After Effects

When I try to export a project the rendering process is stuck and won't move for example it is 8%/ 86/960 frames.The only way it moves a bit is when I turn off multi frame rendering but it doesn't really help.

I'm trying to edit an after effects template and I need to change the background gradient ramp in a composition. But I couldn't find this shape layer 1 in any composition and I couldn't change this gradient. When I double click on it nothing happens. Is there anyone who can help? Thanks in advance.

 I'm not sure if someone has already posted this issue, but I have the following situation: I have two text layers, text 1 and text 2. Text 1 will have the number of days, and text 2 only says 'days ago.' I want to use an expression so that as the number increases, it shifts to the left and doesn't overlap. In this example, I'm changing the values from a SourceText in Essentials Graphics. So, I used this expression, and it creates the desired shift, but the issue is that it animates the shift. Ive recently downloaded some logo templates from Envato Elements and was hoping to change a few simple elements.All i would like to do is change the background colour and use my logo but as soon as i've opened after effects i've realized i'm WAY over my head!Anything any one can do to assist? Any tips etc. I've been looking on youtube for answers but no joy   

I made a counter with an expression in a text layer. I wanted to append a text at the end of the expression but, as it is a formula I need to write it with subscripts and/or superscripts.I know I can't edit the style inside an expression so my thought and question is how to link another text layer with my formula with the sub and superscripts to follow the increasing movement of the counter.

I've been using AE for 2 years and I'm working with some 4k footage for a project. I created proxies of the footage to make things move smoother, however my text keeps rendering pixelated. Even when my comp window is at Full resolution and 100% AND I turn my proxies off, the footage is crystal clear but the text is pixelated. Then, when exporting, once again the footage is clear but the text is pixelated. I know it's not an issue with the font because I've been using that same font for years... Could this be an issue with the memory on my machine? Any help is greatly appreciated! 

There is something wrong in this position graph but i can't enable Separate Dimensions to edit it. Whats going on? 

I would like to do bezier curve editing in the graph editor for a 3D layer's orientation property, but the separate dimensions option is greyed out. How do I use the graph editor for this property? I tried making a null 3D layer and adjusting Orientation but "separate dimensions" was likewise disabled

Hi! Im experiencing some weird problems with AE today.My goal was to stabilize motion through AE. I imported an "untouched" file:Flog, 10 bit, 4:2:0, Rec. 601 (NTSC).As soon as I import the footage I seem to notice a lack of detail in the backgroung of the video.I have the resolution to full.Not only that, there seem to be color shifts in the shadows, which are a lot more visible after color grading.I tried literally everything I could find on web to correct the problem.I changed settings like working space and render color, tried every possible bit depth - also uncompressed.And nothing. I also tried adding the video directly to media encoder, encoding it to different codecs etc. and still the same result. Did try rendering it from AE through ME, since the dynamic link doesnt work either.The weird thing is, if adding the video directly to premiere, everything seems fine - also the details and no color shifts whatsoever even if color grading.I can provide additional information if neede

I can't drag and drop elements into the Library panel in After Effects.I can drag and drop everywhere else, no problem. Any thoughts?

Hey, I have these shapes in a style frame in Illustrator, and I'm wondering if there's a way that I can quickly import this into after effects. I would typically use Overlord, but I want to very quickly change the "size" property of all of them (but Overlord converts them all to paths on import to After Effects). Does anyone have a workflow for creating many distinct shapes like this from scratch in After Effects? Thanks!

My computer is configured with 64G of memory, and 90% is allocated to Adobe AfterEffects.I'm using AfterEffects with nothing else open. When I was compositing my project (3840*1920 @59.94 fps), it prompted me out of memory.In my project, there are only 4 shape layers, and there are no expressions, animations, 3D effects. After the insufficient memory warning, my browser, social software crashed one after another, and the whole system also crashed. In the end, I had to restart the computer to solve it. This problem has come up more than once, but this time is the most outrageous. I want to fix the out of memory issue, but I don't see the ‘Reduce cache size when system is low on memory’ button. in Preferences. The AfterEffects version I tried is 23.5Computer configuration is 12700K,RTX 3080,64G RAM,2T NVME SSD.System version is Windows 11  Professional Edition 22621.1992 

Hello, I am writing an expression that will scale in and out an object based on slider controls. The problem I have run into is trying to create a "pinch" graph effect, where the arch of the easing effect becomes tall and thin. Thanks!

  Hey there,I am new to AE so any help is appreciated.I am having trouble scaling this image to match the subject.I have UV scaling ticked but still doesn't fit.I've then went into reflectivity and tried to manually adjust but then the subject goes all blurry.any advice would be great. 

So never used after effects and im trying to do a Animated Intro for videos/stream , basically the idea is i have a text " STARTING SOON " which i animated with the effect Stroke and i want to have the animation start and finish then wait like 10 seconds and then repeat the animation from the start and then just repeat this same pattern.Tried loopout but honestly no idea what im doing. Thanks for the help in advance.

Here is an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCdN15jQ9CQ I can make the snow. But I can't figure out how to put it on green screen so that I can remove that color later in my final video production. I was able to make it so that it had a black background, and remove that color, but it made the edges of the snow flakes grayish black. I'd also like to make other effects on green screen, like fire in a fireplace, or candle flame, or steaming cup of tea.

My video and audio tracks on Adobe After effect don't work properly. Every time I select a track nothing happens, then I have to click on the top of the track for my selection to appear. And I have to do this every time. I've contacted customer service a dozen times and every time I explain my situation, they leave the conversation without giving any explanation.

I'm trying to make a layer scale up at its inPoint and then scale down just before its outPoint. Unfortunately, I'm not a coder, so I have a hard time understanding a lot of the syntax here. I'd love to get this done with just one expression to make everything faster instead of setting the keyframes individually. I can get the separate expressions to work, so:ease(time, inPoint, inPoint + 0.5, value * 0, value * 1)makes the image scale up from the time it comes in, andease(time, outPoint, outPoint - 0.5, value * 1, value * 0)makes the image scale down just before it disappears. However, when I try to combine them like this:if(time<=inPoint){ ease(time, inPoint, inPoint + 0.5, value * 0, value * 1) } else{ ease(time, outPoint, outPoint - 0.5, value * 1, value * 0) }It does the scale up properly, but it ignores the scale down.If I try to combine them like this:ease(time, inPoint, inPoint + 0.5, value * 0, value * 1) + ease(time, outPoint, outPoint - 0.5, value * 1, value * 0
