After Effects

Hello everyone!I am a mapper/mapimator who makes videos about battles and wars. But whenever I add vertices to Adobe After Effects it creates them on the opposite side of the shape layer and then moves it over making a weird sideways moving animation. I made a "testing" video just to show what happens. You can see how they move sides, although you can't see the vertices you can very clearly see it moving sideways(in this case up). Thank you!

I need color science help! On the right, you see the AE preview. On the left is the rendered video. I am working with a linear ".exr" sequence in Agx transform from Blender. Conversion in AE happens with the OpenColorIO plugin. The problem is that the final video rendered from AE has ugly bright shadows, which is different from the AE preview. I want it to look like what I see in AE. Final render happens through Adobe Media Encoder to ".mp4 " Maybe it doesn't even relate to the Agx conversion, because when I input a regular .jpg with normal color transform, and I disable the OCIO conversion effects, the output also has the brighter shadows

Rotobrush worked fine until recently, and then it is not clear why it started to close after effect without any error, it ran in safe mode and without plug-ins, without result

After Effects wont launch, I get an error saying CEP suite couldnt be loaded. We have re-intalled multiple times, changed permissions etc. Can anyone help please?

I can just say that you guys suck. I am ALWAYS losing hours finding a solution to get around bugs. And people pay for this crap I can just yelling at you since this stuff is always graphic driver related.

I've been working on a series of videos explaining how to use Unreal Engine (the free, 3D game creator).  These videos are designed for After Effects users who are not familiar with game engines. While there's a lot of tutorials out there for Unreal, they all seem to assume either you want to make a game or that you know Unreal and just want to make videos. I want to make some 3D text and have installed the add-on from the creative cloud and restarted, but Ae still complains that I still need to install Cinema 4D, whats wrong?

Hi, i am having trouble with rendering in ae,When I do some color correction and sharpen on my video, when it starts rendering I can see in the preview that the sharpness dissapears and also some of the color grades.Any help? 

Hello. I've pick-whipped a layer's position to a null object a few levels up in the hierarchy of nested compositions. Adjusting the null's position moves the layer as expected until I create a keyframe, then it stops working.I'm not sure if this matters, but I'm working on an animation where comps of a character's face orientations (profile, 3/4s, forward) are nested inside a comp with a duration of one frame and staggared by one frame. I've time-remapped the upper comp to control which orientation is being shown.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i want to display seconds in my timeline window but i am getting still frames.Before i wrote here also i googled to fix this problem and followed the steps below :Ctrl-click (Windows) the current-time display. The current-time display is in the upper-left corner of the Timeline panel and at the bottom of the Layer, Composition, and Footage panels is not worked.File>Project settings>time display settings>timecode not workedthen i closed after effects and clicked shift+ctrl+alt to reset preference settings of after effects and opened a new project and new composition then i achived to showing seconds later on i bring that problem composition to the new new project but i still getting frames instead of frames in timeline.Probably i click wrong key while i worked on my project.How can i fix this issue and recover that setting?Thanks for your kind helping attempt.

HiPlease help me how to fix random crash, pc freezing. I started After Effect and not open it - blue screen error  IRQL Not less.. and other stop code error and reboot my pc again and again 😞Updated all driver, mem test ok, no virus, etc working perfectly all devices.PcI7-14700k/4070ti/64GB ram Premiere pro opened and error messeage, and closed program. I opening again no messeage, clicking the timeline bum blue screen and restarting pc. I used Ae and Pr version 2020 updated all version 21,22,23,24 all version crashing. Renderização demorando o triplo do normal. Alterei minhas configurações do computador para uma melhor, saindo de um R3 2200g para um R7 5700X, 32GB ram, saindo de RX 580 para uma RX 7700 XT e a renderização está pessima, demorando muito e não consumindo nada, literalmente 0% de GPU mesmo com OpenCL. I  refuse to install this product but it keeps getting installed on my computer despite me checking no. I did a fresh computer wipe and reload of CC and still this software installs. How do I keep Maxon off my computer?   

I have a 3D text in Blender and want to import it as a 3D object into Ae, how do I do that? Do I need Adobe Animate? I can render it as a movie clip but I want to animate it in Ae.

Just wondering if there's a setting I may not be aware of in After Effects that would enable me to change the default "Step/Foward back many frames which is always set to 10 in After Effects. In Premiere (see below) it's great that we have this option to change the step forward/back many frames from the default 10 to any number you want. Just curious why there's no option (I'm aware of) to do so in a compositing animation program like AE. Working in 24 and 12 fps timelines, it would be great to have the option to change the default 10 to say 12 or 8 or 6 or whatever. Hopefully Adobe will one day add this.   

Hi, I am creating 3d shapes in After Effects by making them 3D, Changing render settings to Cinema 4D and then  under Geometry Options i'm selectingConvex and expaning the Extrusion Depth & hole Bevel Depth, but when i trutn my spae to the side the edges are harsh and i want them rounded. I tried adding 'round corners' to my shape but this doesn't help. I tried to redo this in After Effects Beta incase there where any additional settings but nothing i could find.... (doesn't mean its not there i am a noive at all things AE)Does anyone have any idea on how i could round out my edges....(i've added a layer over the top of my shape to give it texture, but can't make this 3d so it doesn't move well with the shape so any tips on that, i've fudged it for now...) Thank you so much for any advice/tips/ ideas 

I apologize if the title doesn't make sense I'll try to explain in the comments if something doesn't make sense. I'm new to after effects but l'm trying to make an opening movie. The beginning of this movie has eyes looking left and right while the background slowly pans downward. The problem I have is that I need the eyes to pan down with the background and look left and right at the same time. The way it is now is the eyes move left and right then start panning. Is there a way to make the eyes pan with the background without using the position (that's how they move left and right) Thanks for the help.
