After Effects

It would be great to have the following two features:1.Scene Edit Detection feature also working with Compositions not only video files.Most of the time, I edit a video in 16by9 in one main comp and then take the same edit and adjust it to 9by16 and 1by1 format. It's annoying that the Scene Edit detection feature doesn't work for compositions, so I need to apply my edits to the Pre-Comp again.2. Size Preview for h264 / mp4 exports directly in After Effects.Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder do have this feature that shows the estimated file size, which also changes when changing the bitrate parameter. It would be great to have this preview also in Adobe After Effects.

I'm suggesting the null object to have a size property. This will give us the flexibility to use the scale for actual scaling. Use case:I have four elements, and I would like to scale them equally two by two by 20%. I'm creating a null for the first pair and another null for the others. Now, I'm resizing the nulls to match the visual footprint of the elements. At this point, I'm unable to scale both pairs equally, because both nulls have completely different values for scale. 

Adobe had just introduced importing 3D objects - and text layers are able to be converted to "3D Layers." But what seems to be missing (correct me if I'm wrong) is the ability to select a surface of a 3D object and apply a text layer to it. This would be a great feature inside AE - expecially if it is compatible with solutions like Dataclay Templater (which works with 3D Text layers if you apply it BEFORE converting the text layer to a 3D layer). This would make 3D mogrts with text variables possible as well.

Often times I need to add an adjustment layer to another layer but there are other layers below it that I don't want affected. The "option" to pick whip (or another method - list?) which layers are and are not affected would solve this. Anyone else see the value in this?

 AE color management don't work with "video out". When working with a second monitor or blackmagic video output you just get "none" in color profile. This is a BIG problem.As a quick solution is just put a option in preference to use same color display as the selected "primary viewer".The best solution would add the color profile option in the "video preview" under each of your output devices. By doing that, you will have the option of monitoring diffent color profiles at the same time.

This would have so many practical applications in education, in particular language learning, children's programming, karaoke... I'm sure AI could sort out how to break a word into syllables. 

To enhance the optimization of rendering times for scenes, it would be valuable to gain insights into the duration of each frame's rendering process. My vision involves the incorporation of a timeline graph that visually illustrates the fluctuations in render time per frame. During the rendering process, this timeline graph could be discretely tucked away beneath an arrow icon, conveniently positioned on the left side of the progress bar. This ensures a seamless user experience without any distractions. Once the rendering is complete, users should have the option to access this graph in the render panel, where it would remain hidden by default beneath each rendered item. This approach is akin to how Windows displays progress during file copy operations in a pop-up box. To prevent unnecessary clutter in computer storage, these statistics could be automatically erased when items are removed from the render panel.

In complex situations it would be nice to be able distinguish Puppet Pins by color.All these yellow dots mess up easily.Please add a color picker.

Hello, I am trying to find information on how to resize a stock video in After Effects. There is nothing. My issue is that no matter how much I try, the titles are not going to fit the screen. I don't know how to resize to a 1:1 or any of the other Instagram sizes. Why isn't Adobe creating Instagram Presets for not only After Effects, but for Premiere Pro, Media Encoder and others? 

I often find using Turbulent Displace a bit confusing, having to remember which setting is "amount" and which is "size". It'd be much more obvious if they were called "Amplitude" and "Wavelength"...because that's actually what these settings are.

Please Add Separate Dimensions to the Anchor Point track.We need it, just like on the Position track.

WHAT ABOUT BRINGING AFTER EFFECTS CAPABILITES TO AI. WHAT IF WE WILL BE ABLE TO ANIMATE OUR TEXTS AND LOGOS WITH JUST A SIMPLE PROMPT

Currently, 3D properties like position and orientation are not supported by MOGRTs. I'd like support for this.

It can be quite useful to have multiple options, and have only one of them able to be activated.

When you duplicate a text layer on AE, the layer keep the same name, even if you change the text in the field.It would nice that its name would change with the content of the field.

I don't know how hard this would be to pull-off, or if it's even possible, but I do know that it would be great if AE opened an AE project file with the version of the software that it was made with.

I have dual screen and there is only one maximize option in top right corner. My compostion screen always seprate from my timeline and most of the time I have to manualy increse my composition screen. It would be better if you can do it.

Time stretching with the Alt/Opt key is a great way to quickly adjust the length of an animation, but it almost always leads to subframe positioning of keyframes. There are plenty of scripts out there to fix the results of this problem (I use KEYboard), but it would be great if we could avoid this problem all together by holding the Shift key after we start Alt+Dragging. Shift would be in line with the existing behavior of snapping keys to other keys, layer in/out points, and marke

Maybe through an expression? I'm sure many have asked about this, but when you use a text animator like (ex.) Fade Up Words/Slide Up By Word, could there be a way to pickwhip the keyframing to a waveform of the audio track (or something), so you could quickly animate a block of text timed to the VO? They do it on TikTok, right?

It would  be nice if there was a preference to NOT open essential graphics in the properties panel. I work with some very deep essential graphics and if I open a comp with those and that layer selected, it takes quite awhile for the properties panel to populate and I can't work during that time.

I work in VR, and my AE projects are 8-16k wide (2:1 aspect ratio usually).The max zoom i can get is 200%, which makes it hard to see details for tracking or other detailed work. premiere allows 1600% zoom for the same project size, and photoshop allows to zoom in even more. please remove the zoom limit in aftereffects, and set it to something reasonable.

It would be great if AE updated markers from source automatically. I also have to do it manually and I see no reason why not have it updated automatically when I change markers in source composition. 

It would be great to add a function that allows you to move bezier handles of the Bezier Warp effect in a batch with multiple selections like a Puppet Pin tool. The current effect behavior is that if you click in the Composition panel with a group of selected key frames, all but the nearest handle will be deselected from the mouse cursor.Therefore, each handle needs to be adjusted one by one, which takes extra effort. Please implement this function.Thanks.
