I have a collection of saved Audition audio files saved and when I try to go back and edit them the files only show as multiform, not waves, and have no audio or accesible traits. I have no clue what's going on, but I have edited these files before, so I believe they were recorded correctly.
Any Progress?
Planning a road trip away from my studio and considering deactivating Audition on my studio PC and activating on my Microsoft Surface Pro. Has anyone done this? If so, what are the potential pitfalls here??
Hello! Last week, I had the loops and beds page up and downloaded one set of loops. When getting on the next day to continue downloading, I refreshed the page and it automatically redirected to: https://www.adobe.com/products/audition/offers/audition_dlc.html which only contains the link to download sound fx. Can anyone direct me to the loops and beds downloads, or did those get shut down for some reason? Thanks!
MS Teams has become part of the lives of many of us and it would be really beneficial to be able to record Teams audio with AuditionHas anyone successfully managed this and if aso could you please share your secret?ThanksScott
Hello, I'm having a recording issue that makes no sense to me and need to reach out. I've looked for related issues on various boards but haven't come up with anything. I'm doing voice over work, and when I record into ProTools recordings sound clear, as would be expected. However, when I record into Audition recordings sound very muddy with lots of low end echo. This is using the same hardware, same sound card, same mic, same cables...etc. It face it's testing one recording right after the other. I've tried EQ settings, to no help, which does make sense because why would it sound ok in one, but not the other? Does Audition have an EQ that the other app isn't using??? Setup - MXL 990 mic, Mackie 1402VLZ mixer, Dell XPS 8930 PC, Realtek Audio soundcard, 6.0.1.8248 driver version. Audtion build 13.0.13.46. Any help is MUCH appreciated!!!
Please can anyone advise if these bangs can be removed with the spectral waveform tool? I am having trouble isolating them to removed them from under the interviewee's speech. I'm not experienced enough with this tool to know whether to keep trying or accept when I'm beat! Thanks in advance.
Hi.I'm using the newest CC version. When I try to put a video in the preview window, it shows a green screen only (audio works correctly).Yesterday I was doing pretty much the same and everything worked.Do you have any idea what is wrong?I tried to reinstall Audition, it didn't help. I'm in the middle of downloading GPU drivers and QuickTime, but it is a blind guess. Please help, it is a crucial functionality in my day to day work.Thank you
Hello, I am having trouble getting accurate audio exports from audition. Export>Multitrack Mixdown>Entire Session. Edited audio doesn't render correctly in the bounced file. This is not an effects problem. I have uploaded a short clip file that is correct and then another file that is a bit longer which shows the problem. The place at issue is renderred correctly at 00:33 seconds on the "correct" version. And incorectly at 1:43 on the "problem" version. Tracks are rendered pre bounce. The edited audio that is giving the problem is on Track 2 in the screenshot. Any assistance would be very much appreciated. I have been trying to get consistent audio levels. I am referring to music (only) and not videos or podcasts just music ripped from audio CDs. I have tried all the difference settings in 'Match Volume' and although most of the volume levels are quite consistent you still get the quiet or loud songs between the good ones. What I'm doing now is normalizing all the songs down to -3db in Waveform and before burning them to CD I listen to them in CD Layout and use my ears to work out if the volumes are similar and if not I go to Effects>Amplitude and Compression>Amplilfy and start with adding +1db to the quiet songs and -1db to the louder songs until they are relatively the same playback volume. Is there another way to go about this or is this as good as it gets? Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions and information.
I realized that my Scarlet Solo was set at 48k, but I must've saved the file in 44.1k.Around 55 minutes were recorded as 17... The playback is bad even when I stretch it. Is there a fix to this? First time I've ever made that mistake and I'm totally lost. Thank you!
Around the time I installed the latest update to Audition (currently running 13.0.13.46), it started a really bizarre behavior. Now every time I move between audio files, Audition transfers the selection (as shown in the Selection panel) from the file that was active, to the file I make active. It's most annoying, as it means that when I record a pickup on the "pickups" file, then go back to the main file, i.e., the one I am editing, I have to locate that section in that file all over again. Is this some kind of Preference setting, or is it, as I suspect, a really annoying bug that was introduced in this update? It wastes a lot of my time; I have to remember to set a marker in the main file every time I want to record a pickup, or else go searching for where I was when I left that main file.Help!!
With all due respect.. as the title says. I just lost an hour of recording after crash and for whatever reason when the file was recovered, HALF the waveform was visable, but corrupt/mute. Not sure why this is a feature for only multitrack.I understand the crash is not Adobe's fault - but I've lost time and money (not to mention by voice is fried from the previous two hours of recording) because of this feature that could've been implemented over half of a decade ago.
I'm a little rusty when it comes to Audition.I'm currently helping a friend with a project that involves a lot of seperate clips, and now I want to export each clip into its own individual .wav file. How do I do this?
So this is the first time I have encountered something like this and am at loss for what to do. I tried starting the project over and even opening an older version but nothing has worked so far. Whenever I go to multitrack mixdown Audition locks up as if the export window opens up but instead the window does not appear. I can't properly close out Audition and I end up having to ALt+F4. Attached are some photos that I grabbed showing my issue. I can't personally see the export screen but every screen share app can as only a white screen. The only thing I can think of that would cause this would have been the most recent update I downloaded, but that was before I started this project. Has anyone else had this issue before and found a fix?
Why does it automatically open the default save as to an old file location rather than where the source files are located? It used to do this years ago according to other people I've spoke to on forums so I'm not sure why it doesn't now. Is there a way to change a setting or something for this?!
Hi there, I am having trouble opening a previous session. The file opens, and each sample appears to be loading, but then the entire session crashes and I have to force quit. I'm running Catalina 10.15.6 with the latest Audition v13.0.13. I have 26 GB left of memory on a 250 GB system. I have 8GB of RAM and I have directed the max (6.5) to Audition. It's not just the previous session that won't load, I'm having general issues with the functioning of the program. Could it be a compatability issues? Please help me!
Hello, Just curious if Adobe has a list of best interfaces to use with Audition. I'm considering getting a MOTU 8pre but I want to make sure I'm not going to have driver issues. Thanks,Will
I've been trying to speed up my workflow by listening to Multitrack audio (a single track) at higher speeds, using Time Stretch. I've been scrubbing through a single track in Multitrack viewer, crossfading silence and chopping unwanted bits of the audio out. I've been doing this while listening at about 1.5x speed through Audition's time stretch feature. When I revert back to a Stretch of 100% (Normal) in Properties, all of my edits seem to not scale with the audio's changes. There's a lot of audio overlap, as if the edits have stayed in place from where I did them at 1.5x speed. Is there any fix for this anyone knows of?
Hello, I was working on a project that took me several dozen hours. When suddenly Adobe Audition CS6 crashed. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal but when I re-opened the project it said "The file is either corrupt or using an unsupported format"I am not allowed to "Link a media" (the box is grey).I tried to restart Adobe Audition while maintaining "Shift" and as administrator. Nothing worked. All the "Bounced Files", ... are still there in "Adobe/Audition/5.0/THENAMEOFTHEFILE". All the other .sesx files can be opened but not this one and I really want it to work. I don't know what to do...
Everytime i silence a part of my wave, the scanning for pitch display automaticly starts and i takes like between 40 to 60 seconds. Is there a way to stop this? it is a really long process everytime i need to silence a bit of the file. Thank you for the help.
When i select a frequency of a background noise with the marquee selection tool and hit delete it mutes my whole song for some reason? is there a way to fix this?
Hello,I would like to have a dry audio track playing in the front left (L) speaker, and in the surround right speaker (Rs), I would like the echo effect of the left speaker. How can I do this? Thanks!
I imported a mono vocal file (recorded in audacity) into Audition. It was fine. I could hear it in both ears. I imported a stereo music file into Audition onto a second track, and I can only hear that music play in one ear. (left) I cannot figure out how to rectify this. Although I hear the voice just fine in both ears, the music "feels" disturbing since it's only coming through the left ear. I'm using a Focusrite usb audio interface; that's what I have my headphones plugged into. I originally recorded the voice in audacity because Audition was crashing every time I tried to record.. and I don't have time to technically sort that out.. so I'm only using Audition right now to edit the podcast (just adding music). I just need to know how to keep the stereo music audio file from only coming through one ear. Thank you in advance, and I apologize for my technical retardation. I'm no sound engineer 🙂
Actually I have a feeling that AU didn't changed much since cool edit.New icon! Are you kiddin' me?
