3D camera tracker not working

Hello All!  I've recently ran into an issue that is quite frustrating. Any insight would be much appreciated!  Issue: The 3D camera tracker is not working as expected. After its analysis process, it simply does not display any of the track points. Additionally, it's having difficulty analyzing clips in detail. (A hard time tacking floor and wall surfaces but has many track points on trees.)  Context: I regularly use this feature of after effects but I noticed the issue happening after the more recent update. The only way I am able to view the track points is when I click the "Render Track Points" option in the effect options. With that said, these are unclickable or useable points. They are just juxtaposed on top of the clip. I have read many threads and have attempted their solutions. Nothing has worked yet. 3d Camera Tracker Error 'unable to obtain dynamiclink server connection'. I have re-installed and updated to the latest release. Please note I do not use dynamic link ever! 2017 Imac Monterey Vers 12.6 64GB Ram, Radeon Pro 580 8 GB. Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated. When I'm working in my preview window everything looks fine, but when I render out the animation a text layer suddenly disappears

I'm having a bit of trouble exporting a video. In the animation there is a box with an email address that comes up, and it transitions into the next shot by spinning on the Y axis (this is in a pre-comp). In the first picture I've attached you can see everything looks fine, but for some reason when I export the video the email addresses disappear just as it spins to transition out. It's strange how when I'm editing it everything is fine in the preview window but you can see in the pictures I've attached it's rendering it out differently. For security reasons I’ve censored the email addresses, but you get the idea.It if helps, the email address layers are text layers and has the following effects applied: Animation: Slider, Cursor On/Off, Cursor Shape, Cursor Blink SpeedHope someone can help - thank you!

Will this build handle heavy After Effects 2026 rendering without choking?

Hello community,I am planning to upgrade my workspace setup and looking to buy a pre-built configuration to avoid assembly issues. Blocage Media Encoder / Rendu fichier .aep

J'ai un probleme avec media encoder. Quand After effect crash en arrière plan, cela ouvre un fenetre d'erreur pour envoyer le rapport de plantage à Adobe et bloque completement le rendu global. Une fois cette fenetre fermé le rendu reprend. Ce bug est très handicapant pour un rendu qui doit se terminer tout seul pendant la nuit. Comment faire pour désactiver ce comportement ?

Frame.io v4 completely broken in After Effects

My Frame.io account was just upgraded to v4 and I’m now unable to use Frame.io inside After Effects.I’m on Windows 11 and I’ve updated to the latest version of After Effects 2026 v26.3 and see the legacy Frame.io review window in the review workspace. This old legacy window no longer works with my v4 Frame.io account - that I understand. Unfortunately going to Window > Frame.io V4 does absolutely nothing. No new windows are opened and I’m completely dead in the water. Things I’ve tried so far:Uninstall AE 2026, reinstall without retaining any previous settings - same issueStart AE 2026 in safe mode - same issueControl Panel > Credential Manager > completely deleted anything related to Adobe or Frame.io, restarted windows, launched AE 2026 - same issue

After Effects. Recenter Comp view?

I did my searching and found nothing so far.The Issue:In a comp view pane, if you use the hand tool or shortcut to move the comp view around, is there a way to recenter the view to default?  This would be useful, if I have three or more comps that I want to click the tabs to compare for differences.  As it is now, each comp has an view offset setting remembered.  I would like to recenter the comp view for one or all comps.Is this possible?Thanks!

Shortcuts wont work on Search Bar / Replace Dialog Box / MacOS

I am unable to interact with shortcuts on the search bar on the "Replace Footage/File" Dialog Box from the Project panel. After effects 25.5.0 Build 4Meaning I cannot paste the long file name I just copied and have to manually type. I cannot copy or select the text neither. It has happened on both macOS Tahoe and also macOS Sequoia. Please fix this

Animating 3D models

Hello there,I am new in 3D modelling and I am looking to experiment 3D models and animate them frame by frame for a video.My question is, which Adobe software should I be experimenting with? I know with Adobe Felix you can import a model and arrange it but is it only for still images? or can you potentially use it for frame by frame animating?I know its unlikely but is there anyway you can import a 3D model into After Effects and animate it there?Thank you for your help guys!

Unable to edit expression on property after dragging a link

I’m new to expression controls in After Effects, so please be kind if I am missing something here.I am trying to rotate a bezier triangle distributed around a circular path.To do this, I set the copies property expression to a Slider Expression Control (with a bunch of math to make the slider go from 0 to 100% of the maximum number of triangles that can rotate around the circle.)When I create a second repeater, I open the Transform Repeater Rotation control and click the spiral button to drag it to the previous Transform Repeater control Rotation value. (so they both rotate the same)But now, I want to add a value to the control, so I should be able to expand the Rotation Control and see the expression under it. Clicking on the expression allows me to edit the expression. HOWEVER, I can only see half of the expression level under my rotation. It’s not clickable or accessible. All you can see are the tops of the word “Expression Control” because the line is ½ height or smaller. I have tr

For returning projects, it would be be nice when Freeze files could be stored outside the cache folders, in a user chosen project folder. This prevents from pre-rendering Freeze files when the caches are cleared (which is necessary once in a while).

Timeline Scrollbar is broken in v25.5

After the latest update the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the timeline is bugged.As soon as you adjust the length of a compostion, the scrollbar glitches out and you can no longer scroll to the end of the composition. Only by adjusting the zoom level of the timeline does the scrollbar then somehow fix itself. Speaking of the timeline zoom, the zoom level will randomly changes to full frame-level zoom when navigating through a comp timeline. Set up is: After Effects 25.5.0 Build 4, Windows 11 Home 24H2 (26100.6584) This same problem happens on two completely separate PC's

Allow copy and paste feature to work when searching for missing files.Needs More Info

For many years I was able to copy the name of a missing file and paste it into the search window when attempting to relink a missing file. It seems that Adobe has removed that feature. I don’t remember what version of After Effects this first happened, but I can no longer do that. Copying the name of a missing video or image no longer works. That standard feature helped tremendously when searching for missing files or trying to relink them. My request is that you restore that very simple feature.

AE - Disk Cache - Available Space Issue - but plenty of space

All of a sudden AE is giving me a "not enough available space" warning but the cache drive has 4TB open  and it's just set to 100GB default. This just started. Reset prefs. I change the it another drive (at 1TB open) and it does the same thing. Even if I turn the the cache size to 20GB it still does it. No clue.

The Copy Frame to Clipboard button is a really good addition, and being able to paste to disk is a great improvement.I’d like to suggest that it could be improved further by adding modifiers to the button, adding extra functionality.For example, Alt+Shift+Click could open a file browser, allowing the user to choose the save location and amend the filename if needed.Alt+Click could directly save the current frame to the last used location. If no previous location was found it would bring up the file browser to set a location as above. It would be useful if the last used file path was shown in a tooltip on hover, as well as the modifiers and their uses.An unmodified click would continue to work as-is.The benefit of this would be reducing friction and repetitive tasks when exporting frames for use in decks/presentations etc, freeing up artist time and helping to keep the flow. Adding these features as modifiers to an existing button mean it would not add to the amount of UI buttons, and b

Procedural animation: How does one achieve this without manually animating everything?

I’m specifically trying to recreate this here where futuristic code seems to be eating away at the screen, this background loading animation is used in a few other places as well.https://streamable.com/850t1sWhat I can’t figure out is how they managed to,make the little ‘x’s change into another symbol, then to an ‘M’ symbol. have the symbols move around and eat away at the screen.Is there a way to achieve this via expressions?Bungie game studio released their game Marathon this March, with it some amazing animation styles worked on by brilliant people. I’ve been going through their in-game animations and there are a lot of things I can’t figure out how they managed to do, mostly the 2D stuff.

Unable to delete a User Preset

I dragged the Warp Stabilizer effect with its parameters set to the Effects & Presets window.Now I want to delete this preset.Right-clicking doesn't give me the delete option, and clicking the Del button doesn't delete the preset either.I'm reporting this as a bug.

Imported PSDs & PSD Layers are Short Image Sequences

I have a project with several comps that are each about seven seconds long.When I try to import a new PSD into the project as a composition, it is forcing the new comps to be two frames long.When I try to import individual footage layers into a composition, it looks like it is making each layer a two-frame image sequence.For over two decades, a PSD imported into After Effects for me has always been the length of the last created composition. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
