Hi guys I am unable to start animate 2022 and 2023, I can start only 2020I have a lot of installed adobe software on my computer at the moment (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, after effect, premiere, dreamviwer) and I never ever have any problems with the instalation or with working in the mentioned softwares, except Animate. I really tried almost everything to start working but just failing on me.I working on a desktop computer. I tried to uninstall the 2020, that I have only 22 or 23 but not working Here is a video:https://www.loom.com/share/ba47b06b9f8c464384b930f8c545ce43

Hi guys! I just started using Adobe Animate, so new user here 🙂I wanna use some different brushes, but everytime I paint with a brush from brush library, Animate just lags and the message "adobe animate is not responding" appears, then I have to close it and open it again. It's really annoying and I have no idea how to fix this issue 😕😕My computer is new and I'm convinced this isn't a problem from the system, so I'm here to find out if this happens to anyone else and how this is fixed.  Addicionally, I'd like to know if there's any way to dowload presets for brushes instead of using Adobe's. I searched for it, but didn't find anything. Thank you for reading it!

I'm trying to make some chains in adobe animate but I couldn't think any other tool that would help me animate chains in symbols. So what would be the most efficient way to connect the chains with the bone tool?  

Following "storkw/ Baby" tutorial. last step: scroll background across stage. followed all steps, then when instructed to "create tween", all that's avail is "insert tween", which dont work. is it me, instruction, or SW?please help a newby...

Hi there. I'm new and naive to adobe animate and makes 3-4 min quick animations. I have a low end pc and animate seems to work fine i have adequate ram. and planning to make longer 10 min videos. i don't want to hung on time. so i'll update some hardwares i don't have a graphic card and i'm short on money. i've done some research and some sources are suggesting that adobe animate doesn't requires a graphic card for  2D animation. and on offcial site it just says open gl 3.3. now i'm confused if i should buy graphic card or just update my processor. please do help telling me if it requires a graphic card or not. i'll buy as per my needs.Even just Yes/NO answers would be helpfull and apreciated. thanks please do answer i'll be greatfull

Is there a command in AS3 the limits the duration of a video in a swf file? I have a scene with a size of 200 frames. When I want to play it in a swf file, I don't need to see the whole scene (200 frames), but a certain part (20-60 frames).

HiI worked on a animated Menu with petals. (https://community.adobe.com/t5/animate-discussions/im-kreis-angeordnetes-animiertes-menu/m-p/1335285...)With some great help from kglad I got the menu to work the way I wanted it to.Now I would like to go one step further and put an animation in front, which finally leads to the flower menu. I thought I could put a lot of keyframes in front of the Scene1 and put in the opening animation there. But unfortunately I didn't manage it. Where should I start? RegardsChristoph 

I'm having a very weird issue where I can't open a specific file. If I try to open this file, the program freezes and doesn't load it. No error message appears, it just goes back like I never tried opening it. The file isn't corrupted as far as I'm aware because I edited and saved it just fine. Maybe the file is too big? But the animation is only 10 seconds?

Not sure if this is an error or a limitation of the free trial.I've downloaded the free trial of Adobe Animate and was especially looking forward to the fluid brush styles which imitate real world pen and crayon textures and such, but the brush style option isn't displaying on my UI at all. Under Color and Style only color shows. When I go to the brush library I'm told to double click art brushes to add them to the project. This does nothing.My computer is only a year old and has decent specs (I'm still on windows 10 however), so I don't think that's the issue. I'm wondering if it's because it's the free trial and some options are limited? This has made a very bad impression, if that's the case. 

Hello Again!I was wondering what these lines were in an animation I'm making? In the animation a rectangle expands from a smaller size, so the user can see it. It's meant to look kind of like a holographic screen?If someone could help it'd be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I've learned to use auto lipsynce and mine looka a bit choppy. I'd like to make my character's mouth to look similar to the character in this video. I did add a jaw layer and try to parent it to the mouth, but I'm not sure classic tweening would help or not. I know freestyle lipsync (drawing each frame) is a good suggestion, but Ireally want to learn more about using symbols and the mexhanics to make smooth animation with it. Does adobe animate cc requires a graphics card ? i don't have graphics card it's wokring fine for quick animations. you can answer in yes and no 

I have a night scene where the light from a lantern reveals small parts of the environment as the lantern sways.I was going to use a gradient oval shape for the light source. Adobe Animate mask doesn't work with gradients. This is a very easy thing to do in other animation software, but I am required to use Animate for this project. What workaround can I use to make this happen? Thanks

I have an animation of 25 fps - jpg. When I view this animation in the program (ctrl+Enter) everything is fine. When I export the animation to an EXE file the frames from about 180-250 flicker as if there are empty frames between them. My composition is set to 25 fps, if I change it to 19 everything is fine, but if I set the number of frames 20 and above the screen flickers always at the end of the animation. This is terribly frustrating.

I am having this compatibility issue in Animate between Windows and MacOS.I create this text layer with the mask in Mac OS. And then I open the same exact file in Windows. It has shifting position. It is the same thing when I do the opposite. I create this text layer with the mask in Windows. And then I open the same file in Mac OS. It is displaced.I tried these two files in both AnimateCC 2019 and 2020.

I have been using Animate for a year now, and when I recently switched companies, I installed Adobe CC on my newly assigned laptop and found the apps working well except for Animate. It hangs every time I run it. I have to shut down the app using the task manager and run it again. When it runs after a few tries, it will freeze at 80% during publishing to HTML5. The funny thing is, it got published the first time but would not publish again. I could make it run if I converted it to Actionscript but that would mean publishing to video only, and I need the output in HTML5 so I could add interactions. I tried installing older versions of Animate but the results were the same. My laptop is a Dell Precision with i7/32G/SSD1T and NVIDIA Quadro P1000 graphics.  Kindly help.

 Hello,Recently I've downloaded the newest version of Adobe Animate CC.Windows and elements are not displaying properly. Minimizing the window doesn't change anything. At first I thought it was just a bug on my pc, but no matter who I talk to the program looks the same. It could be the fault of the polish version. I wonder if there is a way to repair it somehow? 

Hi, I'm trying to make the timeline within a movie clip go to and stop on a random frame numer initiated with a button click.I have a button called "testbtn" and a movieclip called "testmc"I'm storing the frame numbers I want to be able to go to in an array and then picking a number from that array randomly, and then inserting that number into an "on-click" event. The code I have is:  var _this = this; this.frameA = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]; var randomframe = Math.floor(Math.random() * this.frameA.length); this.testbtn.on('click', function(){ _this.testmc.gotoAndStop(this.randomframe); }); But it doesn't seem to work. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?  

I am trying to make a spelling packet for my 9-year-old son, who is in special education. I know how to make a text field and how to distribute it. I know that there is a font option in preferences for the text field, but it does nothing when I type in the spelling words to be distributed. They are small and top/left aligned. I cannot for the life of me get that to change. Please help!

SVGA! forcing us app designers to lottie and rive- really?its a shame and awkward we dont have svga in 2023. we signed up for a paid rive account (nice but not close to adobe animate) because you dont manage?Paying adobe users since 24 years, CS and later CC since day one.this is really disappointing. i hate rive and lottie, and im paying for the whole agency CC accounts already….

I'm a beginner and trying to follow a series of LinkedIn tutorials to learn how to make simple animations. In the early stages of the series, the LinkedIn tutor points us learners to Default Assets in the Asset Panel. Indeed, so does the in-app instructional video. HOWEVER, when it comes to my Default Assets, there is only one. Also, if you look closely you can see that the cloud icon is greyed out which means it ain't working.Can someone please tell me how I'm meant to get those default assets into the Assets panel. I have honestly tried everything; being connected to internet, being logged in, and lots of other fiddling around. I notice a few other people have had problems with this. Can someone please tell me which folder I should try to upload and how I might be able to link to it?
