I know there are workarounds here, but man oh man how is it still limited only to 400%? What happens when you need to get really fine tuned on an 8k comp? Woof.

I have a video in Premiere and, in order to keep color profile, I'm creating a nested duplicate of the video clip. Then I create a new project in After Effects, and I import the Premiere Pro Sequence. This works fine. I can see the clip is there. But, when I drag that clip down to create a new composition, it doesn't appear in the timeline. I just get a black screen and can't view anyting. I have done this before without any issues. I don't know why it's suddenly not working - and I have no clue where to go from here.

Hi community. Is it possible when duplicating layers, to have the layer one on top, then the rest will stack in numeric order? When Im duplicating this shape, Im making a lot of layers, number one goes down the bottom, then number 2 on top of it. Then I need to restack them from one going on the top, then manually stacking each numbers accordingly. is there an option for the layers to descend numerically? Im doing the sequence layers method, and my animation is in reverse due to the layer numbers not descending, thats why Im asking for this information.Thank you.     

Hi. I've been trying to open after effects for ages now and I cannot seem to find a solution. I have looked up on google how to solve it, which includes going into the MediaCore file. However, when I managed to find where the folder is and clicked on it, there was nothing but a "dummy.txt" file that says "#Dummy file installed in the MediaCore folder." And I am very confused...I have also tried to uninstall the whole creative cloud , including all the adobesoftwares that I use by using Adobe's cleaner app, which also ended up not working as well.I also tried to find the duplicate plugins that the software listed out for me, but when I went to go look for the files, I could not find any duplicates like the list says except for the original plugins. Does that mean I have to just delete the original files that are listed on there even if I don't see any duplicates?                  I'm on MacOS Ventu

Noise Default effect is missing in the latest After Effects update on my computer. All the project I created with older AE versions report the effect as missing. Checked in the Effects&Presets panel and the effect doesn't appear (printscreen attached). Anyone else noticing the same issue? 

Roto Brush is acting really weird with this specific clip. After I make the first selection, I can't select or deselect anything unless I switch back and forth between versions. For example, I can make a selection with version 2.0, and I can only change the selection if I switch to version 3.0, then switch back to version 2.0. Switching between any of the versions yields the same results. The clip is pre-composed because that's how it was when I found this. I tested it without pre-comp and it does the same thing. This is a linked composition with Premiere. I tried making a new, unlinked, composition and it ended up working just fine then. So, it could be an issue with dynamic link but I don't know. I'm fine with creating a parallax effect by setting layers to 3D and modifying the z-position etc... but what if all those layers are inside a pre-comp? I've set all the layers to 3D etc... and also set the precomp itself to 3D, but then when I move the camera, the precomp looks 'flattened' and the parallax effect is lost. There is quite a lot going on in the animation Im creating so it would be good to split certain bits into precomps... but does a parallax not work like this?

Thanks for reading. I've loaded a template I downloaded and when I open it, I get the following message asking me to migrate the settings as the template was created on an older version of AE, which is fine, but I can't find the button! 😞  I found another thread similar to my issue, but the link marked as "correct answer" on the thread no longer works sadly, so I'm unable to follow it, but after reading the comments I have clicked everything in the timeline and opened every > under "effect controls" yet can see no "migrate settings" button on anyting; and can't see "particular" anywhere at all! (I can see "particle animation switch" and "particle random speed"). but again, no "migrate settings" button.)  For the record I do have Trapcode Particular installed. I then assembled everything in After Effects, adding lots of animation keys (with rotations on all three axes, precompositions, etc.).However, I now need to upscale everything to 4K. This means I have to re-import my TVPaint animation frames at twice their size, which alters all the animation keys in After Effects. Using CTRL+ALT+F to adapt to the new format doesn’t work because I sometimes intentionally scaled elements beyond the frame.Do you have any idea how I could scale my entire file to double its size, while also doubling all the animation keys across all layers?Thank you, I hope I’ve explained it clearly enough...
