After Effects

Hey, i have a big problem with all my CC and i don't know why, since i solve the problem of mojo II parasytes I have now a pb for rendering. It takes a lot of time for just a render of 15s of video. If someone have the solution i'm open to it because it annoys me a lot.

fig 1. is before adding the invert effect,fig 2. is after adding the invert effect, the whole thing goes black instead of being inverted. Changing the channels doesn't fix the problem.I tried doing it to a regular layer, and then to a pre-composed layer/composition. Doesn't solve it either. Does anyone have any idea what the issue is?

This one is for the After Effects developers:I have never posted to Adobe's community page before, but the ridiculous amount of lag and delay caused by a simple text layer in After Effects has enraged me to the point of making this post. Why on God's green Earth does a text layer cause so much of a delay in After Effects. Is it a processing issue? Is it because there are text animators programmed into those layers? Why?!I am currently working on a project that only requires me to type in some text into a text layer, and each time I type a word or change a spelling error it takes literal minutes for the change to be applied. TO TEXT!! Why?! I am typing directly into After Effects too, no other programs.So I beg you, for the love of all that is holy and just, please make the Text layers more optimized. Forget your generative tools, I just want to be able to type a message and edit the text in real time, without my whole computer bogging down to the point of shut down.Please and than

I am trying to create a 3D scene with light leaks, and some CC effects. Any time I add a few effects to the timeline, it crashes on me. I've done the usual things like clearing cache, making sure everything is updated, restarting the PC, etc. Nothing is helping. The machine I am working on was built last year and contains an Intel® Core™ i9-13900KS Processor, 128gb DDR5 ram, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. Please give me any help. I have a deadline I'm missing because of this.

Hi, I have a 3D object that I want to continuously bob up and down but I'm having trouble finding an expression to do this.I would use wiggle on the Z except wiggle creates random motion and I need consistant up and down oscillations.It seems simple but I can't figure it out... any ideas? Hello, I have a very specific issue for an mogrt animation.So i have a box that grow horizontally, then a text appear in it. I need to have that box growing at the same size than my text (So First key frame will always be the same, but the last one will change).I can do it in after effect with the Essential Graphics panel but as soon i export in mogrt to use in premiere, the growing animation don't happend. The box just stay at the final size, removing the growing part. Is there a way to make it in y way to keep that growing animation ? Thanks !

Reporting After Effects 2025 crashed again today killing my bluetooth Windows 11. I9 128GB ram 2040This version is crashing and causing me to lose work. Very frustrating for how much money it costs and released in such terrible state. It won't render if you have any optical flow blending turned on any layer.Screen goes black constantly and very laggyCrash, Crash Crash.These are all the same projects that render and work fine in 2024, so full blame here on the recent update.

Hi all, I have a 9x16 composition. The adjustment layer is just as big as the comp size. There aren't any masks being used. The ground level on CC Snowfall is set to 100% the entire time. Yet, the effect stops short of bottom of the comp. It might be a bit hard to see, but there's quite a bit of solid space at the bottom. Does any know what could be causing this? 

ok here's the deal... This is a thing that also happens in Photoshop and it's annoying (and pretty much useless): Let's say I create a new project with the name "Hello" and I save it. Then I modify it or add new stuff and I save it with the name "Bye". But, when I do that, instead of keeping open the version that I just saved (the file named as "Bye"), the original project ("Hello") remains open, so If I continue to modify it and save it, ofc it overwrites the original project instead of the second version I created Is there a way to revert that or modify that somehow? Perhaps for some people, this new way of saving makes sense, but in the workflow where I work at, it's pretty annoying and has caused a lot of trouble. All of my coworkers have accidentaly rewritten a file this way or modified the original project instead of the new version so... yeah

I just built a new computer with an Intel i9 14900k processor, Z790 motherboard, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, full liquid cooling, etc. Everything benchtests well and the computer is extremely stable unless I am working with blurs in After Effects 2025. Any time I apply Camera Lens Blur or even regular motion blur to a layer, the computer just comletely turns off without warning. It ONLY happens when using specific blurs. Fast Blur seems to be fine, as well as gaussian blur. So far it's just camera lens blur and adding regular motion blur to a moving layer. Everything else on the computer, from games to Premiere, works totally fine. I turned off hardware acceleration. All drivers for the computer and related components have the latest updated drivers, etc. Is anyone else having this issue? It seems like there's something wrong with After Effects, but I'd happily take any advice. I do not have this issue on my Macbook Pro, only on my Windows PC. Than

I'm trying to set up a script that "If" a file is selected, then do something on it, if not, I'd like to throw an error to do something else.I'm setting up the variable Selected Duration that polls the duration of a selected item (for the A side of the logic), but if nothing is selected, it throws an error.There is an alert that comes up in the library tab and in the console "execution result:"please select exactly one project item in the project panel (line 1)"". I just want to do something actionable based on this result to fix it since users might not see either of these alerts. Problem is, I can't seem to find check if something is selected or not. Maybe I'm going about this all wrong by testing the duration of a selection, but I can't figure a way to test if something is selected or not. Any recommendations on how to solve this would be, as always, appreciated.

After I updated to the latest release of After Effects (last week) I get these warnings for all footage in my project file whenever I alt-tab between AE and other apps.Its getting quite annoying... The project works fine whenever Im inside AE, but I have to click through these warnings every time I leave the AE-window.The warning says;After Effects warning: Unable to open file."footage path". If the file is opened in another application, closing it may solve the problem.None of my footage-files are opened in other apps.Please help - Phillip

I wrote several scripts, they worked successfully, at one point some functions stopped working, for example, when you click on a button nothing happens.Moreover, the same script works on another computer.I turned off the antivirus, ran After Effects with admin rights, nothing helps.Help, because I don't know what to do anymore

Hi everyone! AE 23.6.5 (build 4) crashes as soon as I apply the CC Radial Blur to any kind of layer. I've tried reinstalling this version and it keeps crashing. I've downgraded to 23.0 and it works perfectly. Intel processor i7 1070064gb RAM ddr4GPU Radeon RX 580 8gb  What could it be?

Hola, quise descargar After Effects desde mi cuenta con suscripción y me encontré con la sorpresa de que me pone que "Mi sistema es incompatible" Pense que era por tener la ultima version de Windows 10, por lo tanto, hace 1hs formateé y me instale el Windows 11 ultima version, la cual en los requerimientos de After Effects dice que funciona, y ni aún así me deja descargarlo, necesito ayuda urgente porfavor! 

This is a collaboration with a youtuber NJM Photo who has been using a motion control to film models with amazing results. We've worked together to create an action sequence set in the Briar Patch from Star Trek: Insurrection. The Enterprise enters the Briar Patch, passes through some nebula clouds, is attacked by the So'Na before coming about to strike back. It was a fun sequence to create and you can see the results here: https://youtu.be/6ZNjEqVNQtc   In the tutorial, after explaining how this video came about, I start by using the rotobrush tool to cut out the Enterprise from the blue background. Then I use this as a Track Matte for the beauty pass shot. This cuts out the starship but removes any concerns over spill. Next I take the lighting pass and use the Levels effect to darken the background and brighten the lights, before separating the nacelles to enhance them further with a glow. Unfortunately 23.0 did not fix the issue for me on my M1 mac. It still only renders 2 frames at a time and gives the same error. If I revert back to version 22.4 it works perfectly but any subsequent update (including the 23.0 just released) has the playback issue.Update: version 24.0 working much better!I had various results with updates 23.1-23.6, most of them still occasionally having the issue saying it's out of memory or even black frames when rendering. It didn't matter if I had all plugins removed, fresh install, and no other programs running. I just updated to v24.0 and instantly started working like it used to before v23.0. RAM previews are loading right away and playing back in realtime speeds. I'll update if anything changes but so far they seem to have fixed the issues plaguing v23+ at least for me.
