After Effects 2023 keeps crashing as soon as I do anything with the typeface. I tried using other fonts - still keeps crashing.  I tried to adjust everything as far as the cache/purging. Please help. Thanks.

I'm trying to run my After Effects CS6 but every time I attempt to load I get I get a "Crash in Progress" popup that says Last logged message was: <7756> <GPUManager> <2> Sniffer Result Code: 1 I have the latest graphics driver installed and have also tried using an ealier driver version. However, when I uninstall the driver and use the generic driver After Effects loads with no issues and from there I can reinstall the Intel Iris Xe driver and use it with no troubles. Just a pain to have to do every time I load. I'm running WIndows 11 with 16GB ram no other video cards other then the Iris Xe. I assume the problem is with the GPUSniffer check before load?

I used to have an old version of the 2023 after effects and as soon as I updated it it is saying that i have to pay for it again even though it has already been payed for. Can anyone help me?

Bonjour,J'ai un projet sur un disque externe SSD.Ce projet, en lien avec un projet PREMIERE PRO, s'ouvre et fonctionne parfaitement sur un ordinateur de bureau (Lenovo Think Pad) mais plante systématiquement sur une machine dédié au montage video (W10, Pentium 7, RAM 32 Go, NVDIA 2070).Conséquence, les liens dynamic link avec AE ne fonctionnent plus et le film ne peut pas etre travaillé (mais les liens Photoshop restent fonctionnels)Tous les sytèmes et pilotes de cette machine sont à jour.Version AE : 23.6.0 (build 62)Version Premiere Pro : 23.6.0 (build 65)Précisions :- Recopié sur le disque dur principal de la machine, le projet AE plante aussi,- En mode sans échec et plugin désactivés, le projet plante également.Comment puis-je retouver une situation stable?Par avance merci pour votre aide.Xavier

This error prevents me from previewing in AE and immediately stops playback. It seems to occur with certain compositions, and will go away if they are disabled. I'm thinking it has to do with Illustrator files as it seems to occur whenever I'm using them. I am under a time crunch and dealing with this error has been extremely frustrating, especially since (according to other threads) there is no universal fix for it. Things I've tried:- switching Mercury Software Only to CUDA (and vice versa)- updating gpu drivers- reinstalling AE- purging all memory & disk cache- rebooting my pc- disabling fonts in Creative Cloud (some speculated the error has to do with fonts) The only progress I've made is by "saving as" a new project, which sometimes fixes the error and other times does not. Any suggestions are welcome! I'm willing to try anything. My PC specs:Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHzRAM: 64 GBGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

I am trying to track graphics into stereoscopic 360 footage. Can this be done? As far as I can tell the VR comp editor only works with monoscopic footage, which is a real drag for all of us working in 3D 360. Does anyone have a workaround? 

Hi!I am Youtube Documentary Video Editor. I use AE and a Plugin Called Geolayers to make, animate and Edit World Maps and add other Effects as well. Similar to this  "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7URrLHufdo&t=10s"  My workflow is generally Dividing the Video in Multiple 3 Min Parts and then when I render it, I typically render it in 1 Min or 30 Second Parts!. However it is very inconsistant, sometimes it take 30 Mins other times it takes 4-5 Hours Rendering the same footage. I have Tried both Media Encoder and Render Que but kinda the same.  What i need help with is , how to make more use of my CPU when Rendering and which format to export it so that i can get a faster render. (I can easily convert it to my preferred Format Later if i want.). Also tell me which HHD/ SSD to render my project into to maximise the render speeds My PC Specs are CPU-I5 11400FRAM-3600Mhz Trident ZGPU-RX 590GMESSD1-Kingston (For gaming)SSD2-Adata Something

I am writing a C++ plugin and I need to create an interface that will interact with my plugin. I took Panelator as an example. When I run the plugin, I get only the panel title and the panel frame, and the rest (everything that should be inside) is transparent, there is not even a background. - is this a bug?OK. There are AE_GeneralPlugPanels headers in the project, but this does not seem to solve the problem very much. I removed it everywhere in the code, tested it and the window is still created.There is also S_CreatePanelHook which creates a panel when it is disabled. The window is still being created.I can not understand. There is only one option left - cocoa framework. Maybe he is responsible for the creation of the window and the interface.Please help me to understand and study this topic. in this video, 1:25 seconds in he states, press ALT and click the offset timer to then type out 1 into - 1? (idk what that means) but it's so blurry i don't know what the little symbol is or how to type it out.

Anyone know if it's possible, and how if it is, to extract data from a Cinema4D file in AE programmatically? My understanding is the AEC plugin may no longer be usable and I'm looking for a workaround. Thank you!

Anybody have experience with Resolve or recommend switching? I love adobe but it crashes like crazy and is just wholly unreliable in general. I heard DaVinci doesn't crash nearly as much. I just wish the developers focused on making the product more stable 😞

Not sure if this has to do with me getting a new graphics card or a windows update. I havent used AE in well over 2-3 months, i went to use it today and it shows the loading screen but then instantly closes and puts a crash file on my desktop .. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the same thing ... a bit irritated bc i dont know what else to do,

So recently, I spent some time beating my head against a wall until I learned to build a properly-functioning lower third animation that I can just plug-and-play into future Premiere projects. The idea was to design it so I would just have to type out the desired text, adjust 1-3 sliders, adjust duration if necessary, and move on to the next task. I exposed any parameters I could see myself wanting to adjust just in case.Well now that I've gone on to use it as intended, it turns out that there is one glaring limitation throwing a wrench in my workflow that I don't see a solution to. The editable text in an AE-created .mogrt does not appear to be anywhere near as editable as a text box in a Premiere-created .mogrt. In using a few stock Premiere templates, I've been able to adjust font settings on a per-character basis, which is important for making the title in a book citation italicized, or adding a second line with a smaller font when necessary.In my After Effects template, I did expo

 I'm building a project that uses a decent share of 2D files (Image Sequences, Images, Vectors, etc.) in a 3D space.In order to speed up performance and the final renders I'm using proxies when I can; however on compositions that include 3D layers, the proxy turns off the 3D of these layers. Here are 2 pictures to illustrate this:  \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\With the proxy OFF, the inside layers are still maintaining their 3D position and rotation//////////////////////     \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\With the proxy ON, the inside layers act as one 2D layer of footage. The only way to control it in 3D is via the controls over the whole composition//////////////////////   Here is a reference of the comp and general proxy settings.(Don't mind the resolution lol, that is just a placeholder atm)  I'm pretty sure the reason for this issue is that a proxy is basically just making a piece of footage out of my comp and that footage obviously

So basically it's been 3 days since I ever started animating, and today I tried to import and swf file from Animate to AE. And it did not work-- found out that this happens because of AE's recent update (It's my first time in AE as well)-- only the first frame was displayed then nothing else. So I tried directly putting a fla file and the advanced layers (Color effects, blending) won't be applied. What should I do?

Hi there, I'm wondering if you can make a precomp – let's say a rectangle - that has many children that are also rectangles with the same height and width. I want to be able to change the color of these children independently (or add masks on top of whichever ones I choose), so that each child looks distinct from all of the other children. The catch is that if I want to change a property of the parent, like its width, I want all of the children to update accordingly WITHOUT changing their individual colors and masks.  Is this possible? Thanks!Matt 

When I ever I put new clips or scenes in after effects It can not make it all the way through. Sometimes even with a 15 second clip. Right now I am working with 4k footage 3 min 30 second scene.It will only play/render to where the green line stops. I circled it. Then it goes back to the beginning. the more times I add stuff and try to play it the shorter the playback gets. When I start the computer over (off then on) It plays the first partial length. I have cleaned the cache. Hello all,I make an animation, duration = 7 sec, works out fine. More or less it's a simple lower third, with Rectangle & Tect layers.Something happens and I need to extend it from 7 sec to 12 sec, to fit the video better.So, I pre-comp, save the composition, open a new project (duration 12 sec) and import the saved comp.The new timeline is now 12 sec but everything (Rectangle + Text) dissapears at 7.00 ; no matter if I transfer the closing keyframes from 6.45 to 10.45 (to move the closing towards the 12 sec) ... there's nothing there after the 7.00 mark. It's like those keyframes don't exist.How can I counter that ? What is it that I'm missing ?Thank you in advance.

If I duplicate a comp that is in the project setting, I cant seem to reverse the order in which they are displayed. For instance, if I have 5 comps that have been duplicated from one, the last comp that I duplicate is 05 and its on top not the bottom. Heres a photo
