After Effects

Hi folks,I need to control the text direction (LTR / RTL) with an expression. Yet I cannot find the property in the reference. I reckon it's just not possible, but just to be sure, I wanted to ask ... Any tipps very much appreciated! Thanks and cheers from BerlinFlo

Could someone help me with this expression. I am trying to get a position to bounce up and down with easing. The other requirement is that the oscillation should occur with the original position in the middle (so that when I adjust the sliders to zero, the position returns to where it was).This is all part of an expression based animation. However - I'm having this issue where the easing occurs in the middle. So it slows down as it approaches the middle from it's peak. See video. When I added a clip to my composition in After Effects, something like "Romanatic Suite Preview" is written on my layer, what does this mean and does this affect my workflow or end result quality in any way?  Attatched a screenshot below!

Ok so, i just added a new file into the project and my preview just dissapeared, what do i mean by that? That im on the main composition, but the preview doesnt show!But when i do to another Compositions the preview works just fine?Yeah my head hurts and this is a school project for today so i just want a but of help.

Asked this in the Premier pro area, but perhaps its better asked here. After getting a GREAT looking chroma key in After effects via Dynamic Link, when the clip is previewed back in Premiere Pro the video looks like white and noisy, like the background is ghosting through or somethingWhy is the Chroma key in Premiere Pro looking so bad but perfect in After Effects?How do i fix this?

Hello,Just wondering if anyone knows a way to change the  default keyboard shortcut for removing unwanted areas. (red- circle ) Holding ALT when using the rotobrush?It becomes very annoying when you have to advance frames using the PAGE UP and then having to go all the way over to the ALT to subtract an area.Try doing that that for every other frame and you'll feel my pain.The only shortcut I found to edit was just to open the rotobrush but not to change any brush controls.Thanks in advance,Lou

Hi, I just opened After Effects for the first time and having been researching for hours. We have an annual meeting coming up where there are hundreds of single photos we are turning into basically a slide show. However, I want to create a separate video of several of those photos coming into our logo. The idea from the movie Friends with Benefits where the flash mob people morph into the GQ logo. This is what i'm trying to replicate.  Any ideas or help is much appreciated!! Thank you, Kiersten 

If my playhead is in the middle of my timeline, I'd like to play from that point. But the playhead keeps going back to the beginning of the timeline. Is this normal or is it a bug in AE CC 2018? I've never seen it do that prior versions. Is there some setting to toggle regarding the playhead because I haven't found it in Preferences.Thanks very much in advance.

After Effects has become unusable on my home PC. It crashes within the first 5 seconds of openning any project. I've tried importing a project into a new file, same issue. Ran in safe mode, still crashes. Disabled all plug-ins, crash. Reset preferences, same. Disabled Home Screen, no change. Updated video drivers, no difference.  I've tried AE Beta with no luck.This is making it  impossible to work. I've been having to remote into my office PC to work, which has the same plugins, scripts, settings, and version. Works fine on my office PC, except due to remoting in there's a massive audio delay and just generally slow. Okay, not sure what's going on here but since a few updates prior whenever I alter a mask (adjust a point, resize, reposition) it changes the mask mode. For example, I draw a mask and set the mode as 'Add'. I then move it and After Effects changes the mode to 'None' or 'Difference' all by itself, forcing me to go through the added step of changing it back to 'Add'. What's going on here and how do I stop this? It's driving me crazy. I've searched through the preferences but couldn't see anything obviously related.

Hi, So after a lot of research and frustration am posting here, I am extremely sorry if it goes against the community, I mean I dnt knw if am allowed to ask such guidance in AE community or not. So I need some guidance, I am totally new in Duik world.  Are Duik Bassel and Angela the same? I have downloaded both but very differenet UI. Which one  I should learn first, Duik bassel or angela?  Those who know this plugin please guide me. I cant wait to learn and make some cool cat animation. Please.
