Audition

Made a podcast with 13.0.13, and I'm picking it up again but my 14.0.2 version can't open the .sesx file. It gives me error 21 and says something about that it can't open the file.How do I fix this, without having to revert to 13.x?

Hello, I've noticed an odd problem in the latest version of Audition CC (Mac, High Sierra 10.13.3) where any time I'm working on a file and open any reverb dialog (but usually "Full Reverb"), after I close it there's no playback sound and I have to restart Audition. This even carries over into Premiere--if I'm editing an audio clip from a Premiere project in Audition, use reverb, sound goes out on Audition, I quit Audition, go back to Premiere and there's no sound there either until I quit and restart). Other applications seem unaffected when this happens. So far I've only seen this effect when using the reverb effects. Any suggestions?

Hi, I was able to connect my Yamaha Natural Sound AV Receiver RX-V371 to audition and have it pan all 6 speakers for 5.1 Not too sure what happened but I got it working the other day and I got a notification out of no where that my hardware settings had changed and now it wont play back or solo on the Center, LFE, Right and Left Surround.  When it was working I had the audio hardware set to Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) and my windows 10 sound was set to Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio) In the audio channel mapping tab it had realtek high definition audio 1-6. Now it only has 2 for the Left and Right. I have photos of what the settings were when it was working below. I've talked to customer service from Adobe and from Windows 10 and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. I've updated my drivers and tested rollbacks. I've rolled back to different versions of audition like 13.0 and others. Last time it was working was on th

Hi all,I'm hoping someone may be able to help me! I use Adobe Audition CC for podcasting, and have for several years now. Recently, though, every so often Audition ruins my files, making them entirely unusable. The latest occurrence, however, is for a show I desperately need back if at all possible.For some reason, my audio files after recording the program sound distorted and robotic. I've added a sample link below. It did it to all 3 tracks I was recording, and I don't believe it's my equipment, either. My equipment is rather new, works great, and this only pops up every once in a blue moon. There has been no processing done on these files whatsoever - I'm baffled as to why this is happening. hi Everyone,I'm having a little trouble getting a clear audio with the attached file. I've gone through the usual processes, noise reduction, EQ, normalization, compression, etc, but I'm still not happy with the final audio. If someone has a few minutes, can you please take a look at this sample of the audio and let me know what if anything I can do to get a cleaner final audio. Hello i am a novice and i am trying to record things on my PC in adobe audition CS6. I can record very feint sound, and then normalise it to -3db to be able to hear it, but the quality is terrible. Does anybody know what i am doing wrong? Please help, thank you.

I have recently done a recording and im trying to remove a deep breath from audio. However, the breathing is on top of other vocals. If I were to cut it out, the sentence that the speaker is saying won't match up. I've tried looking for tutorials on this matter and none of them are giving me what I'm looking for. I've tried using the effects but it just doesnt sound good at all. You can hear what the speaker is saying behind the breath but it's so loud that it sounds unprofessional.

I create self-running PowerPoint instructional videos. I use Audition to edit the voiceover tracks for each slide. This week I noticed PowerPoint would no longer export a presentation to a video, something i've done countless times before. After a lot of troubleshooting I determined that slides that had audio files that were edited in Audition 14.2 were tripping up the export function. The soundfiles play just fine, but when exported, return a "PowerPoint could not finish creating video xxxxx.mp4. Do you want to try again?" error. Has anyone else encountered this?  I tried exporting the files as mp3 and .wavs--neither would let me export. Files that were edited in Audition before the latest upgrade work fine...

In Audition 2020 v. 13.0.2.35, I have an annoying problem. When I click on a multitrack keyframe to alter volume, a small icon below the cursor hides the decibel level. [Attachment, top image] Something similar occurs when I want to change the length of a track using Global Clip Stretching. The stopwatch icon below the cursor blocks the percentage number of the change. [Attachment, bottom image] I can find nothing in Preferences to address this problem and enlarging the track hkorizontally and/or vertically is no solution.  Is there a fix for this?  

I have mp3 files that contain a full album and would like to cut the file in single tracks but Audition doesn't let me modify the file. I can just load it and zoom in/out or listen to it but that's it.What do I need to do or what's preventing me from editing a mp3 file?

Hi. A friend of my family gave me a video recording of their child's Bar Mitzvah ceremony, recorded by the Temple where the ceremony took place. To the family's horror, the soundtrack is awful. Forgive the lack of the technical term, but the audio is repeated a split second after it is heard the first time, and as the repeat is heard, the volume drops suddenly. It's like hearing the audio, and then a split second later, hearing a delay of that audio. The Temple doesn't know what happened, and the family is devastated and asked me if there is anything that I can do even slightly to improve the sound. I have tried a few things, but to no avail, as I have never dealt with anything quite like this before. Are there any suggestions? I would be very grateful.

Hey I am sure that this has been asked several times and I have seen similar queries but have not seen any answers that are current or completly relevant to me. I would continue to look for answers but this website is so slow and cumbersome that it has taken me about 15 min to get here just to post and it keeps dumping me back to the general choose a comunity page it seems without a buffer so it has to reload every time then I have to go to the audition page search the forum then start over again. tldr:I am trying to use my Arturia Keylab 49 with Analog 5 and Pigments to add sound effects/ music to my projects. I am not expecting to create loops or lay do any serious editing I just want to hold down a key while I watch the video for timing is this possible with audition  or any of the adobe suite?If not why not? Hello.  Sometimes when I record in Audition, I will connect with an engineer remotely via ZOOM.  Then I will share my screen with the engineer so they can take control of my computer during recording.  ONLY when I SHARE my Zoom screen and record in Audition do I get abominable static and crackling in the recording file.  You cannot hear this static/crackling sound during recording; ONLY in the playback.  One time I had recorded about 15 pages of copy only to find out later, the whole file was unuseable because of this. My engineer, then downloaded Reaper to record in instead.  I still shared my screen with him via Zoom and we had absolutely no problems recording.  The files came out clean.  Thanks in advance for any offers of help. What is happening in Audition that is causing this static and crackling sound?  Has anyone had this experience?  I cannot get it to stop.  It only happens if I share my screen.

 Hi...Does anyone know if Lethal Audio compatible with Adobe Audition? I have adobe Audition... though I need Lethal Audio or ReFX Nexusunfortunately Audition doesn't support ReFX Nexus, but does anyone know if it supports Lethal Audio

Hi,a recording on my smartphone (saved as WAV) plays Audition incorrect in double-speed (Mickey Mouse voice...). Only after saving the WAV file just as WAV again with Audacity solves this issue. Only difference original file vs. saved file in the info tab under "Format":Waveform Audio 32-Bit Interger vs. Waveform Audio 32-Bit Gleitkomma (IEEE) vs. Please note the correct duration of the "Gleitkomma" file, too! Can't find any setting in the preferences, no bug fix and similar. Thanks for helping me!mycc

I have Korg nanoKontrol First Version in 2008 and i can not set-up on Audition. First time, i try install driver to my computer, i saw the midi name "Korgnanokontrol" in control surface and i can't control everything on controller, i'm restart my computer but midi control it gone and never come back Please help me, I hope someone will solve this problem. Hi. I'm using Adobe Audtion CC 2019 (the newer versions don't work well with my plugins for some reason). At any rate, wondering if anyone can tell me how to import my session templates and effect presets from a complete back up of my computer. Those templates and presets are the fruits of 2 years of tweaking and it would save me a lot of time if I could import them.  Basically, I'm presuming that there is some hidden folder(s) on the back up that I can copy onto the hard drive of my new computer - so the question is where do I find them on my old computer (back up) and where do I place them so that Audition can find them on my new computer?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,  I am trying to edit a Premiere Pro session in Audition using the Dynamic Link, which is regular part of my workflow, and  now Audition crashes every time I try to do that. I had automatic updates enabled, and think my computer just updated Premiere Pro to 15.2 and Audition to 14.2 since I used them last week. I have a 2020 Mac with an M1 chip OS 11.3.1.  I am able to open Audition and import files independently, but it is not working with the Dynamic Link. I have tried restartign my computer, unistalling and re-installing Audition, restarting my computer again, and force-quitting all Adobe products through the activity monitor.  Thank you for your help.Honna  

Hello,  I have problem to quit Adobe Audition program because of this problem that you can see on the picture.I tried to find what is on action, but nothing is on action. It says that is still recording or whatever but nothing is recording nothing is on. I can not do anything with my PC now, i can not restart, force quit or update a computer. Can you please helpe me with this?? I have Mac OS. 

For awhile now ive been using the same saved plugins for my vocal editing. usually its, waves cla compressor,  slate digital preamp and waves API 550 eq. ive always wondered why when i usually tweak the api 550 i get a slight fuzzy sound...its only there and gets louder as the signal for the vocal comes up. since the api is a analog modeled plugin..do you think this is mimicking a natural line noise sound...or does this mean that my vocal level is being pushed so high that im getting the airy fuzzy sound? its only there if i add certain plugins..being that im recording with a u87 through a couple other outboard gear and my booth is treated...its pretty silent in the raw recording. any suggestions?

Does anyone out there know how I can rescue my favourites etc from a new  Auditionversion 14.2 back to 13.0.13 Here are the details;I use version 13.0.13 Audition to narrate audiobooks but I signed out of Adobe Creative Cloud a couple of days ago in error,, and spent several frustrating hours trying to persuade Adobe that I have been a paying customer for years but still could not get in.Finally, Adobe relented and believed me and remotely took my desktop, and cleaned, uninstalled, reinstalled, and 40 minutes later they announced success. GREAT , EXCEPT, the new version of 14.2 has been installed. This morning I immediately noticed the same digital blocking of my spectral display, that I had had with 14 which had driven me back to 13.0.13.  So I have re-installed 13.01.03 and it works fine, but of course, I have lost all my settings. So this morning I started to macro favorites, AND DID NOT REALISE THAT I WAS WORKING ON 14.2 which is still installed !!!So is there any wa

If I normalize and compress in waveform (applied but not saved), will these effects be carried over in multitrack (when saved/exported)?

I know this is a common problem, but I've read through many different threads and watched many videos, and none of them have the solution for my problem. Hoping someone can help. My objective is to record a voiceover in Audition using my ATR 2100 mic. This worked for years, but now suddenly, Audition is not getting a signal from the mic. The mic works with other applications and an external recorder. All the Audio Hardware settings appear correct... Audio Channel Mapping appears correct... I also tried a multitrack session, and armed the input to record, and then pressed the record button. The time indicator started moving, but no indivation of any signal from the mic. I also tried updating to the latest version of Audition. Any  Computer: iMac Pro (2017)Microphone: ATR 2100
