Available in Build 18 or higher (26.2.0.18)It was almost a year ago that we launched the new Search Panel in Premiere. At that time, you could search your clips using Media Intelligence, including visuals, transcript, and metadata. Finding things with AI is cool and useful! However, we also know that every video editor has your own way of tagging and organizing takes and clips. As a result, we have added Marker Search to the Search Panel, making it much faster to find and compile clips that you or your collaborators have already tagged with markers, across your entire project. How It WorksOpen the Search panel Use the Markers dropdown Choose one of two ways to search: Search by marker text – find words from the marker Name or Comment Filter by marker color – click the Filter button to add a Marker Color filter and see only markers of a certain color Using text to search for markers What You Can SearchMarker Search looks across your entire project. In version v25.1 or earlier of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder, video formats that are hardware accelerated by previous generations of NVIDIA GPUs are already hardware accelerated by NVIDIA’s new Blackwell Architecture GPUs. No update to our applications is required. Now in beta is support for an exciting new feature, unique to NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs: hardware acceleration of 10-bit 4:2:2 media in both H.264 and HEVC codecs. These formats combine small file size and great quality, and now with hardware acceleration from Blackwell, great performance. Please note: Hardware acceleration is available for H.264 & HEVC 10-bit 4:2:2 media in the MP4 and MOV containers. Support for MXF media will be coming later this year. Full-range files are currently being decoded as limited range files. This is a bug that will be fixed in an upcoming beta. If you’re a Windows customer with a B
We’re excited to push an early development preview of new masking workflows to Premiere Pro (beta). Whether you are color grading, applying effects, or cutting objects out from the background, these new masking tools are built to help editors work faster, smarter, and more creatively without needing to go to After Effects for simple tasks. Note: This beta is an early look at upcoming Premiere Pro workflows and is not intended to reflect general availability performance or polish. Please contact us with bugs, feedback, and feature requests to improve these features. Object Mask – Automatically identify objects and people in your footage using AI and isolate them with a single click. Plus mask refinement tools and fast tracking throughout clips. Redesigned Shape Masks – the traditional shape mask tools (ellipse, rectangle, pen) have been rebuilt from the ground up with many performance and UI improvements. Faster Shape Mask Tracking – the tracking algorithm has been
Hey, beta users! Starting today, October 24, Premiere Pro betas will switch from v25.6 to the next major version, v26. We make this switch once a year, when we get close to shipping the last dot release of a major version and move to the beta of the next major version. Premiere Pro will guide you through the project upgrade and automatically version the project file. Unless you specifically save over the original file, you will have a backup. As with previous major version changes, Premiere Pro projects saved in v26 cannot be opened in earlier versions of Premiere Pro, including the shipping version (v25.5 at the time of this post). This means that a project opened and saved in the v26 beta cannot be moved back to the shipping version. It is also required to have v26 of After Effects and Media Encoder to make use of Dynamic Link. It's recommended that all three be updated at the same time. As always, we recommend that you d
We will update our system requirements with the next major release of our video applications. This includes the 26.0 versions of After Effects, Audition, Character Animator, Media Encoder, and Premiere Pro. We update our system requirements each year, which allows Premiere to take full advantage of these platforms and helps ensure optimal performance for you. Minimum macOS Requirements: macOS Sonoma (version 14) or later. We recommend running our applications on the latest operating systems: macOS 26 Tahoe (version 26.1) Please note that support for macOS Ventura (version 13) is discontinued. It will not be possible to install the 26.0 versions of our video applications on macOS 13 or older.
We’re excited to announce that support for Nikon’s N-RAW format is now in beta for Premiere Pro, as well as After Effects, Media Encoder, and Audition. Support for N-RAW was added via the RED SDK, which means that customers will modify N-RAW settings via Effect Controls > RED Source Settings. Support for N-RAW, including hardware acceleration, is available on Apple silicon computers and Windows computers with CUDA and OpenCL support. N-RAW will not be supported on Macintosh Intel computers. We’ve love to get your feedback on this update!
We’re excited to announce that support for the RED R3D NE raw format — used by the Nikon ZR camera — is now available in beta for Premiere Pro, as well as After Effects, Media Encoder, and Audition. Support for R3D NE, including hardware acceleration, is available on Apple silicon systems and on Windows computers with CUDA or OpenCL support. R3D NE is not supported on Intel-based Macs. Note: The Nikon ZR supports 32-bit float audio recording, on both external microphones and the camera's internal microphone. Premiere Pro does support 32-bit float audio files but does not correctly display audio waveforms that are above 0 dB. This means that lowering the volume on a file with clipped audio will improve the sound quality but the change will not be reflected accurately in the file's audio waveform. Audition does correctly display 32-bit float audio waveforms. We’d love to get your feedback on this update!

The Premiere Pro Team is excited to introduce a new Beta feature: Video Transition Handles. This update makes it faster and more intuitive to create and edit transitions directly on video clips, just like you already can with audio. Video Fade Handles allow users to control the transition duration directly from the timeline, providing a way to create and modify the timing of transitions. Key Enhancement Drag the new handles at clip edges in the timeline to quickly fade video clips in or out. The handle appears directly on each clip, showing transition length instantly for one or multiple clips. More Control with Transitions Want to use your favorite transitions on the video fade handles? No problem.Video Fade Handles respect your default transition defaults, meaning the transtion will automatically use the tran
We are excited to announce the public beta release of Windows on ARM native support in Premiere Pro! We expect Premiere Pro to run on all Windows computers that are using Qualcomm Snapdragon X Series ARM architecture-based processors. Some features of Premiere Pro on Windows Intel systems will not be available when using Premiere Pro on Windows ARM, either in beta or in the final release. These features are: Loudness Radar effect (Loudness Meter is a replacement for Loudness Radar) Export to Wraptor DCP Import and export of the GoPro CineForm codec Export to the P2 Movie format Some features of Premiere Pro on Windows Intel systems are not currently available in the beta of Premiere Pro on Windows ARM but will be available in a future release. These features include: Support for 3rd party extensions (including plugins and audio plugins) Support for ProRes Import and export Using ProRes for proxies, render & replace, or as a sequence setting video preview option; see below for
Hi all, Our friends at Nikon recently released a set of LUTs for converting N-RAW footage from one log format to another. These LUTs have a very specific purpose, which we thought would be helpful to clarify here. In short, the conversion LUTs are only needed in two cases: You’re using Nikon’s RED LUTs designed for N-Log, or You’re using a custom LUT created for N-Log. Those creative LUTs expect the source footage to be in the Rec.2020 color space with N-Log gamma, since that’s how Nikon designed them. However, Premiere Pro uses RED’s R3D SDK to process R3D, R3D NE, and N-RAW files, and that SDK does not support Rec.2020 or N-Log. Instead, it processes all three formats into REDWideGamutRGB color space with Log3G10 gamma. That’s actually a good thing. For example, REDWideGamutRGB covers a wider gamut than Rec.2020, and Log3G10 offers smoother highlight roll-off and excellent dynamic range handling. If you want to get the creative look of
We’re excited to announce that Advanced Filtering is now available in the Premiere Pro Search Panel in public beta! Advanced filtering allows you to refine your search results with precision by applying filters based on metadata. Whether you’re working with hundreds of clips or trying to track down that one perfect shot, Advanced Filtering helps you zero in faster. With Advanced Filtering, you can: Add metadata-based rules (e.g. File Type, Frame Rate, Status, Audio/Video, Label Color) Stack up to 8 different filters to combine search criteria Save time by surfacing only what’s relevant to your current task This builds on the core Search Panel by giving you even more control over how you navigate and organize your media—no more digging through bins or relying on naming conventions alone. Example Use Cases: Search for all offline video clips with a green label Filter down to audio-only assets with a specific keyword in the name Refine result
We continue our Media Intelligence journey with the ability to search for sounds (Audio Search) and similar visual frames (Search Similar). You can try them out in Premiere Pro Beta v25.6 build 41 or later. Audio Search We launched Visual Search in the Search Panel this Spring, helping you find the perfect clip using natural language to describe visual scenes. Now you can search for those things that are harder to scrub and see: cheering crowds, barking dogs, train engines, and crying. If you have a large sound effects library, you can quickly hone in on relevant sound effects without knowing the name of the clip, simply by typing in “swoosh” or “lightning crack thunder.” How to use Audio Search Open the Search Panel using the magnifying lens icon in the top-right corner of Premiere Pro 2. Type a description of the audio that you want to find into the Search Panel bar. 3. You can filter by “Everything” (meaning Audio, Video, Transcription and Metadata) or
Have you ever interviewed someone who couldn’t control their potty mouth? Do you have a list of words that can’t be broadcast in your region? Well, we have the answer for you! Now you can mute or bleep any censored words using Text-Based Editing, in Premiere Pro Beta v25.6 build 38 or later. How to use it: Open a sequence with transcribed clips Open the Text Panel to the Transcript tab Click the Filter button, choose “Censored words”, then the Censored words list dialog will open Add your words to the list, then click Save In the Transcript, click Apply Effect and choose an effect Click either Replace or Replace all Premiere Pro will then mute the dialog where the censored word occurs and, if you chose Bleep, cut in a tone on a new track. (We have other fun sounds as well, some of which were recorded in the homes of our own team members.) The mute is done with an instance of the Amplify effect, so your existing volume levels or keyframes won’t change. &n
We are excited to announce H264 & HEVC Hardware Decoding on Qualcomm GPUs for Windows on ARM native support. This new functionality enables hardware decoding of H264 (4:2:0 8bit) and HEVC (4:2:0 8bit and 10bit) codecs in MP4 and MOV containers, ensuring smoother playback and editing workflows. We also now provide support for ProRes in Premiere Pro on Windows ARM in public beta! This also allows smooth implementation of features where ProRes is the default setting: 1. A new sequence can be created using the New Sequence dialog. 2. When using Render and Replace, QuickTime format can be selected. 3. When creating proxies, the ProRes QuickTime Proxy can be selected. Thank you for being a part of our beta community and for your continued support!

Why it matters: HDR-ready workflows now support 16Bit PNG source media. Avoid banding artifacts and preserve more color detail in post. How to see this new feature in action: Update to the latest Premiere Pro beta: v25.6 build 64 or newer. Create a new project. Import a 16-bit PNG file and add it to a sequence. Open Lumetri Scopes — you'll notice a denser, more detailed pattern, showing the improved bit depth handling. Let us know what you think!
We’re excited to share that the Adobe Stock Unified Content Panel (UCP) is now available in the latest beta version of Premiere Pro. The Stock UCP brings Adobe Stock directly into your workspace through one centralized location: Search, browse, and preview multiple Stock asset types without leaving Premiere Pro. License and download assets straight into your project. How to try it: In the latest version of Premiere Pro Beta (v25.6.0.45), open a new project or load an existing project. Go to Window > Adobe Stock and dock the opened panel in your preferred location in the workspace. FAQ: Q: What types of assets are supported in the Beta? A: Currently, the beta supports images, videos, and MOGRTs from Adobe Stock. Q: Do I need an Adobe Stock subscription to use this? A: You can search and preview for free. Licensing requires an Adobe Stock plan or credits. Q: How does sign‑in work?&
Premiere Pro, version 23.6 and later, offers support for automatic detection and interpretation of some camera log video color space formats. To enable this feature, you have to make sure you have “Auto Detect Log Video Color Space” turned on. In Premiere Pro v23.6, you can access this control via File > Project Settings > Color and then checking this box: In Premiere Pro v24 and later, you can either use that method to enable the feature, or you can access it in the new Lumetri Settings panel under the Project Settings section: It can sometimes get a little confusing because some cameras offer log video space in multiple formats (mp4, mxf, mov), while Premiere Pro's auto log detection and interpretation may only work with one of them. In the cases where you recorded your video in log space, but the auto detection feature isn’t supported, or isn’t working, you can still use the new automated color management system. Simply override the
Premiere Pro Beta introduces GPU acceleration for Camera Blur Effect on Windows and Macintosh. Our GPU implementation delivers improved rendering performance for this effect, enabling smoother playback and faster exports. Please let us know what you think.
The Premiere Pro Audio Team is thrilled to announce a new feature in Beta 25.3 (Build 57): Live Waveform Feedback. This Beta release focuses on enhancing audio editing workflows by providing real-time waveform feedback and improving audio visibility during clip edits and movements. These features make audio adjustments more intuitive, precise, and efficient, allowing editors to see the impact of changes immediately. Key Enhancements: Show Waveform While Moving a Clip: Users can see the audio waveform update dynamically as they move clips across the timeline. The latest beta versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder now include support for ARRI’s ARRIRAW HDE support. ARRIRAW HDE (High Density Encoding) is the compressed version of ARRIRAW. Files encoded with HDE are approximately 60% of the original file size. The compression is completely lossless. ARRIRAW HDE playback is hardware accelerated on Apple silicon computers and Windows computers with an NVIDIA GPU. We would love to get your feedback on ARRIRAW HDE support! Regards, Fergus
We just rebuilt the Frame.io V4 panel from the ground up, and it's is now in Premiere Pro (beta) 25.6. This is a significant update. Browse and import assets from Frame.io V4 accounts, export, upload, play, share and manage comments for your sequences, all from one panel. What is it? When we launched the Frame.io V4 Comments panel in Fall of 2024, we heard from many of you that you wanted more than just sharing and commenting on individual sequences. For those who needed more, this is for you. Many of you asked for an easy way to see all of your Frame.io Accounts, Projects, and Media, all in one place. You didn't just want to share edits with your producer, you wanted to import clips uploaded to Frame.io from your camera. Now, most of what you can do in Frame.io on the web, you can now do in Premiere Pro. And if that wasn't enough, we've made syncing comments from Frame.io to your Premiere timeline better than ever. Comments in Frame.io are
Hi all, We're excited to get your feedback on a significant improvement to Premiere Pro's timeline. We've made changes to how thumbnails display, making the timeline smoother and snappier. What’s New? This release changes how thumbnails are displayed, reducing flicker. Because of this, multiple ways in which you interact with the timeline are faster and more stable. Zooming in and out of the timeline (especially using the zoom scroll bars) Performing trim, slip, slide, ripple, and other edit operations Remember that you can also toggle between different thumbnail display modes: head only, head + tail, or continuous, using the timeline display settings menu (the hamburger icon just to the right of the sequence name in the timeline panel). This gives you more control over how thumbnails appear based on your editing needs. These improvements are designed to reduce visual noise and help you stay focused on your edit, e
As of Premiere Pro v25.2, the option to choose software rendering was removed on Windows, Intel-based Macs, and in Media Encoder across all platforms. In v25.2, users could still temporarily enable software rendering by holding the Shift key while launching Premiere Pro and selecting “Use Software Rendering Only (one-time only).” In the latest beta versions of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, this fallback has now been fully removed – software rendering is no longer available. Software rendering can significantly reduce performance and limit rendering to 8-bit, which may cause image quality issues. Our goal is to ensure that Premiere Pro and Media Encoder always render correctly using the GPU. If you encounter a project that renders correctly in software mode but not in v25.2, we’d greatly appreciate your feedback. Please follow the instructions here to report the issue:👉 https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/how-to-report-a-problem/idi-p/13361863 Best regards,
