Hi, thank you all for reading this issue.I feel really great having VR support on both AE and Premiere,But I have encountered some minor issue on using VR plane to sphere fx on one of my 2d image. (On AE)Right now, I want to place my 2d image on the area indicated by the red arrow below (the vr video is top/down stereoscopic)In premiere, this can be easily done with adjusting Position value on Motion fx ( it seems its a default fx)But here's the problem. In AE, the value for adjusting position of the image is missing.All I ve got is VR plane to sphere fx only. How should I approach this issue?the position value of the image it self seems locked. I am wondering if I can use a script or a shortcut to automatically move the active timeline to centre the Timeline playhead (current time indicator).I am working on a very long comp sometime have to zoom in close and move around the timeline, just wanted a quick way to move back to the area in which I have the playhead (current time indicator) rather than scrolling the timeline or zoom out and back in

I’ve created a function with an interval of 1000 milliseconds to check if After Effects is rendering, and it works very well. However, I’ve noticed that every second, as the interval triggers, the mouse cursor (both the Pointer and Pen Tool) disappears and reverts to the default arrow icon. The cursor only reappears when I move the mouse, resulting in a continuous glitch each second. This issue affects the entire After Effects user interface, not just my CEP extension. Are there any ways to correct this problem?Thank you...

 please how do I fix this, started all of a sudden, can't work on both old and new projects with this kind of glitch 

Hi Guys, I have the latest AE with Cinema 4D 2025  and also 2023, I do my camera tracking I create my solid ready to export to ciema 4D, I click on the export to C4d, and nothing happens.... I've done this tons of time with older after effects with no problem.. what am I missing? Thanks  

After Effects keeps crashing when I try to open one of my projects. I was able to work on it for hours yesterday (and the file isn't that large, it's only 30 seconds long so far) and today it just would freeze.The first popup I get when I open After Effects says "Your disk cache folder is on a drive that doesn not have enough available space to safely store the full amount specificed in your preferences. Please make more space available or go to Media & Disk Cache preferences to change the folder or maximum disk cache size." I've made my disk cache size 25gb and clearing the media cache just freezes my computer. I also get a popup that says "The following plugins are installed, but are not compatible with this version of After Effects", but I can't figure out how to remove plugins from my computer because I had downloaded those ages ago and can't find them in any adobe folders. I've uninstalled and reinstalled After Effects multiple times, testing both migrate and don't m

Hello,I created an Essential Graphic in Adobe After Effects and imported it in Premiere Pro.Everything works well except for 1 thing, the color.In After Effects i use an color red in the visual (this part can't be changed, only the text of my graphics can be changed). Everywhere the color appears. In the visual render from After Effects and also in the visual render in the Essential Graphics window from Premiere Pro. But when i import it into my sequence, the color dissapears and turns black. For the rest, everything works fine.It stays black, even after rendering the video.The problem appeared in the latest 2019 version, and in the 14.0 (2020) version.Does anybody knows how to fix this?

I would like to add a zoom-in effect to the tracked screen. It would work if the rotation of the 3D layer did smooth over time during the set keyframes. The final rotation only happens at the end, despite easing and speed adjustments.

hey, can anyone help me everytime i try to copy the text with gradient on it from premier pro and paste it into the after effects it doesn't show the gradient on the text please help me.

I've been dealing with seemingly random hanging for months. Narrowed it down to a combination of using Content Aware Fill ("CAF") any time there is a MGJSON file used anywhere upstream from where content aware fill is used. After Effects hangs on the next save after the CAF completes.I can save if CAF has started but not yet generated frames.   Autosave after the CAF completes also causes the hang.MGJSON can be imported in the project, the hang only happens when it is used in a comp.

Let me start by saying I'm a total newbie to After Effects and am unfamiliar with all of the jargon/terminology of the field, so I will do my best to express the issue in a way that makes sense. I have no doubt I'm doing something wrong and that the program is working just fine, but I'm having trouble with Continuously Rasterize and maintaining the crispness of my Illustrator image. I'm trying to animate a Production Compnay Logo I made in Illustrator, mainly for the purpose of putting it in front of my short films. I'm only working with 4 Layers, but whenever I select the Continuously Rasterize option in my Timeline (like I saw in various YouTube videos gauged towards my problem), it lessens the blurriness of my Logo, but is still visibly pixelated when I try to Magnify the image. My process for importing the ai file has been importing it as Footage with Merged Layers, then dragging it into the Timeline area, where I right click "Create" then "Convert to Layered Comp", then doubl

I am understanding how Setup/Flatten/Resetup/Setdown is working regarding the content of sequence_data. However, I could not differentiate sequence_data being "copied" for the same instance, and be copy/pasted for a new instance. In Premiere,  I could call PF_UtilitySuite4 GetFilterInstanceID to get the InstanceID to know to which instance the current "call" refer to. Is there a way in AfterEffetcs to know for which instance I am being called ? Should I use something like the StreamSuite ? Thanks in avance

Its been a while since I've been receiving this crash log from ae and I really want to know what is the problem, it happens every time my autosave tries to save the project so it happens a lot of time. I have a MacBook Pro m3 512gb and 18gb ram , macos installed is Sequoia.I am using After Effects 2022.

Heya. As the title says, I set up a simple line with three path points, all following nulls using the new feature in AE 2018. However when I copy and paste these layers into a new comp, it seems to all break apart. The names are untouched, scripts seem to be intact, yet when I move the nulls around the path points do not follow. Any ideas?

Hi, I've been getting BSODs when rendering from After Effects in Media Encoder since around May/June.  When it happens: BSOD crashes on certain projects from After Effects, but not others. It only happens when actively rendering in Media Encoder, but mainly seems to happen while A) Scrubbing through the timeline, B) Opening a new file or C) Opening Blender, which I use often. It seems that more complex projects cause the crash, which simple video exports never do. What happens: The error is VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL. The minidump file created during the crash indicates WATCHDOG.SYS as the problem. I would also add that the render times on certain projects is massive. I have records of a render from May 2022 taking two minutes, and the exact same render is currently taking two hours. Note: There's a specific After Effects project that causes the BSOD consistently, however I've had a co-worker run the renders on his computer with no issues. My computer:&nb

Have different Layers in different positions in Z space, have DOF on, Aperture is cranked to 1000, Point of interest is in a different position than the objects, F-Stop is at .1. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw something about collapsed transformations but when I go into 3D mode there isn't an option to turn the option off.Any ideas anyone? Hi:) a few days ago, when i used the roto brush tool it worked just fine. but now eveytime im trying to use it doesnt work. How can i fix this problem? (see problem at the video)working on macbook air m2 16gb. 

When I press Reset on my effect control, a PF_Cmd_USER_CHANGED_PARAM is sent for each parameter. However, when doing Undo, the parameter is changed in the UI, but I do not get any "notification". I have an object instance that should be kept synchronized AE parameters and I do not know how to do. For example, this object instance is used to determine other parameters visibility, i.e. if checkbox A is checked, slider B and C should be enabled, if A is unchecked, B and C should be disabled.A popup could also be used to populate other float sliders. Could I get some notification using Undo groups ? or should I manually resynchronize my object with AE parameters at each PF_Cmd_UPDATE_PARAMS_UI call ?

The problem I've been facing is when my adjustment layer has effects added to it that makes a distortion or something under footage or effects, it sets it in the middle of the screen and the effect doesn't follow the position of the footage or effect. Some examples of the effects are:Displacement mapChromatic displacementCompound blurand more... This is very important because I am a VFX editor and I need this to work for my videos.

Yesterday I updated from AE 24.0.3 to 25.4 and it will not open projects from just the day before. A friendly Adobe support person took control of the workstation and verified many system settings; tried importing the project into a new project; tried disabling, then removing, all plugins. It still did not work.After about 45 minutes the support person said it might be a problem opening projects containing MXF files. Note that I am able to start a new project and import MXF files with no problem. It is only with these existing projects that AE crashes when the "Opening Selected Items" window appears.  The support person said he would accelerate the issue to the team.Someone called me a few hours later from an unknown caller ID and I did not pick up. He left a voicemail saying he was Adobe calling me back about the problem. I called back this morning but it went to voicemail identifying it as "Adobe Sales" and no human ever picked up.I have rolled back to 24.0.3 and everything

I can't move (position) the null object that the camera is linked to, and when I change the position coordinates, the x,y,z axes in my comp don't change, they seem to be displayed statically.how can I make the null object lie on the comp like in the third image, instead of just being a square on the comp?
