Hi,I have a new problem. I'm using Adobe dynamic link in Premiere quite often, and it almost always works just fine. Today, I used it just as always, and suddenly, the imported footage into AE got really overexposed. I tried to import the same footage directly to AE (without Premiere), and I had the same problem. It is not possible to work with it. Even when I tried to dial it down with Lumetri color, it didn't work. Those whites behave like they are just blown out. But they are not as you can see at screenshots. It is footage from A7IV in Slog3 (it does the same with LUTs on it).

In After Effects Beta 26 on Windows 11, when I use a protected region marker and scroll the timeline, the left side takes the color of the first protected region marker. It disappears weirdly when I hover my mouse.The behavior starts when I scroll the timeline to the right, where the layers or timeline go behind the left panel or layer properties panel. At that moment, the panel takes the first marker/protected region label color, and hovering my mouse over it makes the color vanish at that spot.I can also draw on it in circles to try to remove it faster, but it behaves inconsistently. 

Hi! I have this error come up when using AE 25.5. It's been days and I've been through the basics of troubleshooting to no avail. When I go open up the software, the splash screen doesnt pop up. Instead a series of pop up messages come up. When following the prompts of these pop ups all windows close and the application doesnt open. I'm not trying to open a file. I'm having an issue with AE where it clips my white values when I put any effect (exposure, hue/sat, etc) on my layers. Even negative exposure of -.01 will suddently clip the whites. It's like it turns it into 8bit instead of its native 32.Project color settings are OCIO Aces 1.3/32 bit / working linear ACEScg.,Sequence is a 32bit ACEScg exr, interpreted as ACEScg,viewport display is set to sRGB Display/ACES 1.0 - SDR Video (tried others too). Also tried None and have been  using the OCIO display transform on an adjustment layer.Raw Sequences look great, but when I put an effect (like exposure) on some sequences directly, I notice whites get capped with barely any adjustment, even negative adjustment of exposure.Weird: I can buffer the entire animation with capped (wrong looking) whites, and in the OCIO Display Transform effect, if I hit 'reset' it will 'fix' the entire sequence once. So it looks perfect. If I adjust a single thing, it re-caps all whites. Hitting reset again fixes

When I open After Effects, I get this message:“Please connect to the internet as soon as possible so the license can be activated (101). adobe premiere premium replace with after effects composition, and then the footage turn black turn black.when I check in adobe after effect there is no footage. how to fix it?

Been using AE 2024 and eventually earlier versions of 2025 for a long running project. We've been using EXR renders from Unreal Engine and using eXtractor and cryptomattes. It's all been fine until the latest After Effects updates where using EXRs became basically unusable. It takes forever for AE to show any EXR frames, trying to preview anything is a nightmare, and trying to render an EXR sequence takes incredibly long. Ae has been great up until these last few updates and is now basically completely useless with EXRsI have 2 desktop PCs, both run Win11. (yes, Windows and GPU drivers etc are all up to date.)One has an AMD 5800x CPU + RTX3080 tiThe other Intel i7 9700k CPU + RTX3080For both desktops, the projects and files are one one nvMe SSD and all AE caching is to another nvMe SSDAfter Effects now absolutely sucks on both systemsAny advice to get After Effects back to a usable state with EXRs would be appreciated

Hi everyone,I’m running into a Dynamic Link issue between Premiere Pro and After Effects. In Premiere, I select a single clip in the timeline and choose “Replace with After Effects Composition.” After Effects opens, asks me to save a new .aep, creates a new composition—but the composition is empty. The selected Premiere clip does not appear inside the comp. Back in Premiere, the timeline item links to that AE comp, but since it’s empty, there’s no media.I’ve tried to make sure I’m selecting a normal video clip (not an adjustment layer or an empty track). In some cases it might be nested or multicam. I verified the clip has real duration, tested in a fresh project where it sometimes works, cleared media caches in both apps, killed the Adobe Dynamic Link Manager process and rebooted, saved the .aep to a simple local path, disabled hardware acceleration temporarily, turned proxies off, removed effects from the clip, and confirmed that both Premiere Pro and After Effects are on the same ma

Issue - When I animate the "amount" property for turbulent displace, when the effect is applied to a layer, the layer snaps to a transformed (literally position and scale) state exactly when the interpolation finishes. Steps to reproduce -  Apply Turbulent displace to a layer in a comp that is readied to be exported as a MOGRT from essential graphics. Animate the "amount". This happened for any values I tried, but lately I've been trying from 50 to 0 over about 1 second. In many cases, the debugger comes up with a line number that does not exist. (e.g. an error on line 71, while the expression consists of 69 lines). It's hard to say when exactly this problem shows up, but it occurs a lot, so I guess more users have experienced this behaviour.

Hi, I'm using AE on a PC. When I use Roto Brush 3.0 and mask a person with say a white background the mask only lasts for 2 frames before selecting the whole screen. When I change the selection to Roto Brush 2.0, it renders properly. I've tried multiple videos. I've tried reinstalling. But I still get this issue which means I can't use roto brush 3.0.  Are there any suggestions to fix this? Thanks,  Dom

Hey team, This has been bugging me for a long time - when you right click in premiere > make after effects composition, the playhead inside of that comp will eventually stop moving. It might not be on the first playback, or the third, but after swapping back to premiere and back to AE a few times, eventually the playhead just ceases to exist. The only way to fix it is to shut down After Effects and reopen the project again, but then as soon as you link another comp from premiere to AE, it happens again and then you need to shut down and restart again. Quite annoying, hopefully this gives you enough information to reproduce it! AE version 25.5Windows 11 OS - Learn How to Edit Stuff

Hello,I am running 25.4. This problem started somtime between now and May of this year, because this problem was not present prior to that time. On different EXR sequences that were rendered out using VRay, I am seeing some frames in the sequence are not being fully rendered, which is causing major problems in creating video animations from these sequences. I have tried the sequences in a different project with no effects and get the same result. The EXR sequences are 1920x1080. In one sequence I have narrowed down the problem to one particular frame. When I import this EXR file into AE, it imports like always but the full frame of the image is not rendered.This report form is lame because it does not allow uploading of zip files nor EXR files, and since I work for a company I can't be posting links to files on external file sharing sites. Hello, i tried to switch my 3d renderer from classic to advanced 3d to extrude shapes, but it immidiately crashes every time i'm trying to do it. Classic 3d render works fine though. To fix this problem i tried: clear all types of cache 1 by 1; update my NVIDIA drivers; deleted and reinstalled my NVIDIA drivers, disabled CUDA in AE, deleted and reinstalled AE multiple times with different versions from 25.1 to 25.3 and none of this helped. However earlier i could use Advanced 3d renderer in my projects and import 3d objects into them.My PC specs - xeon e5 2680v4 and GeForce GTX 1650 Super. Also I do not use any plug-ins. What can i do else?
