After Effects

So, a script I was developing was working fine yesterday, but today, it seems like my Array built-in object is broken. I tried restarting After Effects to reset the environment, but it's still broken. So far, I've identified that "map", "includes", and "split" are broken, though "shift" is fine. I don't have any custom startup scripts. I've attached a simple .txt file that demonstrates this error for me, though I'm guessing it would work normally. Just rename it to .jsx and run it yourself. OS: MacOS Big Sur v11.4AE: v18.4.0 build 41

I've been asked to upscale a comp I made from 4K to 8K and I used the scale comp script but some effects are now giving me image buffer errors, namely optics compensation, which refuses to do a 4X stretch when working inside of an 8K composition. I can render it with a 2X stretch, but the composition is not the same.    Anyone got any clever workarounds? This is 24.6.3

Hello,I would like to preview audio waveforms on video or audio files in AE before putting them in comp. When I double click A/V files in the project panel they open and I can't see any waveform. I checked everywhere to search an option for it but I could not find anything to achieve this simple and stupid thing. Is it impossible in the footage panel ? thanks,Etienne

I seem to be having trouble with my Trapcode Mir plugin. I had been working on a Mir project a couple weeks ago, took some time off, and now anytime I move the cursor, I get this error: after effects error: MIR: OpenGL error: Could not allocate texFBO (512) ( 25 :: 241 ).The Mir form also visually looks different. The 'mountains' I had created now look like some empty geometric vector shapes.I tried reinstalling the mir plugin, though I'm not sure how to uninstall it first. I'm relatively new to AE, so it's very possible I'm missing something obvious. Also, I'm still using CS6, Version 11.0.0.378 and I'm working in Windows 7 64bit with 32Gb of ram, 3.5Ghz X4, and an Nvidia Quadro K2200 graphics card that was having problems until I reseated it a few days ago.I'm not sure what else to try. HelloMy after effects program recently started changing when my rendering is done. Whenever the render queue is finished, AE force-opens the program. To give an example, I am usually browsing the internet while waiting for my rendering to be finished, and it's quite annoying for my screen (for example when watching a video on full screen) to be interrupted by the whole After Effects window force-opening on my computer, when the rendering is done. I hope this makes sense, and if it does, please send me the solution 🙂 Thank you in advance.

Hello, i have encountered very weird behaviour from Magic Bullet Looks. Before yesterday Looks was working as intended, but since then, some tools have stopped working. For example: Mojo2, Contrast, Exposure, ..., are working fine, but Film Negative, Film Print, Clarity, Shadows/Highlights, LUT, have stopped working.  What do i mean with stopped working? I can apply the effect, but regardless of parameters, the image doesnt change. LUT has a weird behaviour in which it displays the correct preview image, when selecting presets, but when applying the preset, the image stays the same. What did i already try?- Change to older versions of After Effects- Update AMD GPU Drivers- Test older project in which i used the effects (they were broken there aswell)- Update Magic Bullet Suite Has anyone encountered a similar error?Or has anyone, any ideas or fixes for this? (In deep despair) Thanks!

Working on my stop motion animation thesis and I've been stuck trying to figure out how to motion track the green markers on my puppets face. I've tried the in built motion tracker and using mocha, but both of those stop tracking pretty quickly. ive also tried isolating just the motion tracking markers individually and cannot get it to work. I asked a professor versed in after effects and he said I was doing everything right and he couldn't get it to work either. Can anyone help? I googled for my question, yet I couldn't find a solution that fits my needs … I have a short composition that I'd like to run repeatedly in another composition. I.e., I'd like to loop the nested composition in an outer composition: However, all the solutions I found so far don't work for me. Time Remapping doesn't work. Re-interpret footage doesn't work, too. How can I loop a nested composition in an outer composition?

This is a big WTF for me.I have a text layer. I center-align the text in it. The moment I add an expression to its Source Text (even the default text.sourceText) it becomes left-aligned and REFUSES to go to center-aligned. Huh?! This seems like a very common thing, so what am I missing? Is there something else I need to do in the expression to get it to be center aligned?Thanks!

Hi! I animate a human character. There are a lot of keyframes (legs, hands, head, etc.) since the comp is 6000 keyframe long. Now if I want to focus on some specific movement it is very hard because I see the motion paths of all the keyframes. Is it possible to see the paths only for selected keyframes or the ones in the workspace only?

 Can you see the parameters underneath the layers? This issue goes back as far as 10 years, do you really care about the user's feelings? Have you been arrogant enough to ignore this issue for 10 years because you think users have no other choice but you?

I've been working on video editing, specifically trying to remove a green screen background. However, I've encountered a problem where my subject, who's wearing a greenish jacket, becomes somewhat see-through during this process. To tackle this issue, I'm using the roto brush and auto-trace features to create a mask around my subject. However, when I try to apply this mask to the Keylight effect, it doesn't seem to work as expected. Despite searching online for solutions to this problem, I haven't found any helpful information. I'm really in need of assistance with this issue.

Hi all, need help with a really strange problem.I just bought a new MSI Titan, it came with Windows 11 but I upgraded (not a mistake) to Windows 10. Now I'm getting all my apps set up, and to my bewilderment an old installer that I have for AfterEffects 2019 opens, but it gets stuck on "Loading..."This is a file I got straight from Adobe, and it works on two others machines with the same OS, so I'm at a loss for why I can't get it to install on this new one.I tried reaching out to Adobe support about this, but of course their cop-out answer was "AfterEffects 2019 is no longer available."I've tried all the usual stuff, re-extracting the ZIP file, disabling Defender, running as an administrator, the works. An old installer for AE 2021 worked just fine on this same machine, so I'm at a loss for what the issue is here.Can anyone help me with this?Has anyone else run into this?

Hi All, I'm new to expression controls in after effects. I have a number counter and I've tried a few different approaches to this (Slider control and a longer string of expression code). Ultimately I decided to use this simple control as it allowed me to control how the numbers jump quite easily:beginTime = 0;endTime = 3.5;startVal = 29219;endVal = 20188;Math.round(linear(time,beginTime,endTime,startVal,endVal)/200)*200 The problem is I cant seem to get a comma built in. Not sure if this is because I am trying legacy methods with a JavaScript project. Help if possible. Thank you!

I'm trying to play back my rotoscoped clip, but it keeps giving me this warning. I checked my internal storage and i should have more than enough space on my mac. What do I need to change in the 'memory' tab in order to make my clip play?

Hello, when I open the program and go into any file, the problem that you are seeing in the image occurs. It doesn't show me the elements of the composition and I don't have anything activated, not Shift or anything. I have reinstalled the program and run it again and it is still the same, can someone give me a solution? 

I have to deliver a file in the format 24800x90, i have setup the file in AE this is working fine, i've already read that encoder is not good at rendering such large files, so i tried render queue. When i render i get a long black bar, that's flashing a little, but nothing like my comp, my comp has images, fonts and so on. When i used encoder it atleast rendered to what i believe was 20'000px and the just had the rest black. I've tried h.264 and quicktime, since i have to deliver in one of the two.  Can anyone tell me how i can get it to actually properly render?

Hello, I am trying to make a tool: Create a Text font size based on comp size.  For example: comp is 540px = Font size: 105px. Not change the Scale property. Hello, i want to use Trapcode Tao / Mir and i ran into this error. First off, i already searched/tried every fix i could possibly find and even asked chat gpt for help and nothing worked. I am using After Effects 2023 and Trapcode2023.4.0. My pc specs are:- AMD Ryzen 7 5800X cpu- AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT gpu- 32gb RAM According to other fixes, all monitors are plugged into the gpu and i have updated my graphics drivers to the newest version. All other Trapcode and other Third-Party Plugins are working as intended. I have tested both Tao and Mir in empty projects to remove any unwanted variables.  I am at a loss for what to do, my pc should be more than capable of running both plugins and i recall of using Tao in the past. I will gladly accept any help you can give me, thanks.  

When I edit the video from Google Earth Studio for the first time, I cut it and mark it with boris mocha ai in the effect, and I don't do anything like that. What is the reason and solution?
