I'm using a A&H Qu24 as my interface and can here files played back in the multitrack editor but not in the waveform editor. Is there somewhere i need to set the waveform editor preferences so that it outputs to the correct stereo in channel on the mixer?
Dear Community, An amateur needs your kind support. I have a sound file, three people recorded (in German) with a H4n recorder in a lecture hall, with two rather loud fans in the background. It's easy to remove the fan noise via sound reduction, yet a very unsettling artificial echo remains.I wonder what may be the best way to achieve the best audio quality, according to your experience? Thank you very much in advance,Oliver
I asked this question in the 14.2 announcement thread a week ago but there’s been no response. Has anyone on an M1 Mac had success with VSTs working in 14.2? The preferences are pointing to the correct folders, but they’re not being detected at all. The same plugins do work as Audio Units, which would would be a half-solution — but I need to maintain compatibility with Windows users at my company and my own old sessions, for that matter. 14.1 runs well with Rosetta, but I can’t be stuck there indefinitely…
I'm running a Batch Process on a bunch of tracks with a recorded Favorites effects combo. It's working absolutely perfectly... with the exception that it's only applying partially to longer tracks. It seems like if I have two tracks, one is 10 sec long and the other 1 min long, the effect is only being applied to 10 sec worth of the 1 min track. Does anyone know how to fix this very strange and frustrating issue? Thanks!
I have a simple 5.1 project. 7 audio clips, each clip is supposed to from one and only one speaker. I keyframed it accordingly but Audition exports it weirdly. The audio clips that are supposed to play from the rear speakers also play on the front speakers.View in the project:View of the exported audio channels:One, and only one channel is supposed to play sound at any given time.(Also, what is wrong with audition keyframing? Keyframes only apply if I also change some other value. i.e after creating all panning keyframes they are not applying until I slightly modify LFE, or radius, or center on the Track Panner. Perhaps a bug as I'm using an older version)
Hello,I am working on a podcast on Audition (latest version/14.2), on and updated Windows 10.I am also using VST plugins, mostly Izotope RX7 package I noticed that the sound I hear in multitrack view is way different than the exported WAV file. It's not like an effect is missing or something, just a very noticiable difference in audio *spectrum*.The sound of the export is a little muffled, with more bass, whereas the playback inside Audition is way more crispier, with more presence, cleaner. It's not a volume issue, it sounds different. I played trough different players and it sound the same. But when i put the same exported file inside of Audition, in the multitrack view, it sounds ok!It seems like audition plays back the same file differently... so "what i hear is not what I get"!Very difficult to work like this. Does anyone have a clue on what is going on? I contacted Adobe support online but it was useless. Please help! Thank youTom
I have been having this problem for months. In audition, there is a diagnostics tool which will scan your audio wav for silence. It then gives you the option to delete or shorten all the silent pieces. It determines the silence by whether it is below a certain dB level. Mine is set to "define silence as below -34 dB." I do a podcast with my friend. The tool does a PERFECT job of editting his voice. But it continually cuts mine at parts that are NOT silent. At first, I thought my recording setting must just be off. But, as you see in the pictures provided, this is not the case. The first picture is the editted sound wav using the diagnostics tool. There was a spot where I said, "I got so sick of it." Audution cut the "of it" off because it picked it up as silence. However, in the second picture, you'll see the uneditted version and the db level. The part that it cut out and picked up as "silence" is at -6ish dB, i.e. WAY above the range that should be considered silence. Why did it

Hi all, I am creating a podcast, so I have a multitrack session with hundreds of cuts. Unfortunately, the past two times that I have opened audtion after saving, all of my clips are cut short by ~.5 seconds. This is absolutely infuriating because I have poured hours upon hours into this project to get fades between edited clips to sound natural. Now, all the work I have been doing has been undone. I have not cut the waveform, so I know it can't be problems with referencing the waveform. At first, I thought I may have accidently dragged everything forwards, but now I don't think so. I recently switched from pc (win 10) to the mac mini, and I am currently saving to a segate one touch external hard drive (which I used to tranfer my audio and project files). Perhaps this has something to do with it? This is a nightmare issue. Thanks so much for your time.

Hi, I'm aware of how to mark and/or remove silences in general, but I'm curious if there's a way to leave a little bit of that silence? When I remove the silence, it cuts the voice lines together too tightly and makes things sound unnatural. What I'd like to do is be able to specify a bit of time that doesn't get trimmed out of the silent segments. Is this possible? It'd be very helpful.
Hi everyone, after watching tutorials and checking videos online I've decided to ask help in this forum as I believe is full of Pro around.I'm using a usb condenser microphone to produce content. The mic is directly connected to my laptop and I'm recording in Audition (without any interface).I'm recording in my room (12 sq. meters).I'm doing kind of tutorials video so I'm using the cardioid mode placing the microphone couple of inches from my mouth not directly in front about 45 degrees. Pre setting : Latency 200 mS ; Recording Microphone : Mono ; Sample Rate 48000 ; Bit depth 32 (the gain of the mic is almost at minumum level)Post Setting : Filter and EQ > Graphic Equalizer 20 bands 5.6K - 1.98K - 5.911.3K - 6.216K - 5.122K - 2.9Amplitude and compression > Dynamic Processing -60 dB -55 dB-20 dB -10 dBParametric Equalizer > Loudness maximizer Amplitude and
Made a podcast with 13.0.13, and I'm picking it up again but my 14.0.2 version can't open the .sesx file. It gives me error 21 and says something about that it can't open the file. How do I fix this, without having to revert to 13.x?
Hello, I've noticed an odd problem in the latest version of Audition CC (Mac, High Sierra 10.13.3) where any time I'm working on a file and open any reverb dialog (but usually "Full Reverb"), after I close it there's no playback sound and I have to restart Audition. This even carries over into Premiere--if I'm editing an audio clip from a Premiere project in Audition, use reverb, sound goes out on Audition, I quit Audition, go back to Premiere and there's no sound there either until I quit and restart). Other applications seem unaffected when this happens. So far I've only seen this effect when using the reverb effects. Any suggestions?
Hi, I was able to connect my Yamaha Natural Sound AV Receiver RX-V371 to audition and have it pan all 6 speakers for 5.1 Not too sure what happened but I got it working the other day and I got a notification out of no where that my hardware settings had changed and now it wont play back or solo on the Center, LFE, Right and Left Surround. When it was working I had the audio hardware set to Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) and my windows 10 sound was set to Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio) In the audio channel mapping tab it had realtek high definition audio 1-6. Now it only has 2 for the Left and Right. I have photos of what the settings were when it was working below. I've talked to customer service from Adobe and from Windows 10 and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. I've updated my drivers and tested rollbacks. I've rolled back to different versions of audition like 13.0 and others. Last time it was working was on th
Hi all,I'm hoping someone may be able to help me! I use Adobe Audition CC for podcasting, and have for several years now. Recently, though, every so often Audition ruins my files, making them entirely unusable. The latest occurrence, however, is for a show I desperately need back if at all possible. For some reason, my audio files after recording the program sound distorted and robotic. I've added a sample link below. It did it to all 3 tracks I was recording, and I don't believe it's my equipment, either. My equipment is rather new, works great, and this only pops up every once in a blue moon. There has been no processing done on these files whatsoever - I'm baffled as to why this is happening. The sample below is from the raw cut.https://clyp.it/g3yy5t4j If anyone could advise me on a) why this is happening and/or b) how to fix it and potentially save this show, I'd be so grateful.Thank you for any help you can provide!
hi Everyone,I'm having a little trouble getting a clear audio with the attached file. I've gone through the usual processes, noise reduction, EQ, normalization, compression, etc, but I'm still not happy with the final audio. If someone has a few minutes, can you please take a look at this sample of the audio and let me know what if anything I can do to get a cleaner final audio. Thanks for the help. Equipment:Sennheiser epos 560 thanks for the help.Steve

Hi,Mac OS - High Sierra 10.13.3iMac 27" 2017 model16gb RAMAdobe Audition 11.0.1.49When full-screen, auto-scrolling, the performance is just awful. Juddery, jumpy and pretty much unusable so have to reduce window size, pretty much wasting the 5k screen. Here is crappy video showing judder-city.File 02 02 2018, 14 43 47 - YouTube I have both waveform and spectral view running as you can see.I saw this in the release notes for latest version:-Improvements to Center-Scrolling behaviors – smoother scrolling, no more jumpingBut I don't see any improvement.Surely a machine of my spec should be able scroll smoothly?Ideas?Mark
I have recently done a recording and im trying to remove a deep breath from audio. However, the breathing is on top of other vocals. If I were to cut it out, the sentence that the speaker is saying won't match up. I've tried looking for tutorials on this matter and none of them are giving me what I'm looking for. I've tried using the effects but it just doesnt sound good at all. You can hear what the speaker is saying behind the breath but it's so loud that it sounds unprofessional.
I create self-running PowerPoint instructional videos. I use Audition to edit the voiceover tracks for each slide. This week I noticed PowerPoint would no longer export a presentation to a video, something i've done countless times before. After a lot of troubleshooting I determined that slides that had audio files that were edited in Audition 14.2 were tripping up the export function. The soundfiles play just fine, but when exported, return a "PowerPoint could not finish creating video xxxxx.mp4. Do you want to try again?" error. Has anyone else encountered this? I tried exporting the files as mp3 and .wavs--neither would let me export. Files that were edited in Audition before the latest upgrade work fine...
In Audition 2020 v. 13.0.2.35, I have an annoying problem. When I click on a multitrack keyframe to alter volume, a small icon below the cursor hides the decibel level. [Attachment, top image] Something similar occurs when I want to change the length of a track using Global Clip Stretching. The stopwatch icon below the cursor blocks the percentage number of the change. [Attachment, bottom image] I can find nothing in Preferences to address this problem and enlarging the track hkorizontally and/or vertically is no solution. Is there a fix for this?
I have mp3 files that contain a full album and would like to cut the file in single tracks but Audition doesn't let me modify the file. I can just load it and zoom in/out or listen to it but that's it.What do I need to do or what's preventing me from editing a mp3 file?
