Hi all, I recently upgraded my laptop to a MacBook Pro with the Apple M1 chip. I'm also running Audition on an Intel based Mac Mini. Both machines are running the latest version of macOS 11. On the laptop w/ the M1, I'm unable to hide Audition using the key command (cmd+H) or by selecting "Hide" from the Adobe Audition menu. The only way I'm able to hide it is to switch to another app and select "Hide Others" from that app's menu. I'm curious if this is a known issue or perhaps a setting I've missed. I doubt it's a setting as I've synced settings between the two machines, and as I say, I'm not experiencing this on the Intel Mac Mini. If others are experiencing this, I'll submit a bug report. Thank you in advance.
I have some downloaded VSTs to use in AA 3.0. When I touch the effects list, there's noVST selection down below. What am I missing? See screen shot below.Jerry
Bonjour, J'ai un problème de son. Mon casque est branché et fonctionnel (jeux etc.) . Néanmoins, avec Audition, le son sort des haut-parleurs et non au niveau du casque. A-t 'il un réglage pour ça ? Merci,

Hello all, I've got to go through and clear all of the volume keyframes for the mustic I've used in an entire session. Does anyone know if there is a way in multi-track to select multiple keyframes at once and delete them? so that I don't have to go through and individually delete them. Thank you!
I hope someone has had the same problem as me, but what can I do to get rid of the label that comes out at startup. I have reinstalled "AU 2" times just a little helped it. I made two screen jumps. I'll be glad that someone can help me so I can solve the problem - thank you in advance.
-Recorded audio plays back on both output channels -input and output settings -Raised Db volume bar, indicating signal is being received and processed -audio channel mapping settings -audio hardware settings Hi all, new here, first time post: What I'm running- Adobe audition 2020 on a 2012 MacBook Pro, operating on Catalina 10.15.6 Audio hardware- Scarlett 2i2, direct plug in with guitar Plugins/VSTS- BIAS FX 2, ML Soundlabs AMPED Roots, Spitfire audio. THE ISSUE- despite having the proper tracks armed, channels selected, etc- I'm not able to hear any audio I play whilst recording. To be perfectly clear- unless I switch the interface to DIRECT MONITOR mode on, I hear absolutely no playback either with or without any plugins or VSTs activated. i am aware that BIAS FX is not stated to be compatible with audition, HOWEVER, to be clear again- Despite not being able to hear WHAT I'm recording WHILE recording it, the settings from all plug
HelloIs there any way to set a max input level when recording in Adobe Audition? Something like what some cameras have to record for example at max -12dB even if I scream right into the mic? Thank you!
I can't see wave/multi-track switch button, as well as razor/move tool buttons. There should be toolbar here. And show HUD is turned on in view menu. I tried to turn off and on and restart audition or my PC but don't workHow do I get it back? Thanks in advance!
I mix a film in Audition. The sound has been recorded in multi-channel wave files. In the MULTITRACK workspace, all the different channels are on their own separate tracks. If I solo one track, the sounds comes out of left and right, in mono, no problem. But when I double-click on a clip and get into the WAVEFORM workspace, one of the channel is in color and the ones are greyed out. When I play the file, the sound can only come out in either the left or the right side of the headphones, depending on how I mapped it in the Preferences. There is no way I can monitor the sound on the left and right at the same time. I spent 3 hours with an Adobe representative and no matter how I explained the problem, he didn't understand the issue. I done a ton of research online and nobody posted anything on the subject. It's a very simple problem, I can't believe I'm the only one who experienced it. If anyone had the same issue and resolved i
Hey everyone! So im very new to audition and so far I love love love it. But im coming across a very frustrating issue where I hear random click and pops during playback. I did do research before posting here and know that it could be harware or update related (cables etc) and will attempt all those fixes the next time I have the chance, but im currently more concerned with the current project as its already been recorded and I really dont want to lose it. Here is what I know so far... -The clicking is totally random, happens ALL over the recording, and even changes drastically (like the same clip will have no pops and then a bunch the next time I listen)-The clicking only occurs in the multi-track session of a recording and not in the waveform so the newer Declicker feature cant seem to fix the problem (in fact it seemed to get worse)-The clicking seems to be irradicated and/or happens MUCH less when the effects are turned off. Which is great except for without the eff
I can't get the I/O level meters to stay on when I'm working in multitrack. They will work consistently on the master bus but only briefly on individual track meters. If I make an adjustment to the track (turn an effect on/off or adjust a parameter) then I'll see the meter briefly but then it will drop out. It happens in individual effects also. If I'm trying to set a compressor I can only see the metering for a moment or two after I make adjustments. Help please.
I have a new imac 27" 3.3ghz 6 core 1TB ssd 32gb ram and adobe audition runs slow on my imac.I use the latest adobe audition version. When i record a song with audition, then there is a delay with the vu metering. When i select a part of a song, then there is also a little delay when i selecting a part of a song.Adobe audition runs much faster on my 3 years old windows pc then on my new imac.Is this normal?
Please help -- Audition just crashed on me and I appear to have just lost 6 hours of work on a project due today. After it reloaded it took me back to a part of the session. I'm afraid to close the program for fear of losing everything still retrievable. Can anyone offer pointers? [Mod note - moved to a thread of its own]
Hi!Thanks in advance for any advice/help.New install. Was pretty familiar with the VERY old version of AA.When in the Multitrack mode I dont see the input & output selectors for each track.Have I done something wrong? Is there something I can change to see these?ALSOJust above the tracks there are 4 squares - with Input/output, FX, Sends, EQbut when I press them nothing changes... how do I enable these?THANSK!
Im editing an audio drama, hoping to balance dialogue, actuality, sound effects and music. I'm adjusting levels in the waveform E.G making dialogue peak at -6db.Annoyingly, when i then place each file into the multitrack the levels reduce by about -3db on my level meter. I've had a look into multitrack preferences and the only thing i found was a setting that changes levels when you mix down the multitrack. I did change settings here just in case but unsurprisngly that didnt work.To make do, ive currently just been making the audio louder in the waveform but as ive started adding more sound effects and background noises etc and it would be great to know that my levels are accurate without constantly having to listen to it back, comparing between the waveform and multitrack to see if its changing. If anyone could help it would be greatlty appreciated.
Hi there, I've been creating personal mix discs of pop/rock/dance music for some time and have recently srtarted to use Adobe Audition to normalise the audio for each of my projects, so that the volume is consistent accross all the various songs which I compile within an album. I'm finding that the 'match loudness' function is working well. I tend to go with a track which is showing as the median LUFs (i.e. -11 LUFs) and then match all the volumes accross all other tracks to this level. I've been using the standard look ahead and release time settings (i.e. default of 12ms look ahead and 200ms release time) and in a lot of cases, it does it perfectly. However, I found that one track (which was at a really quiet level of -23 LUFs), once matched to -11 LUFs, it displayed some unusual playback whereby at one point of the track, the volume levels seemed to pulsate a bit, which was quite noticeable. I kept it matched to the same level (i.e. -11 LUFs) but decided to play around with the
Hi all I have been making music compilations in Audition CS6 recently and have been using 'Match Volume' to try and achieve consistent volume from song to song. In ITU-R BS.1770-2 Loudness I have LUFS set to -14.00, the Use Limiting box is ticked and Look-Ahead Time is set at 12.0ms and Release Time is set at 200.0ms. I have listened to all 20 songs on the compilation I ripped and the volume levels are reasonably consistent which I'm happy with but I have lost some top end. When I compare the ripped CDR to the 'original' source a certain amount of treble has disappeared particularly hi-hats and cymbals (I'm sure it's not my imagination). Would somebody be kind enough to let me know if this set-up is acceptable or/and recommend a better procedure to carry on with. Thanks in advance.
Hey, I've never come across this problem in the 8 years I've used audtion! It won't let me edit more than one track at a time, when I try to upload a second track the warning comes to say it has reached it's limit and I need to update cache settings. I thought initially it was because the first track was 2+ hours long but even with shorter tracks (20 - 45 minutes) the same problem keeps happening I have mutliple times but it keeps giving the same warning, has anyone else come across this? I'm not sure how to update/clear out old data any other way thanks
Hello! I can get my mic to record thru the premap to audacity but not the guitar and I'm going a bit nuts. Can someone assist me please? Yours truly, Lee
When I first got it audition and premier were working just fine and happily working with my sound card. Then suddenly it said my Nvidia graphics card was not compatible (I chose the laptop I have specifically based on Adobe saying my graphics card was recommended) so I updated the programs and magically the graphics card is totally fine again, but now the soundcard does not work and am getting an error as above. I have also tried 2 different external soundcards since (both which worked previously) and nothing works. [Mod note: Moved from a ten year old thread into a thread of its own]
Is there a way to gradually increase the tempo in an MP3? I'd like my file to start at the regular speed but sound faster and faster toward the end. Thank you

Well, I've just upgraded to a new computer and windows 10, and I'm finding out that I may just be out of luck trying to get my Audition 3.01 onto my new computer. In doing a search, I saw a how-to video from a person using Audition 3.5. From what I saw, it looked quite different than 3.01. Is 3.5 a real version, and would I be able to open my .ses files on it?This would be a real bummer if I wasn't able to open all my old song files...are there any other work arounds??? Harry
For those who do not know - Adobe no longer has activation servers for AA3. Anyone know a workaround for not being able to activate AA3 anymore. I've had to do a new install. Disabling activation is quite an astonishing move by Adobe if this really is the case thanks, Greg
