Audition

My screen looks like its "icing" over when moving the cursor around?  How can I make it stop?

Hello,I have Adobe Audition 3 installed on my Windows 10 machine.On my old Win 10 machine it work without problems but not on my new machine.Everytime I start the software it says that I haven't activated the sound input.How can I activate it? I have chosen the standard Adobe Audition sound driverHave a nice day and a happy new year! Best regardsleon1912

When using the graph and trying to adjust the eq using the numbered dots, only the dot moves.  Blue line and resulting eq effect does not function.  Fortunately I also have 12.1.5.3 still loaded and it functions properly on the old version.What's up with this issue?Why is there not a topic to select from before posting that refers to "bug" or "problem"

  i import an audio file into audition(the format of the audio file is mp3), i find the front part of audio is lost, only see  the remaining  waveform,hear the remaining audio.it is not the whole of the original file. i import the same audio file into other daw,such as reaper,goldwave,etc. it works well. i can see and hear the whole audio. i guess , the phenomenon may due to audition cut the header file of the mp3 coding file automatically?? whatever, is there any solutions can solve my problem about this which maybe important,thanks! ps: here is my audio file.https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoqP5VckTZWCgSjPrr0ed9BrTXl6?e=aEFu11 

Hi. Wrestling with a massive project- a feature length film for which I recorded sound and am in charge of mixing post. I have Audition CC. I have an OMF file from the AD and have 3 hard drives containing all relevent audio/video files for the project. Upon launching the OMF, I get the error: 400 of the 400 files referenced by the session could not be found. Fine. So... I proceed to "Link Media" and scroll to the folder for the first file, but what it is specifically asking me is to "Please locate the file 9b45d95a-f863-4eda-9360-657cd69d52da.1.wav for clip 4CH143I." So I easily locate 4CH143I and click "OPEN." So, that 1st file of 400 has now been identified and linked. But now it is prompting me to find the next clip (of 400!!) Surely this is not how this process should be working. Anyone out there that can help an audio post newbie?? P.S. I have other questions as well. Many. James

Hello!Previously, I could record a track in stereo, recording was from a microphone to both tracks. After reinstalling the application, I can only write in mono mode. There are settings for both channels, but one of them is marked as mono (see image). Tell me, please, how can I record in stereo?

I have exported MP3 files before, but for some reason, last night my program stopped exporting my files. I  highlight the track I need, which is the one labeled as Host, then I go to File>Export>Multitrack Mixdown>Selected Clips. I am no longer getting the little circle that shows the progress/percentage when project is complete/exported. I am using High Sierra on a Macbook (early 2015), updated Adobe Audition, & restarted computer.  I also copied and pasted the file to another track and exported, it saved but with no audio sound! It was not muted when I highlighted and exported. 1 hr and 14 seconds were just silent. I sent the raw file to myself so I could open on another computer that has Adobe Audition, but all the tracks were flatlined.  What am I missing?

I’m just wondering how to make the two stereo levels of audio recorded via a zoom h5 mic work so that the voice sounds entered instead of in my left headphone as it does now. I tried my best to record correctly but I must have had the mic at a slight angle and not sure if there’s anything I can do to fix it  

Here are few questions that I can't figure out with this program.   1. Under Effects on the tool bar on the top, it shows silence, but it is grayed out, so I can't access it. So how do I turn it on?  I like to create 10 seconds of silence when I am looking to break out different sections of audio.   2. When editing an audio file, the window shows the mp3 in green, and the red cursor shows where you are at in the audio.  But when the red cursor goes off the screen to the right, it doesn't keep going to right as long as there is audio, it starts over in the left side of the window, along with the remaining audio. How can I set it up so that the red cursor and the audio just keep moving to the right?   3.  Where do I locate my serial number in the program.  Adobe Audtion asked for it, and I don't know where to find it?   Thanks, Dean Huibregtse dhuibreg@gmail.com      

For some reason, the waveform has stopped responding to certain changes, even though it did before. Now, whenever I adjust the volume or apply a fade, Audition will allow me to make these adjustments, but the waveform doesn't change.

Hello, and Happy 2020  In my editing of an audiobook, following the author's notes, I am instructed to remove "thumps" which I missed in my first pass.  It has taken me a while to even hear these, but I have finally found them and been able to isolate their sound print in the spectral view.    The problem is, I am not sure these are actual "noise" -- I can't seem to filter them out, and their signature in the spectral view shows more of a sound "hole" rather than a "thump."  Still, there is something noticeably wrong to the ears of the boss, and I am trying to figure out how to deal with it. We do have the option of re-tracking these segments, but I would MUCH rather figure out how to correct these in Audition.Can any of you hear the thump, under the word "lying" in the attached sample?   Any suggestions on how to fix it?Thanks very much.Rob https://www.dropbox.com/s/bdk2t1tsje7zqxf/THUMP-UNDER-LYING.wav?dl=0 P.S.  I

I upgraded to Adobe Audtion 2019 and it no longer supports text to speech in other languages. Is there a lauguage pack download or plug in that will work with Audtion 2019?

Hi, When roudtripping from Premiere Pro to Audition and back i have a problem. When done adjusting the multitrack session in Audition and choose export/export to Premiere Pro, in the export window the option 'Open in Premiere Pro' is greyed out. I have to manually open the exported xml-file in Premiere Pro and everything works fine. I'm on the latest version of Windows 10 and the Adobe CC (2020) apps. Anybody else has this problem? Thanks

I filed a bug report yesterday. I also alerted the guys on twitter -Running ver.2017 on a Quad MacPro w/32 gigs of RAM and a 1 gig ATI GPU on El Capitan.I noticed this yesterday while cutting an audio clip. At first the behavior was only occurring in the Global Waveform view/area and in the Prewire Editor. This morning I'm noticing if you make a large selection in the Editor, the issue persists.Video is about 40sec. Also, towards the end I drop in two Markers and select the area within the Markers, then delete. Im trying to cut sections of a song out, but I want to cut at the right time eg on a tap or downbeat. Im wondering if audition has any feature in it that lets you easily cut at a tap or downbeat

When trying to connect my Presonus Faderport to Audition 3.0, the transport controls are working but if I try to map any other buttons or a footswitch to any function, I get the error message "The specified device is already in use. Wait until it is free, and then try again". How do I fix it?!

Hi there, I've been using adobe premiere to edit a project I'm working on and I'm having an issue with the audio. There is a humming noise from the air conditioner and periodic crackling from the lavelier mics. I tried noise removal on adobe premiere pro but it's very difficult to isolate the noise as there is dialogue in the scence. Any suggestions would be very helpful!
