After Effects

So I've been trying to google and search for an issue I've been noticing more and more. It's really annoying because my default project and layouts are all affected by this bug.  My composition panel often comes in microscopically small. Same with  my effects and presets panel. If I close the composition and open another composition it will open with correct scaling. Same if I undock my effects and presets, scale it up, then redock it.  It's annoying and wastes my time. I'll also see the issue with the render queue.  I also have a second monitor plugged in which I htink is part of the issue since the laptop is 4k and the monitor is not. After effectrs 24.4.2 Noticed it for the last couple updates. Tried disabling scaling on windows but it's not the ideal solution because then I can't use a second display for anything because it goes massive on the other screen.  Any help would be super appreciated since a lot of the older stuff people are po

I am creating an animation in Adobe After Effects and I want an editor to be able to change the colors in the animation once it is exported to be able to be added to different YouTube videos. I have made the background transparent but I am wondering if there would be a way for the editor to easily change the color of the text in the animation?   I was directed by Adobe support to this chat. 

How can I remove Cinema 4D and the other apps related C4D on Mac.I don't use them. I want to remove them but I can't find the way.   

Hello I want to emit the particles from a layer and everything is fine. As soon as i create a camera and animate it's Z position, the emitter falls out of place... I have been editing the position of a simple rectangular Mask Path within a Mask object. Select handles, move them to new locations, set a keyframe, repeat. It was working fine for several keyframes, then something changed.I am now able to select and deselect the handles, but they will not move with either the mouse or arrow keys. Both methods were working fine previously. I cannot edit keyframes I already created. I can't detect anything that is different in the UI.Is there a lock setting? Did I click a button or hit a key command that disabled editing? If I create a new object, its handles can be moved as usual, but not the existing rectangle.

Hello.  I'm rendering a video from After Effects via Media Encoder and the final product is very noisy and has  random artifacts.  I've tried on the both the latest versions AE and ME,  and I've also rendered it on older versions. I've attached 2 screenshots to show what I mean.  The footage is Blackmagic Raw files. I have no idea how to fix this and can't find any help via Youtube or in this Community.  Anyone experienced this or have a possible solution?

How can I replicate the same cloak effect from the 1987 Predator movie, with those repeated, concentric patterns? There are many tutorials on the internet teaching how to do a similar camouflage effect, but none of them are what I'm looking for. What I'm wanting is similar to a fresnel lens walking around the environment, Can anyone out there help? 

Hi guys, I'm coming to you because I'm really stuck atmI'm going to start a project for a client tomorrow so I wanted to look at the assets and all the stuff before starting it Fact is : I litteraly can't do anything- If I try to render a preview I'm getting a BSOD (Premiere)- If I try to export I'm getting a BSOD (Premiere)- If I try to export I'm getting a BSOD (After Effects) I searched on the internet and tried everything I found : - I updated Windows so now I'm no longer on W10 but on W11 - I uninstalled my NVIDIA Drivers using DDU and made a clean reinstall (I did it twice : first time with the lastest version and second time with an older version)- I tried to render with olders AE and PP versions- I tried to render using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration and Software Only- "Enable hardware accelerated decoding" was already enable- I did a memory diagnostic using Windows and I did another one with Memtest86 -> No errors I also used "BlueScr

I've got some things I'd like to get off my chest and I doubt Adobe will ever see this or consider what I'm about to say, but Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere have become incredibly difficult to work in and rely on as a professional in the video world. I know there's plenty of people who rant and rave about Adobe products but I'd happily jump ship if there was a legitimate alternative for After Effects. I'm in Premiere and After Effects at least 20-30 hours a week each. I do simple 2D motion design and video editing often a combined 60 hours a week. The amount of technical difficulties I run into on a daily basis is truly embarassing on Adobe's part. I totally get that software won't work 100% of the time. I work full time for a software company myself. I know how it goes. But I've been dealing with problems that have lasted years without being addressed by Adobe and in fact have in many cases been made worse with each update. Every time I export my file via Media Encoder (as an .mp4) or the Render Queue (as a .mov), my video comes out either white (.mov) or just black (.mp4). I have 4 Spot Light layers in my file that look amazing in the AE working file, there's nothing wrong there. When I export, they disappear. How can I successfully export this will all the Light Layers appearing as visible, as they do in my working file? For reference, I have the camera angle/view set to "Front" I've included photos of my timeline and layers below. 

Dear After Effecters!(I am using After Effects CC v16.0.0) First of all - thanks so much if you are able to help me! After selecting the 'T' text tool and holding on 'T' to change to Vertical Text, as I type 'ABC' it appears sideways not vertically, as if it's just been rotated - does that make sense? I cannot seem to get it to type vertically A and then B underneath and then C. Like this:-ABCI cannot do it. The letters are rotated 90 degrees as I type. I have held the mouse button down on the 'T' tool and switched to vertical typing, but it's sideways (rotated 90 degrees, not with one letter under the next).  Hope that makes sense! I have searched for an answer and video after video tells me to 'just click and hold the 'T' tool and switch to vertical - but that doesn't work for me. Thanks SO much if you're able to help. - Rory Skywalker

Creating any Cinema 4d lite project out of Premiere Pro and After Effects via dynamic link freezes AE when trying to close it, as I outlined in this thread. Even when using AE and C4D only, AE freezes upon closing. In both cases, I can always close the AE project window, but AE freezes when trying to close the AE program window. I have to shut AE down via task manager. It all worked flawlessly until PP/AE V23 and Cinema 4d lite R25. Since the AE update that included Cinema 4d 2023.1.1, AE freezes upon closing. I am desperately trying to find a solution as I need this for my professional work. Adobe already tried twice to help via remote support but could not find the cause of this problem. Maxxon thinks it is an Adobe but and does not want to help. Therefore, I am hoping someone from this community has a brilliant idea. What I tried so far:Multiple new installations of all programs, including removal of old versions and not migrating old settings.Delete AE

I've set up a comp 2400px x 800px ( odd size I know but its for a website)When I use Media encoder, set to H.264 with the Gamma correction LUT, I get the exact colors in the output that I'm seeing in after effects, but if I change the height of the comp and absolutely nothing else, when I render it again (exact same setting) the colors are all darker. Ive repeated this at many different sizes and it happen every time, over 578px no problems, under 578px and the colors shift.

Heii I wanna make a svg animation with the tool "lottie". I created a waving flag with the effect "wave wrap". Unfortunately "lootie" doesn't support this effect. Is there a possibility to convert the effect to a path? Or do you have another idea?

Hey everyone,  For 3 days now, After Effects started randomly crashing, doing the most simple things. I don't have the same problem with other Adobe products (I'm using Photoshop and Ilustrator everyday). I upgraded the drivers, scanned the memory trough memory diagnostic and other program ( i can't recall the name anymore) and nothing wrong came out. Cleaned the cache, boosted the performance trough Auslogics and everything i could find on other forums. Still crashing. hi, i just made a character and rigged is. This was all done in 6000x6000pixel composition. I now need to scale it down to fit a 1920x1080 composition. I already tried connecting all the layers that are not parented to and null and scale it down, but that doesn't work for me. Is there something i am not doing correct or is there another way of doing it?

Hi, I've just upgraded to an Apple M2 MAX laptop (from a 2019 intel one), and would like to know if version 23 of After Effects (and Premiere) work better and is more stable than version 24? I'm about to install the apps, so would appreciate a heads up before I waste my time installing 24 (which I've read has many problems, or did at least). Cheers.

I want to get the position of the mouse when the user clicks in the comp window. I can get the mouse position using OS calls, but I want the relative position, exactly like PF_Param_POINT does it when you press that target button next to the parameter value. I though about geting the size and position of the comp and then calculate the mouse position using the OS mouse calls, but I don't know how to get the position and size of the comp. Another option would be to add a hidden PF_Param_POINT, and force the activation of the pick tool from the parameter, but I didn't find a way to activate it without user input. Any ideas?

인텔 맥과 최신버전 애프터이펙트를 사용하고 있습니다.어느 순간 애프터이펙트에서 키프레임을 삭제하거나 타임라인 확대 축소를 했을 시키보드를 두 번 누르는 것과 같은 현상이 발생합니다.키프레임을 삭제 할 때는 두번 누르는 꼴이 되어 해당 레이어가 아예 삭제되어undo를 한 번 해야되는 불편한 상황이 이어지고 있습니다.혹시 같은 현상을 가지고 계신 분이나 해결하신 분이 있을까요?
