when i press record, my voice track is picking up my intrusmental even when im not talking.
I know similar questions have been asked here before, but I'm noticing some thing a little odd with my specific situation. I have been editing a song for a couple of weeks and everything was perfect until I tried to export. When I listened to the exported version, I noticed a lot of my clips weren't audible. Just little chunks here and there. when I went to go look at them on audition, everything still looked the same until I clicked on the tracks that I could no longer here. When I viewed them in waveform, the frequency's that show underneath my clip were mostly gone, besides little .1 second clips. The pics I'm gonna attach will show what I'm talking about better than I can explain it, the circled bit is the only part I can still hear. I didn't touch anything. I rarely edit in waveform unless it's for tiny 2-3 long clips that need the volume turned down, so I'm not really sure why this happened all of the sudden. I opened up the folder that my project was saved in and atte
I regularly use Diagnostics->Strip Silence to remove portions of my audio that has breaths, noise, etc but then have to manually apply fade in and fade out to each of the resulting clips to ensure a smooth transition from audio to silence and back with no popping. Is it possible to set a pre-set fade in and fade out length in milliseconds and apply it to all of the clips in a track while in multitrack view? Favorites work in waveform editing, so I do not know of any way to use batch processing to achieve this either. Please help!
Whenever I am scrolling my audio left or right it starts zooming, I want to fix this problem. Is there anyone who can help?
Exporting audiobook tracks out of Audition - all are typically around 1hour in length. Each track needs 10 or 12 markers at exact location to mark sub-chapters. These markers are used (in clickable 'link' form) so people can quickly find specific locations in the audio. In short, the markers are created in Audition, but then don't match after export because the exported file is 20 second(ish) shorter. Like the file duration has been compressed or something. If I open the exported MP3 back in Audition, the time appears to have corrected itself, and all the markers are in the 'correct' locations. But any web browser or windows audio player, will play that file it its shorter form - so all the markers are always off. So... the markers at the beginning of the playback are pretty close, but by the end they can be 15 or 18 or 20 seconds off their mark. Super annoying. Any suggestions as to what's going on here? Or how to correct it?We're using a 32bit-float /
I'm looking for a windows-based audio player (Winamp, Aimp, Windows Media Player, VLC, etc) that can see and recognize the markers that Audition adds to MP3 files. Anybody have any suggestions?
Hello,I have a single audio file in mono with highly variying volumes (often in just a few seconds). The reason is the speaker turned away from the mic on many occasions, leaving an unbalanced sound. Can I fix it? And if yes, HOW??? Maybe this topic already came up in one or another posts, but silly me cannot find it. Maybe I didn't search with the right keywords. So please help me! I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!!J
I'm trying to remove a fridge noise from conversation using any methods available in Audition, but with little to no success due to lack of skills. This GD folder contains the fridge noise sample I took, and my conversation sample with that fridge noise in the background. Can someone suggest a cleanup sequence that really works to make voices clear? I don't mean generic suggestions, since it would be quite difficult to find the right settings on my own, but a detail tested with my files sequence I can repeat on a full recording for success, and learn right skills in the process. Thanks a lot in advance!
Already restarted PC and reinstalled Audition. Sometimes it opens (20% of the time).
Hey everyone! I've been using Audition as part of my job for a total of around 11 months. I use it for editing voice recordings and then re-formatting them into various formats. HAd barely any issues with this until today... Every time I've tried to convert into an a-law format (8kHz 8 bit) I get a load of background noise, but only if I close the file I was working on and then open it again. If I listen through straight after converting then it sounds fine. I've never had this problem before , and know to expect a little bit of noise from the downsampling but this is a lot more noticable than normal. I don't get it when converting to similar formats, I've tried 8kHz 8 bit wavs, u-law (8kHz 8 bit) and various sample rate mp3s and all other formats are fine, just a-law with the problem. Anyone got any suggestions as to what's going on or how to fix it? I've tried adding a gate before downsampling to make sure there's no background noise between sentences before reformatting bu
Recording starts when I press the red button, but no sound levels show and nothing is there when I play it back. I'm just trying to get this to work with my laptop's microphone right now so there's nothing else plugged in. I was able to record fine this morning but suddenly I can't. I haven't manually run any software updates since then. I did just use a website that was asking me for permission to use my microphone, and since then I can't record. Don't know if that's related but thought I'd mention it. I've tried restarting my computer to try and clear any weirdness that might have created, hasn't helped.
Hello All I've recently updated to the latest Audition version, but I've noticed my gridlines in Frequency Analysis are barely visible against the black background. Before I believe they were a lighter grey but are now only a vary faint grey. I was wondering if there was any way to adjust these preferences? Thanks!
I'm editing a program for my local radio station. I am working with a .aiff file and when I edit this file in the waveform editor, the speaker sounds perfect and the gaps between his sentences are absolutely silent. But, when I bring this .aiff file into the multitrack editor, all of a sudden there are these hisses in the gaps where there was only silence in the waveform editor. How can I remove the hissing when I edit in the multitrack editor? Is the hissing created in the multitrack editor?
Hi Adobe folks! If I use the stretching and pitching effect to change a voice it is way to obvious, because of the chipmunk style or the deep voice style thats occuring with its change. I still don't how everyone sells this effect on youtube as a voice changer. It sounds horrible!Maybe somone else does how an idea to make a voice higher and reducing the chipmunk effect. Or are there other tools I can use to adjust a voices? cheers
Hi, when I export my Audition-projekt (which I used to sync different audio-clips), the export does not exactly match my project. Here I have attached an example to illustrate the problem.Above you can see the project track, below the (reimported) export. I would appreciate any help. By the way: the original recording was made in 44.100 Hz the export is in 48.000 HZ
I'm trying to open a movie session that was created in CC. I don't have CC anymore but still have a copy of CS6. The audio loads fine but plays back slow as if it's been dropped in pitch slightly. Is this normal? Are the file not reverse compatible? Help?!
I've used Sony Sound Forge Pro for many years to do all of my audio editing. Today was my first time trying the Premiere Pro to Audition workflow as it looks really appealing in the demos I watched. When I opened my .prproj file in Audition, I got this interesting warning message,"Warning: Bezier keyframes were converted to linear keyframes."Huh. And sure enough, where I had added volume Bezier keyframes in PP I now have linear keyframes in Audition. After some searching it looks like Audition doesn't HAVE Bezier handles for it's keyframes. Weird - since almost all Adobe products that have envelopes utilize Bezier handles. I like to have very precise control over audio, which does NOT describe the result of "Spline curves" LOL. Can anybody from Adobe reply with insight on Bezier handles in Audition?Thanks,- DK
Hello Everyone.I was watching a 2018 Audition Tutorial on when you stack Two Audio on top of each other, you can Right-Click and Choose to Send Clip to Front/Back. Also, The Tutorial Explains Inside Multitrack, there Is Play Overlapped Portions of Clips. But I don't see that under Multitrack.Thanks.
Is there a way to change the size of the font used in the Audition timelines?I'm not a senior citizen or have eyesight issues, but the reading the font on the timeline requires a little effort.
I can open Audition and edit, but clicking the "Play" button doesn't start playing the file, either in waveform or multitrack. Help?
Is there a keyboard shortcut to step through visible panels in Audition?
Hi! So, very basic situation: I have a couple of voice tracks routed to a bus track. I would like to add some reverb on the bus and use pre-render because I can't get smooth playback without pre-rendering. Seems that pre-rendering is only available on the basic audio tracks and not on bus tracks, am I right? Is it possible to pre-render effects on bus tracks? Or is this a "feature"? Audition build / version 22.5.0.51 Thank you in advance for your help!
When I try to delete certain frequencies using the spectral editing tool, all the other audio disappears as well. I've seen this method demonstrated in a number of videos, and as far as I can tell, I'm doing it correctly. If I play the selected are before hitting delete, all I hear are the selected frequencies, so I assumed that's what I'd be deleting. After hitting delete, the selected area goes gray and the rest of the clip looks normal...but I hear no audio. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
When I have loaded the effects to the effects rack, they will not work, even though they are turned one. There is no difference in the sound of the track with the effects turned on or off. I have never had this problem. Am I doing something wrong? The effect do not work if I use preload effects for the effect rack or create my own effect setting (custom). I was recently part of a recorded in-person interview where each of us had our own mics. We were just in a conference room, with no ability to create an environment that would have been better for the recording, unfortunately. As a result, each single microphone was able to pick up some amount of the other speakers. To make matters worse, one of the recording devices was set to record at 48 Hz instead of 44.1, and so after resampling that one track keeps phasing in and out of alignment with the other two. My question is, can Audition line these tracks up for me so that I don't have to go through the entire file and duck the tracks individually?
