opened and used anywhere without other dependencies.   Does anyone know of a resource that explains the process fully in a way a non script savvy person can follow?   I also feel that the entire mechanism should be a complete native integrated feature in AE itself with friendly UI/UX directly in the software. It all started today when I tried to open a project that included the Zoom - Rotate 2D expression and from then on I couldn't find a way to get it to work again. Hi,Every time i try to apply the advanced 3D to any layer (f.e. a solid or even text) , it says this:"advanced 3d plugin generated an unexpected exception" and then after effects closes/crashes. I tried a couple things but nothing worked. My project opened fine a few days ago, but today it gave an error and won't open at all. I think some of the issues involved installing fonts and a new version of After Effects. I'm so frustrated. Hi,   Can someone help me? Advanced 3D does not appear on my After Effects. I have an RX 6600. I have the impression that the software does not recognize my GPU.

Multi frame rendering now crashes consitently on my PC, tells me that my gpu runs out of ram.I have a RTX 5090.

I now open the project and it crashes after a while. Sometimes it crashes directly. My driver is the latest version, and AE is also the latest version. I don’t know what the problem is, so I can only come here for help.

Just this morning when I tried to double-click a comp in my timeline to open it (like I have a hundred times before) it doesn't open it. Instead it brings it into the window like it was footage.However, If I right-click and goto "Open Comp" it works fine, it just takes far longer. Any idea how to change it back?

How do I conform my 4:3 or 16:9 video to form a circle? I am not talking about cropping a circle in or out of my video. I am talking about changing the shape of my video so that the edges smoothe out to circular, the video distorts accordingly, and forms a cirlce in my sequence space. I have tried spherize, but it doesn't really do what I am looking to do.  I have a camera angle upshot from the middle of a football huddle.  I am trying to actually convert the video to a 360 degree video.  I figured out how to fake a 180 degree video, and I also figured out that I can take the video and put it in Action Director and it will automatically populate into a 360 degree space..BUT when it does os, it looks kind of like a stretched pringle chip with straight edges on the left and right and that has corners that pinch.  What I want is the video to drape down around me with the bottom edge being a 360 degree circle.  I can move the video to the top of my 360 degree space

Hi,   I have an after effects file I have been working on for a client. I just had the client on to run through final amends on a 5 minute film and I am getting the error message: AFTER EFFECTS WARNING: YUR PROJECT FILE IS APPARANTLY DAMAGED (SKIPPED SECTIONS: 😎 PLEASE SAVE USING A DIFFERENT NAME. ( 26 :: 0 )   I have looked all over google for a solution but can't find one. I have no backups to fall back on as I had been working on it from home. I tested the file yesterday at work and it worked fine so I then deleted the back up from my hard drive which obviously I now regret.   If anyone had any ideas of how I can recover a weeks worth of work I will be forever grateful.   Many thanks,   Paul.   PS if more information is required please ask.   [Moderator: Moved to the After Effects forum]
