Audition

After applying speech volume leveler with a target of -10 dB, the resulting waveform still has many spikes above -10dB.How is this useful?

Hello, I created a dynamic link between a sequence--I'll refer to this one as sequence A-- in Premiere Pro and Audition for a cut I thought was a final. Based on client feedback, I created a new sequence, sequence B, but wanted to keep the Audition session I had created for sequence A. Just avoid recreating the wheel with all of my existing audio edits. However, the video reference for sequence A is, of course, dynamicaly linked to the session created from sequence. How can I update the video reference (sequence A) to point at the new sequence B video?  Clear as mud? Sorry. I'll clarify anything that doesn't make sense. TIA! David

I've been having this reoccurring issue in Audition CC 2020, where I will no longer be able to modify the tracks because it says that I'm "recording", which I am definitely not. I would also not be able to close the program anymore because it states something like there are one or more jobs running and to wait for them to finish... which they never do cause nothing is happening! There seems to be nothing I can do about it! So the only way to exit the program is to reboot the system entirely. And when I open the project again, all my work is gone! It is very frusterating! Especially when you're on a deadline!

How can I change the user's language from English to Russian?I installed Adobe Audition CC 2018 through the Creative Cloudin the "Settings" settings, the language is Russian.The program is installed in English. Help me change the language

Hey everyone !, i'm sharing an image of the audio waveform post recording a podcast. There are various instances where this random glitch is showing up which is causing some sort of a static sound to be very clear over my voice. Any help in resolving this would be highly appreciated . Thank you 🙂  

One of our volunteers at our nonprofit radio station clicked a button, and so know we are not getting audio in Adobe Audition CS5.5.   Does anyone know where to go to reset things so we can get audio?   Thanks Dean Huibregtse [Mod note - personal email address removed]

More of a nuance than anything, but when I'm in the Multitrack Editor and I go to Multitrack -> Insert Files, and then located and "insert" my file, it places the clip at the end of the timeline, and Audition makes the timeline hours long.  I just go grab it, put it back at the beginning, and do a Zoom Out Reset.In a perfect world, Audition would just place the clip at the playhead.Has anyone experienced this, and how did you fix the nuance?I'm using 13.0.10.32 version.  Thanks!

I have skimmed through the posts and I havent found this exact question and or answer.  I need to make a pretty simple audio production.  I have a basic USB mic, nothing fancy.  I am able to record the mic fine into adobe, however I want to be able to play audio (say in itunes or VLC) pause it and comment on it.  I am having toruble getting that played audio to record into adobe.  Seems like I cant have 2 sources?  I would think one could do this without a mixed, but maybe im wrong.  I even thought about doing a "line in" from another PC and playing the audio from there, but I cant get the "line in" to record either. Is there a setting solution for this?  Thanks for taking the time to read this and share your knowledge!

So this particular issue keeps on reoccurring and it honestly make me wanna stop recording all together.  So I record all of my vocals over the backing track, 100% complete the whole song, Harmonies all. So I play it back to listen to the WHOLE  of it before mixing it down, Then OUT OF NOWHERE!! My voice sounds like a Child!?!?!?!It's in the EXACT key I sang it in.... BUT IT'S BABYFIED MY VOICE! And I have NO IDEA how to fix it. It's happened 3 times when each song is 100% complete. I go to listen to it ALL 1 Last time. Can somebody please help me fix this please Adobe Audition 3.0 has been doing this to me for too many years man. Makes no sense, as the key is EXACTLY how it was sung.... But just a really Childish tone, Same thing happens to the Instrumentals being used as well Thank you

Mac: 10.13.4Audition April 2018 ReleaseLove the new cover art option added to the Metadata Panel! I know it is possible to customize the Metadata Display, but is there any way to save the populated ID3 tag information to re-use from podcast to podcast or to Import the ID3 tags from a previous episode?This new feature is awesome either way but would be nice not have to re-populate some of the fields every time like cover art, artist, copyright/URL...or just copy from an already tagged file.Cheers,Mike

Hello all, Does anyone know how to move all the files in a multitrack session to the right, without having to go through and select each file and then drag it? Is there a way to just push the files. Like the opposite of ripple delete. Is there a ripple push? Many thanks!

Hey all...I work on longer audio files regularly, e.g. 30 - 50 minutes.I find that the longer a file is (and I also work with markers, so the file is marked with maybe 2000 or so markers too), the more Audition lags in scrolling the playhead and also deleting sections of audio.I have v.12 installed (2019) on Win 10 pro on an i5 quadcore (3rd gen) with 16 gigs ram and 10 of those dedicated to audition. I don't have any excessive background processes runing either.Without the markers, it's a bit improved, but still pretty laggy on longer files.As a work-around, i tend to chop the files down into 10 to 15 minute sections for editing.playback, effects plugins and processing are all fine on longer files, but it's just the tasks that seem to involve navigating around the file (except skipping from one marker to another, that's fine) or anything that causes the file to have to be readjusted in terms of postion of data. Any ideas what might be causing this, whether there are any fixes, or

I have been work for 3 weeks on a project. I just updated Audition which I knew better to not do but I did it anyway.  Now when I open my anyof my project files it has lost reference to 18 of 26 plugins.... when I rescan the plugin folders they say they are all loaded and working... I tried disabling and re-enabling. Nothing is working... I have some serious time into this project and I am completely stuck other that resetting the plugin and re tweeking all the setting... Yes I didn't write down all the settings because it really should be more stable ... I reloaded some of the plugins and changes to vst3 and damn if it didn't crash... Oh yeah and before the update I recorded a whole show (3 hr 4 track simple recordin) absolute trash audio..  Nothing has changed... the setting where exactlly the same as always... first time this has happened in five years... I am really at a loss...  2 absolute complete failures within 3 days .... what gives?

I keep restarting my computer (HP Windows 10 Home... 8GB RAM (6.93 used) 64-but Operating System, 1.80 TB storage (827 GB free) and I'm having trouble getting the Adobe Audition audio to play consistently. I'm using the TASCAM US-2x2 audio interface (software version 4.00 0099, firmware version 1.01). When I restart the Audition multitrack file, my "R" record buttons are greyed out- so I have to reconfigure the audio hardware- even though it was working perfectly before I shut down my computer. When I try to adjust the audio hardware- I get messages like "MME device internal error." When I fiddle around, I get the audio to play, but it starts recording the track instead of new vocals. Once I get it to work properly, (recording new audio in the R & L ear) the sound cuts out completely. And not just in Audition, throughout all apps on the computer (even YouTube videos and iTunes music) nothing plays. Is this an Audition problem or an external audio problem, or an old computer pr

I just posted most complex podcast episode of my life last week and I cant pull up my saved file. I see backups from a month ago and nothing else. There is no way for me to recreate all of my sound effects and music traditions exactly. Please help. I had saved this file multiple times a day, I don't know what to do.

Hi Apologies for the post if asked before.  Ive googled this for a while but am finding it hard to find an answer.   Audition is a new venture for me.  Im a Prem Pro editor After effects designer whos entering into the world of audicton for a comp im doing.  Im mixing together a load of music videos, 30 seconds each, and i want to use audio effects transistion between them, like echos, repeats, record scratches, record stop sounds instead of your normal cross fade.   Anyone got any tips or tutorials on how i can achieve this in Audition. Thanks in advance. Cheers

Hey All,I'm having issues importing .wav files into Audition CC. Whever I drag a .wav file over (or try open one) Audition freezes. Even if the file size is small, I have to force close the app. MP3's import fine. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

Not sure if its an update but finding audition to be a pain recently.Editing etc is fine, however there are 2 things that are doing my head in.1. Signal meter on the effects panel showing no signal so you don't know if you're clipping your outputs. If its hanging because of some background processing or something, atleast grey out...2. Duel screen (i put my mixer on my Mac and use my external monitor to edit). For some reason when Audition is in focus, the Mac screen goes total black or white... can't see the mixer unless i launch another programme and event then when i click on the mixer the screen goes black again. I then have to fumble through quitting applications to start again. Just me 🤔 🤔

I’m looking for a remote control surface that works with Adobe Audition. I want to be able to control the transport functions (play, record, undo) without having to get up after each take to go over to my computer. Does anyone know if either the Behringer X-Touch One Universal Control Surface or the PreSonus FaderPort Production Controller is compatible with Adobe Audition? Any advice would be appreciated.

So I'm thinking of making a bloopers section for a film, and for a scene I want to include a Dalek from Doctor Who as part of the bloopers, I'm not sure which sound distortion effects would make me sound like the Daleks from the episode Resolution, so I was wondering if anyone here knew what effects in audition could be used to recreate the Dalek voice from Resolution. My computer somehow can run Audition on 2 GB of RAM. For a sample of what I'm trying to achieve here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqFz4BrrLn0&ab_channel=DoctorWho

This is driving me insane.  The cat jumped on my keyboard and now the spacebar behaviour toggle play/pause jumps back to the origin of the start play point in a clip instead of stopping where it is. This happens in both Waveform and Multitrack view.Obviously, there is a keystroke somewhere that will allow me to select a behaviour for toggle play/pause, but I can't find a reference to it. The Toggle Playback Auto-scroll (A) button in multitrack also cannot be switched off, but this may be intended, I'm not sure.Can anyone please let me know what sequence/key I need to press to change the behaviour of the spacebar back to normal Play/Pause without the flick-back happening?Many thanks

I have a recording of the church praise team for pre-recording that i did not listen to during recording or even immediatly after. Now that i have i found that the audio drops out repeatedly during playback. Drops down to dead silence when the singers are still singing. Is there away for me to fix this in premier or audition? PLEASE HELP 

Hi All, I know this is probably old and tired but I want to activate my version of 3.0 that I purchased some time ago now. Really not interested in paying subscriptions for a product I purchased. Is there any way to get the programme to activate? I have been over this with adode's support and the end is "we no longer have the server". Surely there is a valid key that will activate my version. Cheers

I get the following error when I try to do almost *anything* in Audition - rendering it useless. I'd be very grateful if anyone had a solution or even some further info on how to fix this. I'm on a Windows PC - 64bit.Thanks
