Audition

Hello, I'm new at this. After recording my voice for an audio file, I'm listening to it and parts are all garbled. words missing, words on top of each other. it sounds awful. Why is the sound also distorted once I move the audio file to a multi track session so I can add music? What service can take my two files, audio and music and turn it into something that sounds good for a podcast?

Recently, I have been encountering a recording issue with Audition 2020. I have 4 tracks armed and recording. Normally, the tracks will turn red and you can see the waveforms while recording - in real time. Now, I notice this strange anomaly where the tracks only turn red in short blocks and the waveform is slow to write on the screen. When I play back the recording, it has nasty digital noise. After a reboot, sometimes it is ok and sometimes it is not. Audio that was fine, plays choppy and noisy if I put it in the SESX file. Sometimes a few reboots will fix it, but I have to start a new project because I feel like the session is corrupted. I am tryting to download Audition. I just got creative cloud and I need audition for a project but when I press install it just says waiting and nothing happens. Anyone know what to do?

I need to take a wav file with  a single cycle of a sound I will play via a computer program by repeating it to give a continuous sound. I need to duplicate the single cycle from a saved wav file and add it on the end so that the file now has 2 cycles which should be the same.  When I do the paste the 2nd cycle is messed up and doesn't accurately represent the same data as the 1st cycle.  Not sure if it matters but the 1st file has a 3k cutoff applied.  As you can see  in the 2 cylc file when I  copy the first cycle and paste it to its end, the data points at the beginning of the 2nd cycle are now flattened and don't look like the source, however it seems to be fine after that.  How can I duplicate the original file to give a new file with 2 cycles without the distortion I'm seeing? 

My multi-track session has crashed at least twice every time i'm working over and hour on it. Is anyone else having this problem?Any fixes? Thoughts? 

Hiabout adobe Frequency analysis  I like a lot the hold feature 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5,6,7,8 with different colrosclicking hold 1 to freeze and take a "screenshot"can Voxnego span plus do the same ?there is the hold button , but even I have the manual , I have found a way to freeze clicking holdVoxengo span plus has a hold button , but at soon I clik on it , it stops to visualizate the spectrum like adobe Frequency analysis can I use voxengo hold like audition cc Frequency analysis  ?are there some setting in voxengo?thanks

Hi There, I'm running into an issue where during playback a track will just stop playing the audio. It will keep going and then pick back up after a few seconds but will then happen again. Session info: 4-Tracks w/ effects 4 Mic-buses w/ effects 48000 32-bit  running on 2920 Mac Mini 16GB RAM 

Hi,I did the latest Mojave update on my iMac and now my Adobe Audition CS5.5 won't record audio. As a voiceover and radio presenter this is a bit of an issue. I've tried a different profile, my internal mic and usb mic are recognised and work with other apps just not with audition.Does anyone have a clue how to get this working again?I haven't backed up to time machine since june, so i'm loathed to do that unless i really have to!ThanksMichelle

HiI have changed my audiocard setting from 24bit 48000 to 24bit 44100 just because I play lots of music music and I don't like to want to use wasapi exlusive in foobar2000 or musicbee under windows 10I changed and I noticed that audition cc doesn't want to work anymore with my internal audio card settings in wasapiincredible ,because golwave ,audacity ,soundforge and wavelab work perfectyIt's very strange because it's stuck at 4800k and the only way it's to enable take excluve control of the deviceis there a fix or a way to use wasapi (not in exclusive mode ) and 44100?thankssome screenshots   

I am working in multitrack and I have two guest lines. I have grouped them, cut sections that need to be deleted, etc. The problem i'm having is this: I have two different recorded lines for one of the guests. I used the line that doesn't sound as good when I made these cuts and edits. How can i move the other wav file in, and keep the cuts and edits in place, and have those applied to the other wav file? I know there's a way to do this, because when you can only find the multitrack session without the files, you can manually add the wav files you want to use. The problem is everytime I open the session, it opens it up with the original files. I hope this makes sense

When I go to diagnostics and put a delete silence filter on, it crashes after I push delete all. I have no clue what to do. I tried installing it again, installing older versions, restarting my pc. It still crashes. I am running the latest drivers and updates for windows. My computer is up to spec with the requirements. I couldn't find anything online about this problem, so it could just be my problem. Either way, don't know what's making it crash.

Why are parameter values initialized when using automation?   I put the effects (compressor, EQ, etc.) on the effect window, adjust the parameters, and switch to automation (Touch, Latch, Write) to play. Then the parameter values are initialized.I can't solve the problem. Help.

I was trying to record my first podcast episode today. When I went back over it to listen to what I had already recorded, I noticed at some point the audio just stops. It still looks as if it's recording and if you move the line forward or backwards over those areas you can hear speed up audio or backwards talking. But if you just press play over whats already been recorded you can listen for a little while and then the sound just stops. Any ideas why? I followed the tutorial before I started. But 30secs for a intro doesn't seem to be a problem. Talking for 3-5 minutes and go back to listen to it thats when the problem starts. I guess around minute 3 the audio cuts but it's still recording. And I don't think it's my mic because it records fine (although the quality isn't great) in a different recording program, which I would use instead but it doesn't let you edit your audio afterwards.

You normally want to remove background noise from dialogue. In this case I want to do the opposite, removing the dialogue from thebackground noise, keep the background and boost it in Adobe Audition. Does anyone know how to do it?

Hello. I currently have the adobe audition trial it just says Adobe CC. First off I know this isn't part of my question but is CC good enough or should I look into another verision: I am trying to make songs.I upgraded from audacity and am confused on the simplest thing. In audacity I was able to record through my mic and while recording listen to my music in the back, with my headphones and record like that. In Adobe Audition it seems I cannot record unless my input and output are my mic, which confuses me too ( im a begginer), The only way I can record is if my mic is my input and out put so I can't hear anything I record or any music I put on there.I can hear the music if I switch my output to my headphones but then I can't record.. I am just so confused I just want to be able to listen to the music through my headphones and record with my mic but I can't record unless my output is my mic. Hello,I'd be thankful if someone reveals a way to maintain pitch at fast playback (using JKL keys). It appears strange that in Premiere Pro this comes by default, and here in Audition double speed also doubles the pitch that makes almost impossible to use shuttle playback for quick overview of a track. I have adobe audition cc2018 since one year now. Yesterday i close my computer and adobe audition lost all my preset and preference . I didnt mind it at all . But now i just found that i cant export my project in Wav . They all turned into AU files even if I set it to export in wav . Can someone help because its really frustrating . I dont want to export in mp3 i would like to keep it in loseless quality .

This morning when I opened Audition after using it last night with no issues whatsoever, I entered the Audio Hardware settings to change my input device from my RopeCaster Pro over to Speakers/Headphones so I can record some audio in to Audition from my web browser.  For the first time ever, I clicked the dropdown menu and the option that has always been there (Headphones/Speakers - Realtek High Definition Audio) is not there.  The only options I can select are my Rodecaster, my Webcam, or my USB Mixer (USB Audio Codec).  Before this is suggested, please know that I have tried both of the other Device Classes (ASIO and WASAPI) and neither of them worked either.  I haven't needed to switch out from MME class ever before.  PLEASE HELP!  I have a Podcast scheduled tonight and this will for sure ruin it if I don't get it fixed!  THANK YOU!!!!

Hello,In Adobe Audition multitrack view, I'm trying to record my RODE NT-USB Microphone and Stereo Mix, but only my RODE microphone is showing up.In the Audio Hardware settings, all of my microphones show up.How can I get my Stereo Mix and RODE to record on two separate tracks?

Hello,We are a church in SD. Currently we are using a Behringer X32 rack mixer for FOH sound. I'd like to multitrack record our live services and events using Audition on our mac mini. We have the latest version of Audition installed on the mac. How do I set this up? Ive been having some trouble with it. My computer sees the mixer as X_UF. When I go to add tracks to the session, I can add all 32 channels, but I dont get a signal to record. Is there something I'm missing or doing incorrectly? We'd like to record while we are live, so switching the mixer to a virtual DAW mode isnt an option. During the week, we would like to switch to DAW mode and play back the recordings for virtual soundcheck and band rehearsals and such. Thanks,Noah

Hi there, In most audio editing softwares geared towards musical production, correcting small mistakes in timing can be done on vocal audio finals. For example, if the singer started a word a little too late against the beat, then we can just tweak that generally the edit is unnoticable. How can I achieve this in Audition? Thanks in advance.

I just updated to Audition CC 2019, (and like an idiot uninstalled CC 2018 in the process). When I opened Audition, I noticed that the effects rack is now empty. It used to have about 15-20 presets by default, including Radio Announcer, Podcast Voice, etc, and now they're gone. Did I miss something in the update?
