Hello! I'm on a Mac mini, working with Audition 22.6.0.66.I was attempting to convert a track from mono to Stereo... then this happen....My entire Multitrack is greyed out.I can still play and drop in tracks.. I've clicked everywhere... Can't seem to back out of this. Have quit and restarted.. Any ideas, solutions and guesses would be apprecaited. Thank you!!
Hello! I'm new to Audition & I've spent most of today learning the basic tools of the program. I've watched a lot of tutorials on YouTube. A lot to learn but I think I'm getting it.Is it possible to remove wind noise from audio that was recordered on a mic? So far, I've learned how to remove hiss & hum's out but wind seems to be pretty tricky. Or worse, nearly impossible. Thanks!
Okay so I'm using version 22.6 of Audition. My OS is Windows 11 Pro and I have all the latest updates. My audio interface is a Scarlett 2i2, which I have the latest drivers installed.I tried resetting to factory defaults and my issue is still occurring. Here's the full details: In a multitrack session, for my individual audio tracks I have the input set as one of the two inputs on my Scarlett and the output is set as mix. If I arm the track I will get audio signal from my Scarlett, on that particular track. However, if I navigate to my mix (master) track I and look at the levels, I am getting nothing, even though I have the track output to send to mix. Is there extra steps or settings that I am missing? Is there something broken here? This is a core function of multitrack session and should be simple enough to function. I really appreciate your help.
My trial is over, so I purchased a plan.I tried to use Audition, it still says I should purchase a plan. I have an email with an approval of my purchase.I tried to contact customer service, but one agent decided someone else can help me better. The other agent doesn't answer at all. I'm spending over 30 minutes on this, when I had less then an hour to actually do what I had to do.With 2 babies, this hour is rare, so I just paid for nothing, as I can't use Audition, and I can't get any help from the CC. I'm seriously frustrated and upset here.
Lo and Behold, an Adobe product can't perform a simple function. Yes, folks. Believe it or not, Audition won't PLAY. It's an audio program. People PLAY audio. This program DOES NOT PLAY. I expected no less <insult removed>. It continues to boggle my mind how you are still in business, Adobe. You are terrible and you don't care AT ALL. I don't know what's worse than terrible, but whatever that is, that is YOU.
I have recorded a two person interview with 2 mics to discreet tracks. I would. like to remove coughs and "uhs" from the audio. The material I want to. remove is not only on that persons track but to a lessor degree on the other track as well. It seems I can only bring one track into the waveform editor but I wouylod like to clean up the same spot on both tracks. I really don't want to. mix them down if I can avoid it. Is ther a way I can keep the two tracks discreet but beable to remove unwanted noises, clicks and sounds over both trtacks at the same time?
Hello all,I have some interview audio that was recorded incorrectly by a stringer and now I'm trying to fix it. I'm wondering if someone can help. The interview was recorded with two separate microphones, and should have been set so that each mic was recording to it's own separate track.Instead, it looks like the stringer recorded to a mono file so that both lines are mixed together. This isn't critical from a listening standpoint, but it does not allow me to, for instance, boost the level on person independently of the other. My question is there some way to extract a mono recording back into separate tracks? Many, many thanks!Adam

Hello. I am a podcast editor Audition 22.6 on my Apple MacBook Air. I am experiencing a very frustrating issue whereby the timing on my multitrack clips seems to be subtly shifting every time I save, quit and re-open Audition. I have edited a 2.5 hour episode with multiple tracks numerous times now and can't seem to figure out what's going on. I make hundreds of edits (ripple time delete) to remove 'ums', strange sounds etc. and some of those sounds have re-appeared, or at least a portion of them. The result is anything but a smooth listening experience. E.g. A person will start speaking but begin their sentence mid word. I'm not sure whether saving the session file is shifting the timing, or re-opening the session. I have used Audition for a decade and have never experienced this insanely frustrating issue. Any help or advice would be appreciated. My podcast is basically on hiatus until I can solve this.
ADOBE AUDITION CS - Multitrack recording - Q: How do I prevent the recorded track (and the metronome) from being re-recorded on the track I'm trying to overdubb on? I'm feeding my mixer to the Adobe Audition from 2-USB Audio CODEC 1 & 2. I have done many recordings before, but for some reason I cannot figure this out. Please help. I have 24 low-quality wav files from an emergency-dispatch system. They each have a sample rate of 8,000 Hz and show up in Audition as 32-bit floating. All of the files together amount to 25.4 MB. That's the size of the folder housing them. That tells you how low the original quality is.I need to simply string them together into a single file. No problem. There's a bunch of ways to do it. But every method I use creates a wav file that is 513 MB, which is 20 times the size folder containing the individual clips. No filters applied, no overlaps, no multitracking... just 24 wav files back-to-back-to-back. Couldn't be easier. My question is, why does this create a single file that is 20 times larger than the sum of the original files individually? What is the technicality involved there and is there a way to create a single wav file that is closer to the sum of the individual files? It's worth mentioning, any conversion to mp3 immediately exploits how low the original quality is to beg
Is there a way to export the click/metronome with a session for playback.
Audition crashed while I was recording in a multitrack containing a bunch of already edited stuff. Now when I try to re-open that multitrack session it begins loading in the audio files and freezes at around 4%. I can still play the individual recordings with windows media player. I have tried opening other multitacks but the couple I've tried seem to be having the same issues. I have tried individully importing audio files into a blank multitrack, but it freezes up after I have loaded 4 or 5 of them. I've tried clearing the cache, reasigning the temp files loaction but nothing has worked. I have also tried opening this file on a friends PC with Audition installed (it is saved on a portable hard drive along with all the audio files) but this had the same problem. When Audition freezes I'm not able to use task manager to end the task, as it seems to have no effect, and have to reboot my PC. The only thing I can think of that I havent tried is reinstalling audition. Does anyone know how
I am using the Center Channel Extractor to remove a few swear words from a .wav music track for a rather convervative client. This worked well for the first 2-3 instances: tweaking the options in the open CCE window until it sounds acceptable in the preview, hit Apply... all great! But at some point this stopped working. As before I'm selecting the waveform interval and adjusting the settings until the audio runs smooth in the CCE preview, but when I hit Apply and replay that part of the track, the removed vocals are still there. It might be closer to 70 or 80%, as I can see some slight changes in the selected waveform interval when hitting apply, but to the ear not much has changed. I know that vocal removal is a fiddly task, and not always, but the difficult part should be in getting the setting of the CCE right. Once this sounds OK, I would expect the applied effect to remain true to its preview. What am I missing here? I'm fairly new to Audition, but I feel I am not
Hello Everyone.I am working with Multitrack, and Waveform back and forth. Why is my Multitrack panel looks grayed out, has this Faded Look? here is the screenshotThanks.
I have a bass drop audio clip in multitrack and when i play from the beginning or anytime before that clip starts it sounds fine. However, if I scrub the playhead over the middle of that clip and then press play it sounds distorted. I have a 2022 imac and I'm running the latest version of audition. Thank you for your help.
Hello all,I am using windows, am using the rodecaster pro and have 3 tracks for a podcast. I can record perfectly but when I go to listen to what I have recorded there is no playback. I have downloaded ASIO4ALL which allowed me to record properly but I am failing to see why I can't hear the audio I just recorded the the rodecaster pro. thanks for any input
Every time I load Adobe Audition 2020 I'm presented with an error 'A previous session of Audition quit unexpectedly. You may continue the session now, delete it or cancel to continue the session at another time'. It is very annoying because even if I save the file or open a file and make absolutely no changes to it I still get this on the launch screen of audition. I only use audition to put Compression, EQ, and some other processing onto my AT2035 connected with a Focusrite Scarlette Solo. It'd just be nice to be able to add my save file to my windows startup folder so I can have my mic effects applied to my microphone when I startup my pc without having to worry about clicking on this promt audition gives me.
Hello, It dosnt let me export the file using the multitrack editor, does anybody know why this might be.As shown here I cant export as file.Does anybody know why this is please? Many Thanks
Hey.Is is possible to create kind of Track folders or Groups? Like making a "Vocals" Folder where I can put all of the Vocal tracks to organize my project, comparable to those "Group" - Tracks in Cubase. Or is changing the track color the only option to organize my projects? (Just to clearify I don't mean an audio bus or something like that)Thank you 😄
Hi all,So, I'm pretty new to all of this and was hoping some kind people who have knowledge and experience could lend me a hand.I've been asked to read out some books and record in order to make them into audio-books. The problem is that naturally when I speak the 's' sound comes out quite harsh. Now, I've done all the recording already (and it took a while to do) and also I've been speaking this was for many, many years (so it'll be very difficult for me to not have this harsh 's' while still sounding natural) so it's not really practical for me to go back and re-record it all. Is there a way of fixing this through audition? I've tried using the 'de-esser' function for the whole track but it doesn't seem to do a lot. I've also tried highlighting the target frequency for each sound and reducing the volume of it and, while this works well, it'll take a lot of time to do it for all of the audio I need to get through.Any ideas? Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks
I want to adjust the amp gain but I don't know which tone to use. Like -3db or -6db
The program locked up and when I restarted and opened the recovered file the sesx file lost all the work done in the editor. Is there some way of recovering that? All the individual audio files are there but the sesx file shows nothing in the multitrack editor. Thanks for any guidance!
