Hey guys! Question about the Remix song feature in Adobe Audition. I use it a lot to quickly cut down songs to shorter lengths for social media. Sometimes it works flawlessly on the first try, but it seems to make cuts at random depending on what length you tell it to make the song. I'd love to be able to more precisely choose which sections of the song it keeps, for example: Shorten the Intro from 30 seconds to 10, keep this drop, this middle section and the outro and make it all :30 seconds. There may be a way to do that but I don't know the program very well, this is pretty much the only feature I use it for. I'm a one man band filmmaker and not an Audio guy. Any help is very much appreciated!
I use a Magic Trackpad or MBP touchpad when working in Audition. I could scroll and pinch to zoom in with precision (even while the audio was playing). In the last few updates, this has gone downhill in a big way. Scrolling almost invariably now zooms out and the scrolling motion is... I believe the term is "janky". PLEASE fix -- this is adding significant time to my editing workflow. What was once seamless and invisible is now a glaring time suck. Thanks for looking at it.
Since the most recent update, all my clips are defaulting to symmetrical crossfades rather than asymmetrical.Symmetrical crossfades do not work for dialogue editing, since asymmetry maintains the noise floor evenly.Every edit I make, I now have to right click the fade square and set it to asymmetrical, which is annoying and taking me a lot of extra time that adds up over thousands of edits per episode.I looked in the preferences panel and couldn't find any setting to change this back, nor have I been able to find the answer within the manual/documentation.
It'd be great to have presets for ID3 metadata. When producing a podcast most of that info remains the same. At present I'm having to type it out (or copy/paste) each field. A nice drop down menu with presets would be a real time saver!
I record 32 tracks of live audio coming into Audition via Dante. It is cumbersome to click each individual track to arm them all for recording. A single "arm all" button would make this task so much faster.
The ability to directly open a premiere project in Audition to do the audio work is great, nice job Adobe. But, I often use 'fill left with right' or right with left as the mic is normally only into one channel or the other channel is unsuitable. It is a fast 'effect' added at track level in Premiere but it is shown as not supported when you open the project in Audition. Messes up the entire audio at the point where you want to finish the audio. This would be so helpful for video editors, please
Look guys... everyone else is doing it. It's very simple. And this lack of functionality has actually caused us to move away from Audition for recent episodes. It works like this:Step 1) Enable Ripple editing (global)Step 2) Move a clipStep 3) Watch all the other clips subsequent to that one, on all tracks or just one track (as selected by you), move by the exact same amount - so you're not overwriting by accident on the one hand, or having to zoom way out on your timeline in order to manually select everything that has to move as well on the other (except for Markers of course, apparently we're still not allowed to select them for movement no matter what).BONUS: Markers will follow the movement of clips as well under Ripple, and are not permanently pinned to the timeline - so that the really important thing you wanted to remind yourself to insert a visual aid for later stays atop the appropriate content it was created for in the first place. There is no excuse for not already having t
Please, you could add more surround options, such as 7.1, 9.1 and more, like in other audio softwares (Pro Tools or Logic Pro for example).Thank You. You're the Best.
I would like the ability to have the Edit Mode open on one screen and the Multitrack Mode open on another screen. The way I cut in Premiere is similar. I have Source and Program Monitors, along with Project, Effects, etc. on one screen and a large timeline for the entirety of the second monitor screen.I'd love to be able to do something similar in Audition. Have both Edit and Multi-track open at all times. This way I can easily and quickly doctor clips, then immediately adjust in the multitrack view.
Sometimes we don't have the privilege of gathering room tone, or room tone changes midway throughout a clip (A/C turns on, for example).Ideally, you could run a process (similar to Capture Noise Print) that takes your selection and looks for the quietest bits. Using this, it would generate tone that would match the room tone/ambience of the clip.iZotope RX 6 has a similar feature under the name "Ambience Match," which is an absolute lifesaver.
Currently Adobe doesn't provide the "syn Settings" option. Consequentially I'm unable to transfer my settings in Audition from one workstation to another. This is a contradiction to the intentions in the creative cloud which is under these circumstances only a limited creative cloud.
If I have two mono clips on two separate mono tracks, a cool feature would be the ability to select both clips, and drag them onto an empty stereo track, which automatically creates a stereo clip containing the audio. This would be very helpful when it comes to stereo delays, reverbs, etc.
After I record ADR or FOLEY cues in my Record Templates, I want to be able to import those unedited tracks into my Edit/Mix Session that already exists. I can copy clips from tracks, but I can't import tracks with the settings and names, etc. ProTools has this feature. I can't find a way to do this in Audition. It is so necessary for a smooth post audio workflow. Thanks.
Just like with After Effects, can you please create the ability to dynamic link Audition into Premiere.I create the audio/narration first, and then add video to it. It's a workaround now, and it would be beneficial if I could import the Audition file into Premiere and be able to tweak it while producing the video.
Now that Premiere Pro has integrated the Pandemic Sound music library into the Essential Sound panel and users everywhere are enjoying the ease of use that comes along with this arrangement, it begs the obvious question: why not have this same functionality in Audition? This would be an absolutely game changing feature for those of us who spend extended amounts of time in Audition and who also regularly need to audition music from outside sources. I'm also surprised that evidently no one here has asked this question yet, unless I have missed it. So, let's make some noise fellow audio gurus! Thanks everyone!!!
Please create adobe audition appExactly like windows
It is just one more out of MANY steps I have to perform each time I have to go in and select my file type while saving a file. There's also the opportunity to accidentally select the wrong type (because MP3 and MP2 are RIGHT NEXT to one another). Having a DEFAULT file type to save to would save a LOT of time.
It would be very useful to us if there were a history brush tool in Adobe Audition. For example you are removing breathing sound from a voice clip manually and after finishing the work you suddenly notice that you have made a part of the voice silent mistakenly in the beginning. Now you need to go to history panel, undo all of your work and then need to do all the work again. If the voice is longer the frustration would be worse. But if there was a history brush tool then you just don't need to take all these trouble. So, please add History brush tool in Adobe Audition to undo changes in a part of an audio.
There should be a way to adjust horizontal scrolling speed (shift+scrollwheel). the default settings are unusable slow. Please make it a setting that can be adjusted or improve the speed greatly
Most podcast apps support chapter markers through the ID3-tags, which makes it easier for users to skip to a certain topic they like. In Audition markers are embedded into exported files using XMP and it isn't possible to export them to the ID3-tags of an mp3-file. This means podcast producers must use seperate tooling just to add chapters to an episode. It would be much easier if there was an option to directly export the marks to the ID3-tags.
I’ll just post a (slightly modified for context) message that I sent to Jason Levine as an open letter since there is literally no information or outreach about this out there. TL;DR, I’m very close to switching DAWs (likely Pro Tools) even though I don’t want to. Between this and a lack of a real strip silence feature that’s also usable in the nondestructive environment, and which doesn’t force me to ripple my track and/or export to hundreds of useless markers, it’s becoming less and less viable to continue editing in Audition.Hi Jason, Please forgive me for contacting you directly. I’ve exhausted all other search options to the extent my capabilities allow, including emailing Adobe support to no avail. I’ve got a 2019 16” MacBook Pro with 8GB 5500M and a 2018 Mac mini connected to a 16GB Vega 64 eGPU. The former is the 8-core i9 with 32GB RAM. The latter is a 6-Core i7 with 32GB RAM. I’m running simple multitrack podcast recording and editing sessions in the latest version of Auditi
It'd be great to have a bitcrusher effect in Adobe Audition. I know you can already convert sample type of a file manually from the Edit menu. However, it'd be good to have an effect which could be used and automated inside the multitrack.
When creating a VST3 editor, Adobe Audition incorrectly increments the reference count of the returned IPlugView* instance from IEditController::createView(). This object starts with a ref-count of 1, so incrementing it causes it to never be released after the ref-count is decremented leading to lifetime issues.
Would love to see the ability to lock/and unlock a single track (or multiple tracks) to prevent any further manipulation (including clip movement, level changes, effects additions or changes, etc.). Similar to Premiere Pro's track lock.
Just as Export/Import of Racks is a glaring omission, so is the same for Favorites.
