Dear Adobe Audition Team I am an Audition user and I want to provide feedback about an issue I have seen many times When I delete audio in the Waveform Editor and save the file the waveform still appears on the screen even though the audio should be gone I have tried clearing all caches deleting peak files and rebooting but the old waveform image still comes back This makes it confusing because I do not know if the audio is really gone or if the program just does not update the visual display It is especially difficult when switching between the Waveform Editor and Multitrack Editor because file references stay in the session even after clips are removed Suggestions Please add a way to refresh or reset the waveform display after destructive edits Add a button to force regenerate peak files Improve the sync between the Media Panel and timeline clips when files are deleted or changed Add a warning if the waveform image does not match the current audio state System info Adobe Audition 25
Hello everybody, I have a strange problem. I bought myself a Rodecaster Pro for my new podcast but when I open a new multitrack session in Audition, I can't change the input/output per channel. Simply because I don't see those two little arrows in the track! I found a tutorial where they said you had to zoom in on the track to see the arrows but for some reason that doesn't work for me. I also added a screenshot I took from a Youtube tutorial so you guys can see what I mean. Anybody who can help me? Thanks in advance! Greetings,Vince
I was working on editing a podcast episode when suddenly the sound cut out. I could see waves but not but when I pressed play, no sound and the level meter didn't move at all. Since then I tried and ruled out issues with:Back Up seems to have been corrupted too so can't use itAudio Channel MappingAudio HardwareChache CleaningComputer AudioMultitrack - Not mutedMultitrack - No "master" label needed as it wasn't recorded using the softwareNothing is muted or grayed outTried converting the audio and then back to see if that would shift something using: VLC, Adobe Media Encoder, Handbrake, Audacity, Reaper Other things to note:-Shared file with colleague, and they said it came to them as 25 minutes of silence -Sound Waves can still be seen- Levels don't move upon playing, and no sound- Originally recorded on my Zoom P8 Podtrak and had a successful transfer- Seems an error happened while I was recording when sound suddenly stopped. PLEASE HELP! It will
I'm tring to apply a distortion effect to a clip and having it gradually increase in intensity by the end of the clip. However, I cannot find an envelope SPECIFICALLY for the distortion effect, not the volume nor the pan envelope.
After a decade of happily using AA, I'm starting to encounter an issue where after recording something, I'll try to edit, and after a couple actions, the edit window will suddenly freeze up. That is, I can move the cursor but cannot click/select on the waveform itself. Nor will the keyboard respond (can't play audio). I can, however, open and click on menu items. I usually open a fresh track and start over as the issue doesn't occur consistently. Any ideas? Thanks!
I have to think this is a bug. When I edit and save something in Audition, instead of just adjusting the Data Modified and keeping the Date Created (like Izotope RX and XLD do for example), it overwrites the Date Created with the current date/time. I can't have this happen. What's going on?
I've been using Adobe Audition for 20 years. I have projects as old as 15 years ago that I plan to revisit. Unfortunately, I can no longer open them because they are .ses files while modern multitrack files are .sesx files. Can we get something that has backwards compatitbility that could allow us to still open these .ses files? Or at least can we still have a link to download Adobe Audition 3? I would hate to lose access to these multitracks.
Bonjour, Je cherche quelqu'un qui est plus expériementer pour néttoyer une bande audio.C'est urgent.
Why does my center channel extrator look like this?? I'm unable to change or edit the preset.
I'm using the latest version of Windows 11 Pro and the latest version 25.2 of Adobe Audition. When I try to export my audio file to burn a CD, I get an error message about audition.exe needing to close. It happens with both of my Blu-ray drives. This is a brand new problem. Any ideas? Did the latest update ruin CD burning?
https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/can-no-longer-burn-music-cds/td-p/15279614 also refers to this problem. As I reported there, this is a CD which I have previously burned successfully with an earlier relase of AA. The error message and report which appeared with the release version has been sent to Adobe. The Crash Recovery service did "activate" but did not allow burning to proceed on the second attempt. I wonder wherther this is related to the issue of problems when attempting to "Extract Audio from CD"?:https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-bugs/extracting-audio-from-cd-in-audition-crashes-the-program/idi-p/15269725. Latest AA log file is attached.
I'm trying to add station (audio) tags to generic sweepers in a single process. I'll need to do this several times over with different station (audio) tags, so streamlining it will help speed the process. I want to add this station tag at the end of a group of audio files at once, if possible.
I create a 30 minute car show and I was wondering if it is possible to have Audition create a music mix with songs I have selected. What I am wanting to happen is for Audition to sequence the audio file with a transition mix so that the music flows for the 30 minutes. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
Question. Has there been or is there planned an expansion and improvement of voice generation in the Effects > Generatte > Speech path in Adobe Audition? One male and one female voice which are ridiculously robotic doesn't provide anything like a realistic mockup for a script. Just curious.
I am attempting to use a ZOOM LIVETRACK L-8 multitrack recorder as an input interface on my MACPRO LAPTOP with my Adobe Auditon CC edition. The Livetrack L-8 driver is not showing up as a option n the Audition Hardware input Panel, after installing the zoom driver.I have tried uninstall and reinstall, no luck.ANyone know how to solve this ?
I've got a reverb on the effects rack of track 1, and I want to be able to ramp the reverb gain using an envelope. I can't find any way to do this, other than duplicate the track so I have one with reverb and one without, and mix between the two. Surely there's a more elegant way?I've experimented with all the Rack envelopes, and none do what I need. The one that comes closest is Rack Power, but that's basically a hard on/off control for rack effects, so it won't allow for gradually ramping the reverb gain up and down. For absolute clarity, I need to be able to make the track ramp from dry to wet and back again at various point defined by keyframes on an envelope. Ideally I want the envelope to be *only* affecting the gain of the reverb, *not* the gain of the dry source track. What's the best way to achieve what I want? On an analogue mixing desk (yes, I'm that old) I'd do it either by turning the reverb send level up and down, or using a pre-fader send to the reverb unit and bringing up
In an effort to paste an audio clip into my current audio file (command + v), my finger accidentally pressed *possibly* option or control (I'm using a MacBook Pro & the latest version of Audition). As a result, the waveform in my file turned gray. I could not edit it in any way, nor could I paste the clip after multiple attempts. Does anyone know what happened?
I have good input signal, I can hear all my mics very well, the recording is being made and I can hear it playback perfectly. Why are my waveforms so small? They're almost non-existent. I'm guessing I'm missing something pretty simple here. But I'm just getting started, and I can't figure this out. Would be hard to edit this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I noticed this question has been asked several times, but I haven't found an answer that directly addresses the problem and offers a solution beyond "well why would anybody want to do that?" Adobe makes it clear as mud, and YouTube isn't much better. So I decided to solve the problem myself. After some trial and error, I finally found the method that works 100% of the time. It requires following these steps in this exact order: 1) Select the entire file. You must do this before you start recording 2) Start recording (Favorites > Start Recording Favorite...) 3) Perform the edit or effect you want to save 4) Stop recording & name your favorite. Done! I've tested it repeatedly on different effects, and this is the way. Don't forget to undo the edit you just made to the entire file! [Mod note: title changed so that it's obvious what it's about]
Is a ART USB MIX 4 compatible with Audition?
I have an MP4 clip on my timeline that both Audition and PRPro show\s an audio waveform for. When I play that clip in the timeline no audio is played. when I did an Edit/Extract files to mono the new mono audio tracks files play fine. However, when I right clicked on the file in the Files panel in Audition and selected Extract Audio to New File, the extracted stereo file has a waveform, but again there is no audio when I click the play button. I'm also including this in the PRPro forum because that is where I first discovered the problem. However, In PR Pro if I right click on the clip, select Audio Channels, select "Left" in the Preview Media Source Channel, and click on the play arrow, the audio for that channel plays properly. The right channel was never intended to have sound so no surprise it doesn't play. I've used MP4 clips from this camera with no issues for the last 6 years, with this being the first clip this has ever
Hello. I am using Auditon 2025 and am no longer able to save or export projects. I am getting this error for the first time: An error occurred when saving the file to disk. The destination may be full or no longer available. Would you know how I can fix this? I am thinking it has something to do with disk space. But not sure how to proceed or even find the folders on this mac.
I am "mastering" an audio book and sometimes the narrator has these really scratchy/buzzy sounds that I can't get rid of. I'm new to Audition, but I figured out how to highlight the problem and run it through the click/pop eliminator. This works about 30% of the time. I thought it was a spike in volume, but it isn't. When I zoom in and look at the vocal curve, you can see that it's not smooth but very jagged. Is there a way to fix this? Here is a screen shot of a section that has been run through the pop eliminator but is still making that scratch sound. Any advice would be so helpful!
I just opened my adobe audition 2024 and everything had be reset to default settings. All the custom presets in my effects rack have disappeared, all the shortcuts have disappeared, my layout has changed. I didn't want this and I haven't done anything recently to make this happen. Is there a way I can restore it back to a previous state? This is beyond frustrating if I can't, since I would be losing a lot of stuff.
