Audition

So I started a multitrack project in Audition and I was doing a bunch of editing without any issues, and I saved and closed the project. I later reopened the project, and suddenly the playback is slowed and REALLY low-pitched. It sounds like the audio is lagging slightly behind where the playhead is on the project. I have reopened Audition several times and this issue is persisting. I have no idea what's going on. I don't know if it's an issue where somehow something has changed with the sample rate, but after looking at the .sesx file in a text editor it's definitely formated to 44100 hz and all of the audio files are also in 44100 hz. Would really like to fix this instead of starting all over.

When I use Open Append> in Audition and select consecutive clips from a CD that plays without gaps, there is audible sound hiccups where the track breaks had been. I'm a beginner so thanks for explaining it simply to this computer savvy but non-sound engineer. Is this an automatic crossfade issue? Details: I'm using Windows 10 Pro and trying to combine an accompaniment track for my choir to record with. The CD I'm pulling from has the song broken into short clips that correspond to specific measures in the sheet music.

I am using a Audient ID14 with Auditon and I want to be able to use both channels for mono audio.  Right now I can only use the left channel for mono.  When I look at the audio channel mapping it shows the L as mono but not the right.  How can I change this?  I want to be able to use both XLR inputs and record the audio on both channels based upon which one has the phantom power applied.  Currently I can do that for the L side but the R side has really low volume.  I am trying to find the correct settings in Audition to do this as it surely has to be possible.

Hello.I have to realise a podcast interview with Audition.I record my voice with my mike, and i want to record -at the same time- the voice of my guest (in Skype, Facetime, Messenger or other). Is it possible ? And if i just want to record a sound from my computer (vidéogame, conf call...) how can i do it ? I think it's possible with Audacity, but not with Audition ?Thanks a lot for your advices

I have been notified by a friend that Mac's new OS 11 is about to drop and that some Music software may not be compatible in the 64-bit world. I am a subscription Audition user, so my Audition is current. Is my Audition subscription going to be compatible with OS 11? Please advise...Thanks!

soooo frustratingAudition 13 cc is not recognizing plug ins  this is a huge problem! I have waves, izotope, etc and I really need these. Not a newbie. I know how to add plugin folders to the manager. Previous versions I added vst 64 and vst3, never a problem. Now I do a scan and nothing shows, scan just hangs  Previous editions, 0 issues. If i added new plugin and opened up effects manage/rescan, boom, there it was. What is different?Win 10/home/16gigs onboardNo issues, same folders vegas 17, sound forge 14, acid, cakewalk

Hi!I've just aquired the Korg nanoKontrol Studio. It is recognized in Mackie mode in Premiere and works as expected, however Audition won't recognize it as a control surface. I know that Audition is finicky about midi devices but as a control surface I read it works. Is there anything I can do? I purchased this to use specifically in Audition and have now spent at least 1.5 hours trying various things to no avail. Other topics don't provide any help. Thanks so much!

i have been trying to use a virtual audio cable and audition to do some real time voice EQ/compression/deesser and i can get the audio to work just fine in adobe and i can hear it in adobe, but when trying to use it as a real time editior and push said sound out to apps such as OBS and Discord i get 0 audio. My hardware settings are setup properly (as ive watched / read 5-10 different guides on this now) and still no audio is being pushed out of Audition.  

Hello there. I'm relatively new to Audition and am trying my best to figure things out. I've done pretty well but I'm having one problem that I cannot figure out. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.I use Audition to edit church sermons as well as to record and edit podcasts on my MacBook Pro, both of which are recorded with different microphones and systems (church is through the sound equipment there, and podcast I use Audition and a Blue Yeti). While I'm working with the files, everything sounds fantastic; all effects, tweaks, etc, have no issues. However, when I do the multitrack mixdown to both .wav and .mp3, the resulting sound quality is awful. It honestly sounds like going from listening to a CD to listening to an AM radio station in the bottom of a barrel. I have used other editing programs and iTunes for playback, but everything sounds terrible.I've tried searching for answers on Google and other message boards but nothing really addresses my issue. I've imported a mixdown mp3 into my multitrack session and Audition will not allow me to split the track at the playhead. Anybody know why that might be?

I'm trying to create favorites for effect I commonly use and am encountering an issue 1) I click "Start Recording Favorite"2) I apply the effect ("Mouth De-Click" for example)3) I click "Stop Recording Favorite"4) I name and save the favorite. Is there a way to create a new favorite that I can apply to different sections of audio? It seems that I'm only able to create a favorite to apply to an entire selection, or one specific section of an audio file. For example: I want to be able to create a favorite, and then be able to apply it to different sections of an interview as I edit. Right now it only applies it to the entire file. When I try to create a favorite by appliying it to a section of the file, the favorite will only apply it to that section, even when a different section is selected.   Any help?

I have a 5.1 project that I've been working on for a few months. I have all the outputs set to default 5.1 and when trying to export mixdown the options are all greyed out. I read a few posts that say that I need to switch my outputs to Master however when I do that I lose my 5.1 surround pan settings. Any suggestions on how to fix this? 

I can't seem to find a way to disable the creation of XMP files when I edit a .flac file in Adobe Audition 13.0.9.41 (Mac Os).If I hit Save as... I can uncheck the option for metadata.If I just open a flac file and hit Save, I don't get a Save dialog.But what I want is to uncheck this globally for Save operations.Please help me to find a way to disable this .. 😉

Please, i need help with a project for school. I am going to record sublimial messages. I already have affermafions recorded, can someone who knows Audition well please walk me through  opening the file in Audition then changing the freequencies out of the human range of hearing?The finished recording should be silent! Anyone know how to prevent the lag while editing in Waveform (on long audio tracks)?  Everytime I work on a long file in Waveform, the processing slows down significantly by the end--so when I simply want to remove a click sound from a voice, say, it takes 3 seconds to perform the task vs doing it in real-time.  Any suggestions?  Very grateful for your help.

Hi,Running Audition CC 2019 on a MacBook with Mojave 10.14.4.On playback, even of a single track, the cursor jumps and judders along the waveform, struggling to keep up. It makes editing very hard.Checking activity monitor, with every other app closed, Audition accelerates very quickly to using 97% of the CPU (I'm on a dual core).That doesn't seem right for a straight playback of a single track of audio without effects. It's clearly struggling to keep up.Have reinstalled Creative Cloud and all the apps, and nothing seems to fix it.Any ideas?Cheers.

Hi, I'm trying to create a binaural beat in AA. When I put the two tones on separate tracks and pan one Left and one Right, I see this reflected in the master levels as would be expected.  However, when I listen to the output with headphones I still hear the L track on the R side and vise versa.    The goal is to hear only the L channel tone in the left phone and the R channel tone on the right phone.  I'm using Audition CC and a Macbook pro.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thaddaeus

I placed a WAV file in Adobe Audition waveform editor (not multitrack). I then trimmed audio. I clicked File - Save — but I meant to click File - Save As. Is there a way to restore the original file (and all the stuff I trimmed? I immediately click CTRL-Z a bunch of times, but I was not able to get it back to the full untrimmed version. I still have Auditon open.

Friends, About a month ago, I upgraded my 2017 iMac from High Sierra to Mojave.About a week ago, I successfully ran Adobe Audition CS6 on the upgraded system.This morning, when I tried to open AA, I got: The application “Adobe Audition CS6.app” can’t be opened.I uninstalled, then reinstalled AA, but the same "can't be opened" message appears.All other apps from Creative Suite 6 appear to be working fine.Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
